Hi,
Phone : mi4i
version : miui 8.1.5.0 | Stable
Issue :
Screen blinks constantly on incoming calls and when outgoing calls are made, making it difficult to answer and end the calls.
Checked the following :
1.) Proximity sensor is working fine, checked in hardware test and calibration resulted in PASS.
2.) Tried Factory data reset as well.
3.)Updated to latest stable version of MIUI.
Info :
Android Version : 5.0.2 LRX22G
MIUI Version : MIUI Global | Stable (8.1.5.0(LXIMIDI))
Observation :
On trying several things to resolve this i found this,
When i used a different (4g)sim card , though the phone does not support LTE, it works fine and does not blink.
But, on switching back to old sim (3G), issue is observed.
I even replaced the sim card assuming it might be a sim issue, but still the same problem persists.
Please let me know if anymore info is needed from my end.
Your help will be very much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

ok this phone a brand new, i can receive calls and text but when i dial a number and try to make a call the phone restarts
This is factory unlocked and not rooted
Try flashing a newer radio rom.
I dont want to root it incase i cant get the original rom back.
It is weird as, i have tried with every sim card to make calls and it works but when i put the 3 sim in does plays up
We experienced the same issue on some Turkish networks as well and flashing a newer radio rom fixed the problem. Flashing roms and rooting are totally different. What you need is a newer version of your current baseband ( radio rom ) sbf and official motorola software flasher " RSD Lite 5.3 "
Hope it helps.
Thank you so much for that Semseddin.
My problem solved, i just flashed it using RSD lite 4.9
Thanks everyone
Hi. I've been having the exact same issue. I've got an unlocked AT&T Atrix and I'm trying to use a Three UK sim (I'm in the UK). I'm a bit new to the world of android, can someone post a link to an appropriate Radio Rom?
Thanks for any help!!
OK after a little more web searching I've found a (sort of) solution -
"Here's a quick fix for it thou, (not permanent)....
1. type *#*#4636#*#* on the dialer
2. Chose Phone Information
3. Set preferred network to GSM only
Viola...its fixed
problem with this fix is that you wont be able to use your 3G network but the dialer should be working."
Problem is of course that you can't use your 3G connection. Hope this helps anyone else with the same issue.

Why is it always 3 that cause a problem?
When the Nokia N900 came out, that wouldn't work with 3 initially until a couple of updates later!

May not work for Pay as you go? I didn't think that it had 2G fall back?
Hi,
I bought a Lenovo A390 in January, a few weeks ago the phone started to lose signal on both sim cards, continued that way for a few minutes and returned to normal. After a few hours he lost the signal on both sim cards and didn't returned to normal, even after several hours. When I restarted the phone, it showed no sim card and the sound started to fail a little. Somehow, the cell returned to normal after several reboots.
I tried the factory reset, flashing a new rom, I even open the phone to see if any cable was loose, but the problem continues. I don't know what else to do, searching the internet I saw that several people had similar problems, but the solutions didn't work for me.
I took some screenshots to show the device when it loses signal and after rebooting.
Lenovo A390
Android 4.0.4
Baseband Version A510_MP_PCB_V1.0
Build Number A390_S320_130402
Please! Someone help me! :crying:
Same Problem
I am also facing a similar problem and in addition to that if I reboot with SIMs removed still it shows the old SIMs which were there before the problem happened.
Sometimes this workaround works and if the SIMs are not detected when removed, Next reboot with the SIMs and you can get the network (not all the time). ..
no imei no baseband

i have similar problem,, lenovo a390... no baseband affected invalid imei,, n cant write properly...
I'm facing issues in making or receiving calls however sms incoming as well as outgoing and internet works fine. When i put the sim into different phone it works hence no issues with SIM card but even if I use different sim card, the problem remains same. I have also tried multiple ROMs as my OPx is rooted but no luck.
Tried the all of the following but didn't work:
1). restarting, removing sim and again putting it back and restart
2). switching 4G to 3G or 2G (3g 2g not working )
3). factory reset
4). completely wiping phone including repairing file system and normal way of TWRP flashing.
Please suggest if anything else can be tried. Thanks.
Resolved, flashed old boot loader zip, rom and it was working in it.. dont know what clicked.....
I have been facing a weird issue for a while, in my rn3 snapdragon,
when i try to call to some of the numbers. from my jio network the call never connects, i.e. it ends instantly.
I am able to call other nos. from my jio sim, so i guess volte is working fine, idk.
I think its some firmware related issue, coz facing this in every rom even in MIUI
PS: its not a network or sim related issue, coz i have checked the same sim in other mobile, and i was able to call those nos. perfectly.
Also, i can receive calls from those nos. which i m not able to call
I can't able to find solution anywhere. Please HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Any help/ solution will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Facing this issue for almost 5 months now, and can't able to resolve it, flashed various firmware both by fastboot and recovery, flashed various Rom both stock and custom, also tried miflash & QFiL
Hey guys new problem
After flashing the stock Kitkat ROM I realised that the OTA updater doesn't work, so I googled around some more and found the latest (I think) Lollipop ROM (A7-30HC_S127_151125_ROW) and flashed that with the SP flash tool. Everything works fine except for 1 major issue.
The SIM doesn't work and I can't make or receive calls and messages. The SIM is fine, I tested it on another device and I can make and receive calls without any issues. But on the tab it detects the SIM, data works, but calls and messages do not. On the status bar it shows 3G and the little reception bars. When I check the SIM status in settings it shows the network, but the Signal strength is 0, Service state is Out of service but the Cellular network state is Connected.
Is this a problem with the ROM? Do Lollipop ROMs for this tab have any issues like this? Should I downgrade back to Kitkat or try an older Lollipop ROM (like this one A7-30HC_S126_150824_ROW)
Help would be much appreciated
Edit: I just realised that it's saying Invalid IMEI on the lock screen, and when I type *#06# on the dialer it says Invalid
Have I lost the IMEI now?? Is this going to be a permanent problem?
Okay guys I fixed it with the help of a little googling again! XD
Followed the instructions given by the first result when I searched for invalid IMEI
Thankfully the tab had a sticker with the IMEI pasted on the back, so it was easy enough to type the commands with it.
Restarted and now everything is back to normal
