Hi everybody! I have just bought this phone (F3213) a week ago, I live in Peru and the firmware here (36.0.A.2.109), is full of trash apps that I can't eliminate.
I'd like to know if its possible to flash the last version (Generic LAM is 36.0.A.2.146), without any problems. I have seen that many people got their devices bricked during this process. I don't care about rooting, I only want to have my device updated and more space for myself.

Hey everybody. I just purchased an HTC One ( a little late, but it wasn't available in my country, Mexico until about 2 weeks ago) I checked what version of Android I was running and I was unpleasantly surprised to know that I was running 4.1.2... I tried to update the software but the phone told me that I was running the latest version available for my phone... I wasn't planning on rooting but know that i'm stuck in 4.1.2 I might try to. Is there anyway I can update to at least 4.2.2? I would really appreciate some help.

i hope 4.2.2 available for your device and your country.
backup your all data contact photo massage and all you need. then format your phone. then check for update if still not get better to go service center and update your phone safest way
1st of all my apologies - i wrote something similar already but i ve got too much different answers. Perhaps I wasnt accurate enough. So once again cos this problem is important for me.
SO :
I moved from London to Turkey for longer term. After 6 months from my HTC registration, my next registration was refused and I was forced to buy here - in Turkey - new phone Samsung S III. I rooted it, did my customisation and left it as is even im phone maniac.
Maybe somebody knows that using m. phone in Turkey is little different than on the West. All is under heavy control and registrations. From this reason Im writting this question.
- I want to upgrade from 4.2.1 to 4.3. But I want ENGLISH FW not TURKISH ( I know I can switch languague - im not talking about it). ( On SamMobile turkish is pending but englsh is out already).
Question is : Can I upgrade TURKISH phone with ENGLISH FW without danger Ill be facing some problems or disconnecting even?
( again Im not talking about warrancy - its lost together with root)
Reason : Im moving back to London in 2 years. + I want continue to use my phone under 4.3 here and in england as well ( KitKat is waiting with same problem)

I bought this model in Istanbul but due the fact I must fulfil my work here plus I got married here, Im returning 2 years later. Si my question is exactly :
Will my phone work in Turkey and later in England ?( in England I can do lot of things with my phone, only here - in Istanbul - Im little worried cos of unexpected and hidden rules of providers...my old HTC is proof. Lets say - Im upgrading not downgrading so IMEI and etc should be ok even thx to backup.
Of course new FW Ill root etc again.

I've been waiting for the 4.4.4 update for my Canadian SGP511 Z2 tablet for the last 3 days, still no sign. I've tried to flash it myself but bricked it lol.
Has anyone gotten this update in Canada? I'm starting to fear that it won't be released here for this model at all, since I've heard some people in Canada has yet gotten the september update for their z1 phones...
Is that possible?

I don't think region matters much on SGP511. You can use any 4.4.4 ftf or zip file made for SGP511.

I have a french stock Tablet Z2 32 Gb. I checked within Xperifirm and everyone got the Lollipop update except the region including France, Germany etc...
Did I miss a note saying that we won't get the update ? Lollipop is rolling out for others regions since days or weeks. I find it odd that we don't have it yet ?

Yes i'm also in the same boat. All regions got Lollipop but not ours. (SGP511) (1281-8033)
I wrote to Sony about this but they won't give me any information.
This is very frustrating. I love my Lollipop on the Z3 Compact. It works great and looks so nice.
Has anyone flashed a FTF from a different region on there device? Are any issues to be expected?

The Taiwanese prerooted .726 firmware which has a thread in this forum should -according to xda members - also work on a SGP512.
Region is really irrelevant - as soon as you set the language on the welcome screen, they're really all just the same.

In that case, could somebody give a hint which region to choose, that is for me, which region/customisation is the less bloated one?
Also irrelevant, because if you're rooted, you anyway can uninstall or deactivate the bloat apps.

It's running great. I should have done this sooner. But who knew that after over a Month release of Lollipop the German devices would still not have it via OTA.
Does any body know what will happen once 5.1 is released for xperia devices? Will i get it OTA via my original region or via the region i just flashed manually? Or do i always need to flash manually from now on?

All reports so far have said it causes crashes, so no. When the international release of the watch ships, there'll be a firmware that can be applied that will make it English, like with the 1st gen

Until someone gets the international model and dumps the firmware, at which point either a ROM will be made or if they dumped the firmware as images, it can be flashed directly
