Are there any soft touch cases like the official alcantara but one that isn't freaking huge

So I'm trying to find a nice looking case for my TP2, and as we all know, there are very few at this point. But the iPhone is very similar in size, just a but thinner. 'seems that everyone is making cases for these.
Anybody ever thought about trying an iPhone case just to see how the fit is?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=514158&page=9 scroll halfway down and poster Deiota got one from e-bay and seems to be happy with it.
I have not seen an iPhone case (other than a pouch) that would work for the Touch Pro 2. The iPhone is much thinner and the cases for it would not allow the keyboard to slide out on the Touch Pro2. I have tried the gel cover and the body glove case but ended up sticking with the pouch that came with the phone because it gives good protection and fits in my pocket. Good luck finding a case that works for you.
My wife has an Ipod Touch case that is a slide in type of vertical holster that works very well with the TP2. It was a little snug at first but it works great after a few tries. She clips it in her purse but it can easily be clipped to the belt and adds little depth. The clip swivels but does not free float. We got it a Walmart for about $15. Don't have the brand name handy.
Okay, I do not envy iPhone users at all, since I love my Fuze, and will soon have my Tilt2 (CAN HARDLY WAIT ), but I do REALLY envy their cases.
It seems like all cases I have found for HTC phones are pretty plain, and all similar design.
Does anyone know of any cases which are "different" like these for the iPhone:http://www.ultra-case.com/products_iphone3g.php
Also, why do iPhone cases seem to all have the screen uncovered (which I really like)? Is the screen sturdier because it's glass?
Thanks!
I bought a cheap gel case off eBay, and I was happy with it for the price. I also bought an official HTC screen protector, which is great. The only problem I have found is that the sides of the gel case have a habit of pressing against the edge of the screen protector. After a while, the screen protector started peeling up along the left and right edges. I tried trimming the protector a little to prevent this, and now I have an awful scruffy looking screen protector that is still peeling up - LOL. Anyone have the same problems as me? I think maybe my case doesn't fit tightly enough, or perhaps it did and now it has stretched?
[UPDATE]: I bought a Capdase case which came with its own screen protector, and together the two items work perfectly. The case is a way better fit that other gel cases I have bought, with no loose parts or slack at all. It also looks slimmer than previous gel cases I have tried. I _highly_ recommend the Capdase case as the way to go if a gel case is what you want for your Hero.
many thanks, m8. care to share the link please?
kudos
Here's a link to the item on the Capdase website:

You might have to work out where you can buy one yourself though Think I got mine off eBay. I've had mine for 9 months or so now, and I still love it. It's wearing very well. Still 100% recommended.
So I've recently purchased an X10 and I really want to take good care of it.
I've had pretty bad luck when it comes to phones breaking. (monthly)
What I want to do is to get a silicon case (or any sort of body case for the phone)
(along with a screen protector of course)
AND ALSO
get a leather pouch to put that in.
Would an X10 in a body case (ex. silicon case or otter commuter)
fit in an X10 leather pouch (ex MobiMan Premium Leather pouch)
Or would i have to get a larger leather pouch?
The reason I want the leather pouch is because I fear the screen will break.
I don't see any way around this unless there is some sort of indestructible hard plastic screen protector that doesn't interfere with the touch functions.
But if there is i'm totally content in just a case with no pouch.
Advice?

The only silicone case that can fit a leather pouch (at least the one that my phone came with) is the Sigema Procase! I bought this one (in purple color though) and it's by far the best case I ever had (and I've had quite too many, I am kind of addicted ) and it is so slim that the phone fits is the leather pouch just fine.
The case is composed of 2 materials: shock-absorbing soft rubber edge and semi-transparent hard plastic back.
The cut-outs are just perfect (much better than any other case I've tried) and will give you no problem accessing all the phone buttons and USB port.
There is also a durability test video on Youtube, though for the iPhone variant of the case.
I uploaded some pictures for you to see and help you make up your mind!
Not to offend and I may be wrong since this is just a visual assessment but that case doesn't look too safe.
I mean i'm sure I can probably find a leather (hard case) for a larger phone and fit it in there.
But.
Are there any hard screen protectors for the x10?
I know my iPod has a very hard plastic screen protector but it's a classic and not a touch so i don't know wether or not it'd interfere with touch functions.
Well
maybe I don't even need a hard plastic screen protector.
Is there any case for the X10 that just fully protects the body and the screen? (not like a pouch that you put it into when you're not using it)

I do think of myself as "overprotective" when it comes to my gadgets, but you seem to have taken overprotectiveness to a whole new level!!
Let me -try to- reassure you a little.
First of all, X10 is supposed to come with a hard shutterproof sheet preapplied!
So, don't remove that and you won't even need a screen protector at all.
As far as the case is concerned, buy one that feels safe to you and then a fairly large pouch to put your armored phone in!
There is no such thing as a case that also covers the screen, as that would render the phone unusable, due to the capacitative technology of the digitiser.
*sent from my X10i
For what its worth, my case is a black tpu case(they re-badge there as i-skins) and a leather case that was about $8 plus shipping both from ebay. The phone with the tpu case fits snug into the leather belt clip. If you warm it and strech it a little it fits perfect and slides in and out with ease. I don't like the cheap screen protector that came with the tpu case and plan on getting a zagg protector.
Both the tpu case and leather were ordered on ebay.
If you want some pictures I can take some later if you pm me.
nice! I like the purple color.... i wonder if it would look alrite if a guy use it...

Why not. I like purple. I'm a UW Husky fan and their colors are purple.

Well some one has to be a fan I suppose.....lol
hey which covers are better the hard or the gel for protecting the phone better ?
I've been using an easily-removable soft gel case since the Aria's launch last year, and my phone has survived numerous drops. Not a crack, dent, or scratch on it.
I use gel cases, so far so good. I've had a hard cover but it kept breaking. If I get a new phone though I want a "defender" type case to keep my clumsy self from breaking it.
Having had a hard case for a long time, I'm using a soft TPU case now and would recommend it over the hard case. Problems with the hard case is that the edges of the screen are difficult to reach, especially the notification bar. With the TPU case, the entire screen is exposed. The soft case does cover the volume and power buttons but they work just fine through the case.
Hey All,
Still waiting on my Find N to be shipped but was wondering for those who have theirs does the inside screen feel rubbery like the Fold2 or more glass like as the Fold 3? Haven’t seen any discussion on whether or not it can be peeled off like the Fold series.
I peeled it, a little bit scared, but it survived
I don't like the plastic screen protectors at all. They get greasy easily and I don't like the feel.
I removed both outer and inner screen protectors.
Very plastic and soft feel. Softer than the Samsung fold and Huawei mate X2. The screen also isn't as responsive to touch as those phones.
Feels like glass to me even with the screen protector on. It doesnt have a soft feel to it like the early Z Fold or the mate XS.
