Hey everyone,
I maybe have to buy a new phone, because my Nexus S died, and I didn't get a reaction from Samsung yet. I'm about sure that my next phone will be a Xperia S, but I'm not sure about battery life, so please post your battery life screenshots here!
Please also give information about your rom, kernel, etc..

Are u on weeds or something?
Battery life is great with the latest stock update, I'm a heavy user and I manage to make it for a day or so. Go for it.
Sent from my Xperia S using XDA app.
battery is good even with data, IF you dont use the screen.
On screen time with stock is 5-7 hours. And if you play game continuously, about 4 hours
~5 hours + on screen and about 1.5 days of battery if you only use it for text and call. I'd tap that

After playing continuously for 2hr, my batter drop from 80 to 40. Hence, I don believe it's only 3hr. Somemore I gets this time when playing plant war with 3g on

Yes Screen on time max is about 3-4 hours. Same as my VAIO
Folks... I came here for the same issue.... I love this phone, I had an HTC Desire Z before, I am a heavy user and flasher...
But I hardly get 6-7 hours from my Xperia S. Today, I was at work, I kept checking FB, RSS, twitter every 2-3 hours for 10-15 minutes. Other times it is on standby, screen off and not used.
I have Viber running, weather widget, background syncing, emails checked every hour or two but no FB autosync and **** like that.
After 5-7 hours I am down at 20+% and hardly used it. Is this like that??????
Right after unboxing, I did the OTA ICS update. Should I do a clean FlashTool flash instead?
Help folx.....

I agree. Sony gave my carrier (Vodafone Au) an outdated version of the ICS update. Vodafone then took forever to approve it. My ICS update has the wakelock issue and battery life has noticeably diminished. The launcher crashes now and then. It's still laggy to move from home screens. I mean how hard is it to make a decent ICS update given how late it was rolled out. And I find it's funny that in the ICS update thread A LOT OF users claimed that the early versions of ICS were buggy, and yet now when others complain about them they're branded trolls. Grow up for f's sake. If you dont have anything nice to say or help people just dont say it and keep being a fan boy.

For a sound you may use some mods like steps increase or even Viper.
The booting time is normal, it will always be greater than on kitkat. Bad battery is lollipops fault, so it also won't be as good as in older android versions.

Luckily not from an iPhone = Yesterdays technology at tomorrows prices
Can you please tell me how do install the sound mod
I would really appreciate it

This is for old firmware. Wouldn't be so sure if it is safe (reliable) to use.
Hi guys,
I've been using the existenz until I recently did a clean flash of this rom here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z2/general/sony-z2-d6503-prerooted-customized-au-t3432625
The same problem from existenz carried over to this rom where the battery usage is showing times from the past 48 hours and since usages get reset when battery hits 100% I'm only seeing a small section of my usage on the right side of the meter. Here's screen shot to show what's going on.
http://imgur.com/a/f5NE9
can some one tell me how to fix this or know what's going on?
Thanks

Uuh.. looks exiting
No developing of B190 based custom roms; slower development of B380 roms.....
I have used all available custom rom on my first H7. But now, i have been returned to stock rom B190!
At my opinion it is the best solution for my usage! No notification problems and less battery consumption.
Found no reason for me to use MM on this phone much longer. To use B190 isn't so bad as you think.

I don't think he meant that he is developing a B190 based ROM.

Right now im fighting with b380, if it goes good, and i really Dont know if it goes its My very very first time ever modding anything like this, i Will give b190 a shot
for me reasons to go back to B190:
* at my experiences, b380 deep sleep is a little bit to deep and some of my apps stop working after a while
* i have more battery drain with MM
* my cpu often was to hot
* some of my apps did not work as expected
* missed the step counter
* some missed notifications

Totally agree, I think lollipop is better than any marshmallow rom (specially regarding the battery). The only thing keeping me on marshmallow is kangvip settings.
It would be great to have them on lollipop rom.

Nop, I'm rooted now but a couple of days ago I was and still no problem
Rooted B380 for some weeks and all is better than any other ROM except some missing features of EMUI 3 that probably will return in EMUI 5.
