severe lag issue - Asus ZenWatch 2

I've had this watch for about a year now, and have recently noticed some sever lag. I've tried factory formatting it and running with nothing installed and it still lags. It's to the point where its unusable it stutters even when just swiping away notifications.

tbh it always lagged, it never goes super smooth but that's Googles fault for only allowing to enable one of the 4 available cores on the CPU.
Have you maybe had flashed a custom kernel at one point which got removed with an update? Of course a factory reset won't help either then, only "possible" explanation I could think of now.

[Q] GPU Problem?

Whether rom&kernel I used I always have lag on phone while the graphic chip is being used, for example in YouTube application when the video started it becomes too laggy and when I paused or stopped it becomes normal, and when i opened a game when i turn off the screen the crt animation becomes too laggy, too, and in bencmarkes my 3d points lower than other Evos, what do you think the problem is and how to solve it?
Not a gpu issue. What CPU gov r u using. When I use interactive it just stays at the minimum so it could be that

No, I've tried every kind of governor even the performance governor its the same. And its not the interactive governor which stays minimum, its powersave governor.

Seems as if you've tried many different troubleshooting options and still are experiecing this issue. I haven't seen many reports of it and it does seem very odd.
If this option is possible, I would load 100% stock software back on the device and see how it operates. If it is still really slow, there might simply be something internally wrong with the hardware and I would look into returning/exchanging.
I'm on 100% stock and have been since June '11. I've never seen any lag during the screen off CRT animation. Lag at that point seems awfully odd unless you're in the middle of some type of graphics/cpu intensive program .. even then .. I would have a hard time seeing consistent lag at that point to be legitmate behavior.
Hope that helps!

Thanks for your answer, I've tried stock Europe RUU and its the same and i don't have guarantee to exchange what to do now?
And I remember, I wasn't having these issues before, after trying too much ROM and kernel it happened, I always wipe everything before installing a rom, but do we have a full cleaner, kernel cleaner eg.?

Using the real RUU will restore all stock partitions with the stock images.
I suppose, if you wanted to go the extra mile, boot into the custom recovery and format each partition, then run the RUU, but don't think I've ever heard of people doing that before an RUU so not positive if there would be any adverse side effects.
If you're on the stock RUU and experiecing issues, it would seem hardware related in my opinion as I'm on stock and have rarely seen those issues.
The only other thought which comes to mind is sometimes when people overclock they perhaps allow the device to become "too hot" and I suppose this could cause some minor but permanent damage.
Another thought, I know in my EVO last year, had a bright spot appear on the screen from "over heating" although I never overclocked, it was essentially a design flaw many experienced.
The only other suggestions I can think of would be to back to stock, knowing you've cleared all custom software off and perhaps load a basic kernel which supports voltage/speed adjustments and see if tweaking any of those help with the graphics lag.
Good luck!

Thank you again I've started to think of a hardware problem cause I used overclock kernels such as unity v2 and leedroid kernel and i oc'd to max and used and I think these kernels oc'd gpu, too, but I never oc'd gpu and the problem is always the same and I'll try to format every partition as you said cause whether I wiped It's not getting completely formatted and from last format some of my bookmarks was left?

Great point, I actually had forgot about the sdcard. Some bookmarks are stored on the sdcard!
I wouldn't think any important settings are stored on the sdcard, but if you wanted to be even more thorough, you could backup all your sdcard contents to your desktop and format your sdcard.
That should ensure no settings remain after running the RUU.
So many details to remember! Hope that helps!

Ooohh yeah I took a point! I've tried other browsers, and now I'm using dolphin, and while I'm using maxthon browser I played 1080p video and I've turned off and on screen without any lag! But if I use YouTube application, or play video from the phone with its own player or es video player it lags, and in games lag has gone too, its getting interesting every time
Aha I've got one more point too! I used MX player and when in hardware mod the lag happens, but if i choose software mod, the lag goes away!

