Hello everyone,
I did unlocked bootloader of my Redmi note 3 unofficially and using Android 7.1.2 now. But if I flash miui back (whether global or dev) it will relock the bootloader and and I will lost everything as I tried few months back.
So just wanted to know that how can I install MIUI back to my phone without any problem.
P.S. sorry for my bad english.
You can flash xiaomi.eu in twrp, as i know this one don`t relock bootloader

Hello, okay so I have been looking round a lot for the right method of how to root my Redmi Note 3 Pro (snapdragon) but i literally cannot find the correct way for my miui version or android version. My device is running Miui Global 8.0.1.0.0 stable (LH0CNDG) on android 5.1.1. The bootloader is already unlocked. But i just really can't seem to find the correct way to root the device and install TWRP. Could someone please help me? Thanks.

looks like your rom are distributor version. It should be easier to flash TWRP via fastboot by press vol down + power button.

When i bought the phone the seller put a global rom on which automatically unlocked the phone.

what i did:
1. request official bootloader unlock (just in case its needed)
2. flash global dev rom with the official miui updater app on the phone (load the file from xiaomi)
3. unlock the bootloader with the official xiaomi unlocker tool
4. flash twrp image via fastboot commands
5. within twrp i flashed the twrp alka via flash -> image -> flash recovery partition
6. reboot into recovery to get to twrp alka
7. backup all the partition (in my case with official MM 6.0.1 MIUI relase i had to wipe all user data in twrp to get rid of phone encryption)
8. flash Supersu.zip in twrp alka
9. reboot, be patient and enjoy
I just received the Redmi Note 3 pro running the same Miui Global stable 8.0.1.0.0 and bootloader already unlocked. How do I know if it has been unlocked via official / non official way?
Do I have to install the official TWRP or not?
Is it possible to lock the bootloader again and the unlock it via official way?
I obviously don't want to brick my device!
Thank you.
8.0.1.0.0 is a vendor rom. Check the linked wiki on how to flash official rom (by EDL mode). If the seller unlocked the bootloader they more than likely did it unofficially.
hi
i have miui 8 lolipop rooted and twrp. now i want go to miui 8 marshmallow with official recovery zip file. what can i do to not locking bootloader again and get rooted ?
if i change boot.img from new downloaded rom with kitchen that will work ? or needs do more other works ?
thanks
Why rush to Marshmallow?
But, if you want to flash it, there is a thread on MIUI forum for Marshmallow Kate ( bootloader unlock, TWRP and root ).
My suggestion would be to wait for a while, and see how the situation with MM works out. No need to rush. It's not that you REALLY NEED Marshmallow in your life.
And whats wrong with MM?
my china dev 6.11.3 is stable and smooth, also inbuilt root
you need cofface or ZCX twrp to flash official ROMs without patch.
also if you have official unlocked BL then you can unlock it as many times you want/need on dev rom.
i suggest china dev, china firmware is better imo and I have tried all 4 variants for kenzo.
you can also flash it through miflash with fastboot ROM, thats how I do it, I got bootloop few times when flashing recovery and I used cofface twrp...
I have Redmi 5 Plus (vince) with China beta ROM installed.
I just unlock my bootloader and flashed global stable and beta ROM from here:
http://en.miui.com/a-234.html
http://update.miui.com/updates/v ... bal&b=F&r=global&n=
vince_global_images_V9.2.13.0.NEGMIFA_20180302.0000.00_7.1_global_cf18fc4bbc.tgz
Fastboot ROM flashed successful and working fine. But problem is when I relock my bootloader again, device not booting. Its goes directly to miui recovery and giving message "the miui version cant be installed on this device" type message. But if I unlock again, device boot and working.
But I want to use my device with locked bootloader.
Please help me if anybody know how to use global stable or beta rom with lock bootloader for Redmi 5 Plus. I want global rom with google service without any error. China rom giving google service error sometime
I still use miui eu but i saw many post about stock china change to global ....certainly only way is unlock bootloader and flash rom by mi flash of xiaomi...your case just happen when u use method click to test point in mainboard....
I think you should to lock boot loader because it good when fone bug
You have to flash china stable rom using test point method. Flash and lock in miflashtool. Then you can unlock bootloader again with no waiting and flash global ROM this time with clean all and flash in miflashtool.
I had to do that procedure last week. Same problem than you
Hello, I have a Redmi Note 3 Special Edition, which I unofficially unlocked a year ago, and I'd like to go back to the stock ROM. Do I need to flash the stock rom in EDL mode or is regular fastboot flash okay?
Thanks.
