Click to collapse
The icons in menu cant be deleted. However, most alt launchers will let you hide icons in the menu.

Aha, what is with apps/games what i downloaded can I move them?
Your app drawer contains all apps on your phone, usually in alphabetical order... some launchers allow you to hide apps, some allow your to create folders within the drawer to group them, some allow you to re-order the drawer..
Personally, I prefer to leave all the apps in the drawers and create shortcuts to them (by dragging and dropping as you mentioned) onto the desktop and categorising the pages.. ie, I have a page of favourite games, a page of tools/ utilities, a page of media related stuff!, and a central home page with a clock and meridian music widget on it.. and finally, and page with a full page calendar widget on it.
As i hide the medias of portfolios as of GPS and other pastes, the gallery and the player of music of the grt 10.1 ? I have the program to hide .nomedia and even creating the file in Windows and gluing in the files is the same.
Hey, I have alot of books, videos, music, and other files on my microsd card. Does anyone know of a method to add shortcuts on the homescreen to these folders? Preferably within the stock file manager. Icons are also prefered over widgets, but widgets will suffice.
I figured ADW EX would allow for something this basic but unfortunately it doesn't.
ES File Explorer will let you do it.
Just long press on folder and select "Shortcut".

Is it possible to change the folders size in Nova Launcher? When i create folder it is created with bigger size then the app icons and it looks ugly. I played with the settings but i couldn't find option for changing folders size.
Also, is it possible to change the folder grid from 2x2 to 3x3 and get the same functionality as the folders in iOS?
You can just choose the None option for the folder background so it won't have it icon. It'll just appear as floating app icons but will still have a background when you open the folder. There isn't an option to change the grid size though.
Is there a app that can create folders in the same way they are created in iOS and work on Nova Launcher? One Launcher can do this but i like to use Nova Launcher.
This might work https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.abcOrganizer.lite
I already have tried this app but it doesn't do what i want. As basic functionality it cover the iOS folders, but in details, and i like details, it doesn't come close to the iOS folders functionality. Like adding apps with drag and drop, open the folder and swiping the apps pages inside it, the look and feel are not as the iOS at all.
So everybody says that it's impossibile to add folders to the shelf, but it is not true any longer on condition you have a touch enabled chromebook with the google play store enabled.
Just download Jina Drawer and you'll be able to create Jina folders. Then create as many folders as you like and follow the instructions to add the folders to the home screen... Then you'll find the folders inside the chromebook launcher: just long press on them and add to the shelf. Choose transparent theme and close folder once an app has started.
With this first step you can add any android app to the shelf.
Regarding chrome apps, apart from the file manager and chrome remote desktop and few others (which cannot be added to the folders), they are basically links to urls, so you can donwload More shortcuts, which will let you create shortcuts inside any Jina folder. You'll just have to manually add the icons.
Here's how it looks

Edit: for the remote desktop, you can alternatively use the beta link https://remotedesktop.google.com/access
Black background window, vice floating folder.
I shared a video to show the problem I'm having.
