I would imagine flashing a kernel before January security patch would fix this (or maybe with the January security patch). Not running Carbon right now but just a guess.

Haha awesome! Thanks for the ROM
Great
Waooo that's another one ....
First of all, thanks for this great work!
The overall performance is really good.
At the moment, I found this issues:
google voice fails (FC) I dont know if this is a mini open Gapps fail or the rom. All is last versioned.
*Compass is not working
*Magnetic field sensor is not working
*Turbopower not reported
Stock FM Radio app allows to use it without any headphones connected. Rom's app not.
My G5+ is the 2gb ram USA version (XT 1687)
Thanks

What statusbar mods are in this ROM? I personally prefer center clock. Is this included in the ROM? And how about switching the navigation buttons? And the last question, what camera app/mod is included?
Nice and smooth rom, fp unlock is as quick as OOS, just running on default kernel but will install blu_spark, battery time is ok atm but too early to say for sure, no problems in installation, magisk 16.4, decrypted, all in all awesome job, thanks to op, keep up the good work, cheers.

Very nice.:fingers-crossed:
really fast and nice, flashed yesterday.
The only thing I really miss a lot is the reverse navbar layout, does anyone know if there is a way to reverse it with app/mod/magisk ?

Enable Usb debugging
Connect to computer
In adb command window, type the following :
adb shell

Nice and smooth rom, fb unlock is as quick as OOS, just running on default kernel but will install blu_spark, battery time is ok atm but too early to say for sure, no problems in installation, magisk 16.4, decrypted, all in all awesome job, thanks to op, keep up the good work, cheers.

Its working absolutely fine with no problems, battery life is just right not brilliant but thats the case with every lineage/aosp based rom but deep sleep seems to be better than the stock kernel, hope this helps, cheers.

CarbonROM is an aftermarket firmware based on the Android Open Source Project. We are dedicated to fast, stable, and feature-filled roms, honesty and communication with our users, and openness with our code. We like frequent builds, with the very latest and greatest hardware support and fixes. We strive to not only provide you with the best rom we can build, but also to give back to the Android community and our fellow developers. For us, this is about creating something we can be proud of and hope you will enjoy.
Disclaimer:
This is an unofficial release and is prone to changes that may/may not reflect in the future official release.
While we make every effort to test these builds as much as possible, we are not responsible for anything that may happen to your device, family, pets, or perception of reality. We ask that you do your part to know your device and know how to recover from problems before you flash! These builds are experimental and can contain Bugs (as listed above). Make sure to do backups.
Support:
We spend an astonishing amount of time developing this software. We can't spend much time on XDA as a result, so if you need support, please try the following:
1) Search. Search, search, search. Yes, you. I don't care how unique or important your question is, it's very likely someone has adressed it already. Especially if you're even close to new at this.
2) Read our FAQ, which can be found on our website. Carbon FAQ
3) Ask a question in your device forum. Someone will no doubt try to help you. Warning: this help may come in the form of telling you it's a dumb question that has been asked before. See step 1 - such are the perils of asking questions when you haven't done the research yourself. Android is about helping yourself.
4) Join our Discord server! There, you can connect with other Carbon users and our developers, and you can get quicker responses to your bug reports. The invite link is right below.
5) Please keep bugreports to this thread or Discord. Do NOT create a Jira ticket. This is still in early development so we don't accept any bugreports yet.

Sorry to be doubtful, but are you certain? On all Q roms I've tried so far this seems to be an issue. I mean when you plug in the phone through USB and use AA with the cars built-in display...
Thanks so much
Does it have widevine L1 ?
If someone will be instal rom please write about encryption (working or not).
Sorry my bad english.

Widevine is a part of Firmware, not Rom. So with Firmware 11.0.4 you are on the save side
