I have a Lenovo TAB 2 A10-70F (2015) tablet that runs Android 6.0.
I have a new 32 GB microSD card.
When I inserted the card into the tablet, Android asked me to format it, which I accepted.
When I connect the tablet to my Windows 10 PC and try to transfer 5 GB video files onto the memory card, it fails (no error message, just an error sound).
I presume it's because Android formatted the memory card as FAT32?
So I connected the memory card to my PC manually and formatted it to exFAT using Windows' built-in format tool but when I reinsert it back into the tablet, Android says it's corrupted and needs formatting.
Any ideas?

I press unmount and then format and i press yes. But nothing happens. It doesnt format and it doesnt remount my sdcard.
Anyone else had this problem?
Im running Modaco (tried on both 2.2 and 2.6)
Yep, I had this problem earlier today. Just bought a new 16Gb sd card, tried to format it and nothing. Nothing on the phone and if I tried to mount it to Windows, it would say mounted, then Windows would say it needs to format the card, but would fail when you try.
In the end, the only thing I could do was to put the card into my work phone (a Touch Pro) and mount it to Windows via that. I was then able to format the card in Windows. Put it back back in the Hero and rebooted (because the SD card error message wouldn't go away). After that, it was fine.
Don't know why it doesn't work, but I think you will need to mount the card in Windows somehow and format it that way.
Plug it via a memory card reader and format it as FAT32 by right-clicking your memory card under "My Computer" and selecting Format..
// This is an alternative method and will most likely work
My 2 yr old 8gig Sandisk SDHC class 2 sudden;u went kaput, cannot be detected by my Topaz (strangely, my Topaz cannot detect other microSD as well, a 4Gb Sandisk Class 6 which is working fine on a Raphael).
The error message on my XP SP3 PC is like this:
Exception Processing Message c0000013
Parameters 75b6bf7c 4 75b6bf7 c 75b6bf7c
[Cancel] [Try Again] [Continue]
Can't detect, thus can't format.
Any help, please?
i'd think that this is connected to apps2sd feature. try partitioning it in recovery image, or format in card reader in pc.
I updated my Tablet S to the latest firmware, now my computer wont recognize the 16GB memory card. It shows on the tablet. When I connect to my pc, only the internal storage is displayed. I'm using a windows 7 64 bit system.
I have a 16gb Sandisk micro SD card which is readable by my computer under Windows 7 OS. I can’t format the memory card either on my computer. It only shows me the file type of the card is raw. Under Disk Management, the only option for the card is formatting. But the format process always failed in the end. How can I format my micro SD card to fat32 on my Windows 7 computer?
:crying:

Hello ! I have an isssue with 2 sd cards. When I insert an sd Card inside my phone, it says "looking for errors" then I have a message that say "SD card is corrupted, tap here to format it" then it says "unable to format sd card".
I can use that SD card on pc and i tried to format it but when it's on my phone it's not working...
I have an XPERIA E5
Hi,
Seems obvious, but can your phone support the size of the SD? Some are limited 32, 64, 128...
Depending on your computer OS you might have to possibility to format at different level(quick, or deep - if I remember well) and set the type FAT, FAT32, NTFS. The standard for SD cards is, if I got it right, FAT32
What version of Android are you running, what manufacturer? Has your card ever worked on that phone before?
Has the card been inserted in other android devices (encrypted, specific to manufacturer)?
Many questions, but it's difficult to help you otherwise
Hello all
I have a Nokia 6.1 running Pie.
I have a 64GB MicroSD card, but everytime I format it on my PC to EXFAT or NTFS to allow files which are larger than 4GB (movies) everytime I put the SD card back in the phone it won't work unless I format it again in the phone which then formats it to FAT32 or something which doesn't allow files bigger than 4GB! It's driving me crazy as I can't find a solution! Also I've tried to format it in the phone to use as phone storage to extend the 16gb in the phone but when I plug the phone into my PC it only shows the internal storage as the 16GB, not the extra 64GB...
Please help!
