You wiped everything and now there is no rom installed so its not going past the sony logo. You have two options.
1. Unlock bootloader if you want to run a custom rom.
2. Flash stock rom to go back to stock.

and how to flash stock rom , you need to have the flashtool , put your phone in donwloadmode ( volumne down + plug in the usb cable ) and then flash the stock rom of sony ( you can find the method on how to do it on google ) its simple and then you decide out of 2 options above from last post

Since your bootloader isn't unlocked your can use Sony Companion Software to repair your phone. When you click update there is a repair option. Select repair and hook up the phone in flashmode. Make sure your ZU is atleast 50% charged.

thanks for replying everyone i tried the flashtool stock rom installation and i got boot loop now i tried two different ftf files but they both result in boot loop what am i doing wrong?

can you flash the stock rom again and copy paste the log here in a code quote like this one:
Code:
write here
And what is your model? C6833 etc..
What stock rom did you download?
Which drivers did you use?
And which version of flashtool did you use?
And lastly what settings did you use when flashing the stock rom? All options included so ALL partitions being flashed. And none excluded.
Screenshots is always good help .

(Q) Bricked Sony LLW!

Hello. I need help. Im on stock GB 4.0.2.a.0.62, stock kernel and rooted. I installed cwm using the playstore cwm(xpack?). It says the cwm is not permanent though.
I was trying to install the "HASA GB v6 beta all" using the cwm(i total wipe first), but forgot to flash the kernel first(rage kernel?), and now it wont boot.
I cant enter the cwm i guess because the cwm is not permanent.
I tried flashing official firmware back using flashtool but hang at "Reading device information"
I tried flashing the unbrickingxperia2011 ftf and flashing the firmware again but it still hang at the reading device.
Btw, my device can enter flashmode(green led) n fastboot(blue led).
Help please! Thanks a lot

Is your bootloader unlocked? If yes, just flash the kernel in fastboot mode and then you should be able to boot in cwm
You don't need to install cwm using xparts, all kernels have cwm included, so just flash a kernel you like and you have cwm :good:

No, you need to do try it again like that:
1. Go to flashtool installation folder -> drivers: install all drivers for all devices/modes
2. Launch flashtool
3. Click the flash -> flashmode
4. Select the .ftf, don't exclude anything, but tick "no final verification"
5. When the poup appears, take your phone, and take out the battery
6. After 10 seconds, reinsert the battery and hold volume down. While holding volume down connect the phone to your pc
7. Now the flashing should start and we can hope it'll work!
8. Boot up the phone, root it, install cwm, restore the backup!
On a locked bootloader, you can't flash a kernel. You need to choose a rom for locked bootloader and follow all instructions like given there :good:

First of all you don't need to try PC Companion as it won't work on an unlocked bootloader!
Have you tried flashing another kernel in fastboot mode?

Sure I will try it in the evening.
You can definitely Unlock it using the HTCDEV process , I have a done this. Any ways if you are able to flash a ROM then there is no reason to get it Unlocked, more over S-OFF gives you full control over the device but again it also increases the risk of getting your phone bricked so make sure you use it wisely (knowing what you flash) , so I will say why to beg HTC for some thing they have already provided.
One more thing S-OFF device means you dont need to flash boot.img separately so you dont need to use your PC to flash roms no more.
Waiting to know about your progress on flashing the ROM ..

Then I installed flashify and flashed boot.img that came with the Rom. Then the Rom is working now.

so you mean to say you failed to install the boot.img from the custom recovery ? well that is weird, one more thing since you were in boot loop how did you manage to install flashiffy !
if you may please include the complete flashing steps , will be helpful for my experiments.

Initially I flashed the Rom alone and it went into bootloop and all buttons became unresponsive .so I waited till the battery ran out and the phone switched off. Then I recharged , entered recovery by vol down + power button.. I had the backup there . So I restored back up.. then phone rebooted normally.. and I flashed boot.img by flashify just because I didn't know any other method... Then from recovery I wiped dalvik cache and system .. flashed the new Rom.. reeboot and fine..
Feel free to ask for any more clarification..

what's happening with my phone?... please help me..

hi everyone, i had try to install cyanogenmod 11 by percyg2 but i cant flash it.. it says status error 7.
also i flashed the kernel but when i choose boot with that kernel using fastboot it says that my device must be rooted.. (
BTW. i'm rooted and unlocked bootloader but i dont know why sony pc companion recognize my device as lt22 (xperia)
P.S. i had cyanogenmod by percyg2 time ago, but i dont know what's happening with my device
Is your phone lt22? If it isn't, then I don't know
If it's lt22, the start pc companion select support zone, and repair my phone or somthing similar, this will restore your phone like it just came from factory

my bootloader is unblocked, but i think there is a kind of error in the phone.. i had unblock my bootloader and install cyanogenmod last year around on december when cyanogenmod 11 by percyg2 just arrive (i think) so i unblock my bootloader and install cm11 but it has many bugs that was a nightly yet so i decided to back to stock until it become stable.. now is almost stable ( i think) so i decided to download it again and try to install it but i cant, i just dont know why.. so i check with sony pc companion and it says i have xperia p but before it don recognized it.. so? then i decided to unblock the bootloader again first by flashtool then by cmd command fastboot both said the same the bootloader is unlocked; so i rooted again and install CWM recovery but when i try to install it goes to error status 7.. then i check again with sony pc companion and says i have an xperia p lt22 but i dont get it.. why is happening this? :crying:

just fastboot the boot.img that was in the CM11 ROM
enter recovery then factory reset, install ROM and g-apps

When flashing gapps, it can say status7, don't matter, it says but flashes the gapps.

[Q] Root Xperia with Lollipop?