[Q] Underclocking messes up touchscreen behavior

(summarized below in tl;dr version)
Since my problem I need help with showed up after going back to stock + root, I thought I'd ask in general before filling up the ROM discussion in development about the problem that I found after updating to ICS (leaked).
Had an odd problem crop up on me with scrosler's CleanROM 2.2 SP1 running (will 'splain in a sec, and tl;dr sum-up at the end), so I relocked, flashed back to pre-OTA official firmware and then let the OTA run. All was good, and I was happy. I unlocked again, installed Amon Ra, reinstalled SU, and started putting in my happy-fun root required tools (Oh Titanium, I likes you so). Then, my problem reappeared.
So my problem is occasionally the touchscreen would act "wacky" at times. Specifically, while in my browser, sometimes when I tried to scroll while browsing, the display would act like I was using pinch-zoom. It acted like I was touching the top left corner of the display in portrait mode, and zoom-in/-out according to how I was moving my touch that I intended to scroll. Then I noticed that games which required multi-touch had significant problems reading constant touch on most of the top-half of the display (left half in landscape mode with the carrier name on the left). I like Age of Zombies, and while the game would start off running right, within 20-60 seconds, the movement virtual controller would rapidly turn on and off, leaving me able to fire but not move. Grand Theft Auto was unplayable, as every time I touched a direction key in driving mode, the system would lose track of my holding the gas.
Troubleshooting took a while, as I had installed a lot of apps, and made a few changes at once after everything appeared to run properly. Ultimately, the problem appears to be caused by underclocking, and I can't figure out how to kill that and lock myself at stock speed. Haven't tried an overclocking capable kernel to see if they run any better, and haven't tried checking voltages to see if bumping them on underclocks would fix it.
I have used Antutu CPU master, an old version of SetCPU, and System Tuner Pro (from 3c). I can set the min and max CPU to 1.52, and it seems to stay for a while, but eventually, the setting reverts to allowing underclocking and my touchscreen gets goofy.
tl;dr: My system, even after restoring to RUU/OTA, wants to underclock. When the CPU runs under stock speed, my touch-screen misbehaves, particularly in gaming, but also in browsing. Any help?
Thanks
Can almost definitely confirm it's just bad hardware at this point.
After running 2 days without problem other than the touch-screen issue noted above, the phone entered an persistent bootloop after I loaded Juice Defender today. Phone would reboot, come up to home screen, get a data connection, tell me how many new email and texts I had, then tell me an app (same every reboot) was not responding and reboot 2-3 seconds after I cleared the error. Even when I managed to get to market before a reboot and uninstall the last 2 apps I'd installed, the phone is still in a boot loop.
Appreciate all that took the time to read, and wanted to share that there's a pretty good reason no one could respond with a solution.
Well, it probably is bad hardware but two cardinal rules I have when working on any Rezound is NEVER restore with Titanium BU & don't use Juice Defender (and I have a paid version of it).
I have had both mess up certain phones & I do this stuff all day at work.
I only noticed the underclocking issue with the ICS roms. But, I believe it is due to the Kernels not supporting under/overclocking and scaling options yet.

I've had the same issue for a while now and nobody answered Me either. After a little research it seems we have bad digitizers. I say this because that was happening to me on gingerbread and I upgraded to ice in part to fix it.

Okay so I have a similar problem.
I have hephappy cm9 prefinal installed just started having problems with rom. screen was acting funny so I turned on the touch point developer tool supplied with the rom. I have found that I have multiple touch points when scrolling with one finger.
So I used a apk called touch recalibrate that I got when I was on mik's cm7.
Which I have recalibrated aprox 7 times with no improvements so I set my cpu to min 600 max 600 smartassv2 this did not help either. If anyone has the answer to this problem please let me know.

[Q] SIII stutters & freezes randomly even after fully fresh wipe & install

Hey guys,
Currently I am using CM11 M9 snapshot, boeffla kernel, no OC/UV. But the problem occured even back on CM 10.2 Jelly Bean.
The phone randomly freezes when there is a lot going on (updates for example), also it becomes laggy after a while and needs a few minutes of quiet time. Even after a full wipe and only ROM install (no apps, no custom kernel) I sometimes ran into it freezing for a few seconds like it's working hard and then coming back. It seems to register touch commands and executes them "when it's back".
By now I have over 120 apps installed that I use from time to time. I thought having a big amount of apps does not matter since they're not running at the same time and even then the android memory management does a good job?
I am really confused, maybe I have broken hardware? Is there any way to test my hardware stability/quality? Could the CPU have degraded? Or the internal storage? What else can I do to my phone to "clean it up"? I thought a factory reset or FULL WIPE, clean install and trimming the storage is all I can do? I uninstalled the facebook app which seemed to help a little bit but I am still confused.
Would this help at all I wonder, but it's only for jelly bean.
I know there are multiple threads out on this but they all recommend "factory reset & clean install" which is what I did...
I really hope I did not make thread x-thousand on this case but I did not find anything related to "phone slow after factory reset".
Thanks in advance guys.:highfive:

Propably thats M9 problem. Seems like every snapshot is getting worst and worst.
I added some information to the first post.
The problem occured even back on CM 10.2. It just started getting worse and worse over time. It was the reason I wiped and flashed CM11 M9. I do not feel a difference between the two.
But seriously, that freaking facebook app gone helps a lot.
Still, is there any way to test my hardware stability/quality? Could the CPU have degraded? Or the internal storage?

