FOR EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY
You can download droidjack on your pc and then create an apk using droidjack and install it on your target phone
Possibilities with droidjack are limitless and insane
But remember use it only for EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES if you don't want to get behind bars.

Thanks, but as I can see it is paid.
With AirDroid I could connect remotely and control my device

[Q] Remote Control Android Phone

I would like to be able to control my parent's mobile phones. They are not good with technology so I'm having issues walking them through how to fix various little things on their phone. They are coming to visit me soon and I'd like to install software on it that allows me to control the hardware from a remote location.
I've been doing remote control for their home PCs for years and it's saved so many headaches because I can remotely deal with it myself without any user interaction. This is what I'm looking for to control their cell phones. I'd prefer the ability to click with a mouse on areas of the screen to emulate touching it with a finger.
Both phones are identical. They are both AT&T Samsung Infuses on Froyo (I could upgrade them to GB but they really don't care. I will if it gives me more options though). Both phones are not rooted and they don't want me doing anything with that because they want their warranty.
Thanks guys!!! ...and yes I did a search there's nothing new on the topics in a while and most speak of apps that require root.
just putting this out there, any app that allows a remote user to control hardware would HAVE to have root access by its nature. Otherwise, any of your remote actions wouldnt actually do anything.

if that's the case then what's my best bet to get this done? Anotherwords what's the best remote software that doesn't require root and what would it allow me to do remotely???
goo. gl/ YgRTo
Access to basic settings, really simple stuff like turn on/off wifi/GPS/etc
Not really anything useful.

AirDroid allows users to enter passcode on web.airdroid.com, so I was confused.
You can do it without rooting now, try our new app, VMLite VNC Server, it allows you view and control your android phones from a PC. works on S2 with Jelly Bean.

work with Froyo? Main use is to control my parent's phone (Samsung Infuse) and since they're not tech savvy is it easy to setup remotely?
yes, event works with Eclair, Froyo is fully supported.
I agree with the VMLite VNC server option , works decently for me.
For Samsung phones, you can also look for TeamViewer Quick Support on the Play Store.

You may try teamviewer to control your phone.
This app is good, tried it a few month ago but it lacks fullscreen mod.
you can resize the window when in landscape mod but as soon as you turn the phone and go back to landscape it get back to the little window.
Best app i ever installed... been searching for something like this for months!

I use teamviewer for the PCs of my mom and dad. I would like to use it for their tablet too, but that costs money - a lot of money just to do that. So Teamviewer is no option.
I'll try this one, but is it possible to use it over internet or only via wifi?
edit: Tried, but doesn't work
Whe I try to connect, I see the phone with a temporary wait-symbol, but right after that the PC gives a 'You have lost the connection.'
I do get a notification that the PC has connection to my phone, but at the same time the connection is 'broken'/stopped.
so it doesn't work.
Also, it only seems to connect via USB or Wifi, so it's not useable for me. A pity!

Me too , Please test on OS 4.3 . I love this project.
Working on my Note2 and Windows7.
thanx for sharing.
minor complaint: a bit laggy but that's ok.
Mobizen is a powerful app! I can actually control my phone on PC. I can reply SMS, reply Whatsapp message, basically do anything from web browser.
But the connection turns out not so good, fast, after a while so that I have to reconnect it. And the PC APP connection has been running for like 2 minutes and it is still not connected.
So, if you can improve the connection speed, that's really great.
Hi, how I can do to connect n7100 wifi only for ?, the password is correct, and the USB connection works and data connection, but I do not want those two methods, I want to wifi, and always gives me error.
There's something I'm doing wrong ?.
Regards, and thanks.