Things needed:
PC, fastboot driver, know how to boot to bootloader(fastboot mode) and recovery mode
Now you can without having old kernel (not firmware)
go to http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z2/development/kernel-andropluskernel-v10-t2974841 extract boot.img from the zip file.
Boot your phone to fastboot mode and in command:
Code:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
Go to recovery mode after restarting and then get UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46.zip and flash it via newly installed TWRP recovery.

Same here. I'm a noob wanting to learn how to root. But this went over my head :/
Would using PRF creator work? If you bundled the lollipop firmware with supersu.zip and flashed it would it give you lolipop with root? Because this is what i did to update to 4.4.4 with root. For anyone that doesnt know PRF creator is a program which combines 3 files which is are firmware of your choice, a superSU.zip and a recovery.zip. It combines them into a .zip that you can flash in recovery and have the firmware with superSU and a custom recovery on it.
I have a locked bootloader and mines rooted, do you want me to say how?
If its on lollipop, i would very much like to know how.
Isn't this the exact same answer as rooting 4.4.4?
Downgrade to 4.4.2
Root
Install recovery
Install rooted lollipop zip in recovery
If you don't understand this or the method posted above don't root. Also, if.you can't google things like fastboot to understand what it is don't root.

I'm no Android/Lollipop/Rooting expert but using an unlocked boot loader I was able to root Lollipop (23.1.A.0.690 ) easily using the kernel from:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xpe...ot-stock-flashable-kernel-23-1-0-690-t3061816
My steps were:
1. Install Lollipop
2. fastboot flash boot boot.img (to install above mentioned kernel with TWRP recovery)
So far so good.
PS: To use fastboot you'll likely need the drivers from flashtool (http://www.flashtool.net/index.php) and if on Win 8.1 you'll need to search for instructions on how to install unsigned drivers.

Hi, I'm kind of a noob, so sorry if this is a dumb question.
I just installed the new Lollipop Fimware on my Z2, using Flashtool. Now I want to root the device, but reading through articles on XDA or XperiaBlog, they all said you need to use older firmware. So my question is, can you root the Z2 with Lollipop?
I'd be grateful for helpful answers.

If you're not on mobile, you can check out my signature to disable signed driver enforcement for windows 8 and 8.1. It sticks after reboots too.

Hi,
FIRST: you need to downgrade your phone
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2759934
Flash it using FLASHTOOL
SECOND: Root your phone
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2783750
THIRD: Install Recovery for flashing zip ROMs
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2785598
FOURTH: Use this to flash Lollipop
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z2/development/stock-d6503-23-1-0-690-bal-rooted-t3057150
Just make sure you follow all the steps and you're good.

Is there root only for Baltic ROM? I am on Nordic and I want root is that possible?

Bootloop at startup logo due to XZrecovery getting trashed

Long story - Tried to apply the latest Marshmallow rooted package for D6503 on my 6502 that was already rooted with XZ dual recovery. It installed successfully, was rooted too...but I forgot to add the patch that would fix the radio not working. So I try to reboot to recovery...and that doesn't work anymore. I tried installing TWRP recovery from the manager app, but it wouldn't reboot. Then I ran the XZ recovery installer externally, and now my phone is ****ed. Stuck at an infinite boot loop.
At this stage the only thing I can access is flashtool and fastboot, and since my bootloader is locked I can't flash a recovery that way (nor do I want to permanently lose DRM keys/camera quality as I've heard happens with unlocking the bootloader). I have a memory card and I used the option to disable loading the recovery specified on the XZ thread by adding a 'donotload' file on the sd card.
Still no use - I get a Sony logo for about 5 seconds, the screen goes dark and back to the same. At this point probably my recovery is screwed up or non existent and a bad situation has gone worse with the bootloop.
What can I try now?
@KaiserSnorezay
XZDR is still not compatible with MM, that's why you got a bootloop...
Also you can't install the "regular" TWRP with twrp manager on a LB as there is no recovery partition... it won't work and probably will mess your phone in the process.
The solution is to flash any KK / LP .ftf with flashtool (i would wipe everything when flashing as i have backups of my data/apps) , root it with kingroot or any other method you like, install xzdr for KK/LP and finally reboot to recovery and install the latest MM prerooted rom from niaboc which already has root&recovery (not xzdr btw) included. Since you have D6502 don't forget to install the baseband patch after the rom again
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z2/development/rom-official-6-0-1-23-5-0-486-beta-t3336770
Just did it exactly this way yesterday on my friends d6503 (minus the d6502 patch obviously) had 0 troubles MM, root and recovery working perfectly.
Thanks, will try this today. Is wiping data required or can i get by by just flashing the older one?

I managed to flash and root 17.1.2.A.0.314, but once again I'm unable to get any damn recovery to work. Installed XZDR, after that TWRP, in both cases it refuses to boot into recovery mode. What am I missing?

Weird, after you have your phone rooted it should be simple to install xzdr... just enable usb debugging in the phone and make sure you have the adb drivers correctly installed in your pc.
Download the latest xzdr from nut's thread ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2261606 ) unzip it and run install.bat . After a successful install the phone should reboot to twrp automatically and it's done.
Okay, I fixed it..using Flashfire! No idea why the recovery didn't work earlier, but now finally I'm on Marshmallow. Thanks for the help!

Try what ptmaniac suggested - flash an older FTF that can be rooted (more recent ones can't), root it, install recovery and then flash the newest build.
You'll have to improve your Google-fu to find a suitable firmware and a root technique for it.

with "recovery" will i be able to get back my whole data ?

Sorry, I ditched my Z2 for a Oneplus 3 in August 2016. Learnt my lesson, only going to use phones with easily unlockable bootloaders.