I dont think your hardware is degrading, try to to do a comlete wipe even the internal storage...anyway i didnt notice a big difference too. My s3 was slowed down since M8 and now M9 with this problems. Just switched to those s5 roms

Internal storage wipe -> format SD card?
Hmm, switching from CFQ from ROW scheduler really bumped up the performance.
I start to suspect that that dredded facebook app and the CFQ scheduler screwed my device. I will test some big apps/games now.
EDIT: Aaaand it's running pretty good. Mhh, I will continue monitoring.

random reboots on bl locked n rooted .167

im rooted n upgraded from 128 fw. I gets random reboots. Any fix this issue?
When does the reboots happen? When you do something specific, like playing heavy 3D games? Maybe overheating causes phone to restart. Have you checked temps of CPU?

totaly random
Is that the latest firmware available for your model?
I've experience random reboots as well after I flashed the pre-rooted TWRP with .167 system and kernel. I've also noticed that the phone reboots frequently when downloading apps in Google Play.
i had rr yesterday (always when phone goes to deepsleep) and solved with a factory reset, then installed one by one mods checking there are no reboots
Doing a clean install/flash, wiping dalvik cache, and bumping max cpu clock speed to 1.459 GHz and min to 400 GHz seem to fix the random reboots on my .167. I haven't had a rr for a week now.
Edit:
I was a doing a little more browsing and I think I found the solution over in the general forums. It sounds quite promising and seems like it's stood the test of time (which is 4 days that's been recorded) I'm in the middle of trying this method and I'll get back to you guys in a few days if it actually works.
Find the method here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/m4-aqua/general/guide-fixing-random-gplay-app-install-t3338362
Good luck
Original Post:
I've even had problems with random reboots on the stock 26.1.A.1.112 Commercial & Journalist version with nothing but being rooted. So i don't think it has to do with programs.
In my honest opinion the problem seems more to do with the stock roms having a problem with root on a bootloader locked m4 aqua.
The only thing that I know can almost certainly cause a reboot is updating apps on the play store. I'll usually have at least 1 reboot during that.
I've been fortunate enough this time around only receiving a reboot about once per day which is manageable for me but it's still an underlying issue.
Any new insights into this would be great. Maybe we can collaborate.
Likewise. Although i can sometimes get about 2 days without rebooting. But i do notice that the reboots are usually when updating apps,(though not always) or randomly when battery is fully or almost fully charged.
Currently on 3.111 rooted, xposed installed.

How do you bump the cpu clock speed?

L24 + CM13 hangs and crashes. Advice?

So here is my current problem: My phone will drastically slow down when trying to multitask. I.e. I basically cant do anything when Pandora is running or ill start to get stops and skips (not connection related), and occasionally, depending on the app, the phone with freeze for an extended period, things disappear from the screen, then it goes blank and back to lock screen asking for pattern rather than fingerprint for "added security." (this is what I'm calling a crash)
Many apps will also start to lag and crash after periods of time, even running on their own. Like tumblr, meetme and facebook.
I have my CPU usage up, and idle is around 7 across the board. Once it starts to creep up above 12-15 is when ill start to get the lagging, lock ups and freezes occur around 20-30, and I've seen it spike as high as ~55 before a crash. Thing is, I'm getting lock ups and freezes while the graphical bar (the red, green, blue one) is barely moving past the CPU usage numbers.
Sorry, I'm not too sure what info to provide. This is a new problem for me. My old phone (running a 1.2ghz quad core, LG optimus G) was able to multitask better than this phone. I never had any skips or freezes while running pandora AND one of those other apps on that phone. Is this a corrupted install? Is this Octo core phone just THAT slow?! I'm not super experienced with ADB, but experienced enough to use it if need be. Any help would be appreciated.

I would first try a clean flash/factory reset/cache wipe but is there a reason why you are still using cm13 vs los14? I had no issues with cm13 but los14 is much better anyways.

Yeah I would backup and then try a clean flash/factory reset if you want to stay on cm13, other than that, I don't know anything general you could do as far as staying on marshmallow goes.
Los14 and Los14 based roms are much smoother however and most of the bugs have been worked out by now. If you're not set on staying with marshmallow, try out some of the nougat roms :good:
Obv you'll want to backup, wipe, flash a rom, flash gapps, wipe cache/dalvik, and reboot but you prob know the drill already haha. You are on twrp or cm recovery?

Nah, I'm not stuck with MM. I like to stay with the best available, so yeah, I'll definitely go with Los14. Thanks for the input! As long as its smoother and allows me to actually multitask, I'm sold. I tend to use TWRP, but that's probably just because its what I'm used to. The interface is nice. And you can update OTA.