[Q] Father of special needs kid needs help with android setup

Hi,
This is a pretty special use case, and I hope you guys can help me put together a solution, that will help my family.
My daughter is severely autistic, but loves music. We have worked with CD's for years, but they get destroyed by herself, and are a constant source for conflict for a variety of reasons - because we need to control her access to them (music-time vs. sleep-time for instance) and control the volume. I have to think, I could come up with a technical solution, so we could avoid physical media altogether.
Here is what I would like:
Take our Nexus 7, fill it up with music (maybe google music), mount it on the wall in her room, hook speakers up to it and let her control it as she likes. However, we need to be able to override, ie. lock her out of it if necessary, control the volume etc. I also do not want her to be able to screw up the Nexus by doing other stuff on it, so I would like to be able to lock it to just the music app, unless myself or my wife unlock it to do some sort of maintenance.
To sum up:
- Nexus 7
- Control volume / lock remotely - from pc or another android phone
- Music software
- Access restricted to limited list of apps (music app first and foremost)
How could this be done on Android? What software should I use?
I hope you guys have some good suggestions, so I can get a nice solution to this. Thanks in advance.
Hi
Never really tried to do anything like this but maybe you could create another user profile that has limited functions, I don't know how limited you can be with this but any nexus seven model should allow for a second profile, only allow her to use this one
And in this profile use a launcher that allows you to hide apps if Google won't remove enough for you.
On this profile and the one you create for yourself have a lockscreen password of sorts as well
There may even be an app or launcher in the market to do something this similar.
As for remotely controlling it, I've never tried this, I know you can if it is wired... Actually if you have an adb shell opened on a PC and connect wirelessly to that PC with adb then you could use the PC to turn it off but it would disconnect at this point
Hope you find a working solution, feel free to bounce ideas or questions off me, best of luck!

Well i hope you can bascially connect the nexus to the speakers and use a app locker just sure u wont lock the music app then it would lock other apps and through it you can allow or deny access to other apps and check these links to remotely use the nexus via ur pc http://drippler.com/google/nexus_7#!766313

Hope it might help!
Best of luck
Hit thanks button if i helped
After finally getting root on the device, I hours trying to get a VNC server to work - with no luck at all.
Airdroid works, and while it is pretty damn clever piece of software, it does not really allow me meet any of my requirements. Yes, I can lock the device, but I cannot turn off the sound or exit a running application.
Limiting a profile to just a few apps seems doable, but if we cannot control volume and access to the device remotely, I cannot wall-mount it and prevent her taking it and damaging or losing it. Having a connected to a PC permanently becomes to complicated.
I am considering maybe just putting all her music on a mediaserver, installing an app for it on the nexus (like Plex) - and then creating a kill-switch for the mediaserver. That way there is no local music on the device, and I am able to cut the connection to the music, which I think eliminates the requirement to remote control the device itself.
Did you try setting up adb wirelessly? This would at least allow you to kill the app or turn off device, I don't know if you could change volume though.
Looking through the app store their are many child lock apps, maybe dig around there a bit and see if there is something that has more controls that can be done remotely

If I may, the style of music makes a difference too. Easy listening gospel being the best and the Lord being the very top, He listens and His yoke is light.

I have now set up plex with a specific section for her music, shared that folder with a user account I logged in with on the Android Plex App - and she can now see her music collection and play it. I have not yet found an elegant (read: wife friendly) way to "unshare" her music library - without taking down all plex server sharing. But I will figure something out.
I have also managed to limit the user profile on her nexus 7 to just the plex media player. However, there are many options for her to mess with in the player itself, that I am unable to lock down. I am also unable to let her use the youtube app, as it does not run on "restricted profiles" - but that was just a "nice to have", not a "need to have".
Input and ideas are still welcome.

[Q] Remote access app

Hi.
I'm new here, so apologies in advance if i ask a question that was handled in a previous thread.
I'm looking for a decent app that will allow me to control an android device from a pc. I have a tablet that is being used as a kiosk device and i would like to connect remotely and check the status of apps, run scripts, generally just troubleshoot issues that might pop up from time to time. I would like screen sharing also, that would make things a lot easier. I've tried webkey, teamviewer, airdroid but none of them give me the kind of functionality I need
At the moment I'm using a Nexus 7, but I'd like the app to work on any device. In future we might start using generic android devices, nothing brand-specific.
Any help in this regard would be greatly appreciated

Hey,

Here is the original thread ShareKM on XDA
If you read it a bit they start to talk about the workarounds.
Hope that helps you I'm also very interested in this.

Thanks. But as far as I can see, this only works if the pc and android device are on the same network. My kiosk devices are hundreds of kilometers away, so I need something that works over the internet
