Hello,
I juste installed the amazing Extended AOSP ROM on Nougat for the Moto E 2015 LTE.
Everything works great except for the internal storage.
Whenever I try to download a file from the browser, take pictures, view my gallery... I can't because the sd card was not found.
Help please. I tried formatting the partition, reinstalling the ROM, but nothing seems to work
Thank you !

Hi,
i have no Problems with stock Rom, but in all 4.3 ROMs especially in PA 3.99 RC2, the Android system doesn't mount the sdcard0.
Does anyone know why?
PS: I am using the JBX Kernel

try to clear cache from your recovery or else reset to factory defaults, this trick worked for my wi-fi issues
hi,
i already tried that
this also happens on every other 4.3 ROM to me with and without jbx kernel
Got The same problem. Gallery and camera wont let me in
Sent from my XT910 using xda app-developers app
I think this is an issue on all 4.3 ROMs, I have the same problem on Carbon 4.3.
thanks for the replies, then all 4.3 ROMs are just unusable
strange that noone complained about that in the DEV forums

This is not true.. Every 4.3 rom i have flashed has had storage1/storage0. My micro sd card is where i keep my mp3 music i listen to via player pro. Sd is where my custom ringtones i created are stored along with pics, etc. Works great. Listen, sometimes going back to the beginning and starting over with stock firmware flash is needed as these memory slots can get corrupted. I use titanium back up for any/all apps/data with out these issues. Or simply go back to stock and copy what u dont want to lose to your micro sd (root explorer) is great or simply plug phone into computer and create a new folder on desk top for your keeps. After copy, format sd storage (pull micro sd card first) or simply copy nothing to micro sd only to computer and format both sd/micro sd. (Recomend) Would for sure do factory reset, if using ss uninstall and start fresh. This is not a guaranteed solution, only a suggestion.. Seems to have worked just fine for me more than once.. And others with similar issue.

I have the same problem - only 1.28 GB of internal storage is seen by phone, even though it shows 13+ GB when connected to the PC.
is there anything that may help, (other then formatting everything) ?
I have already wiped cache/dalvic cache and mounted sdcard0 and sdcard1 in the CWM Recovery - didn't make any difference.
Hey guys,
I've tried so many things now, but somehow the internal sdcard is not working on Xperia L with CM11.
Problem:
After clean flashing, when I open the camera app is crashes instantly. Other camera apps say they need an external storage. The gallery says "no external storage"
In the file browser I see a lost+found folder but can't open it or do anything (write/read) even with root access .
I tried pac_taoshan-nightly-20141214, and FXP-cm-11-20150301-UNOFFICIAL-taoshan. (all KitKat based)
I'm using TWRP 2.8.7.0.
Before, I was using the latest official cm12.1 nightly for xperia l. Lollipop was getting a bit heavy my phone so I decided to switch back. When on cm12.1 I had formatted the cache and data partitions to f2fs, sdcard0 was ext4. There no major issues.
Before flashing to Kitkat I wiped everything and formatted everything to ext4.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My external sd card is working fine.
After all this i flashed the original xperial L firmware 4.2.2, and on it everything worked fine. the camera worked, the pictures saved and opened in the album app.
Re-rooting and flashing kitkat brought the problem back.

Any help would be appreciated.
A solution would be better.
Hello,
My Moto E 4G (XT 1524) was on Cyanogenmod 13 yesterday but I decided to test AICP just by curiosity. I flashed the ROM and GAPPS as I do everytime (clean install on squid's TWRP). Once I first boot on the ROM, it works well but the problem is everything is stored on my external sd card. For example : I don't have any content in my /sdcard folder, only a "TWRP" folder, but no "Music", "Movies", "Images", "DCIM" etc.... Actually the "DCIM" and "Android" folder are on the External sd
I keep on reinstalling eveything, even TWRP but nothing repairs my problem...
If you have any suggestions to help me resolve this, it would be great. Thank you !
EDIT: PROBLEM SOLVED by myself. If you have the same issue, just "format data partition" in TWRP. It just solves everything

Dude! i've got exactly that problem. What a hassle. I had all kinds of backups and stand-by Roms etc on my sdcard, not to mention all the apps i migrate. For no reason I understand I will reboot or something and half my apps are missing and the notification says 'No SD card' or 'Unsupported SD...You need to format this card if you want to use it' And I'm all like WTF!!? I must have formattted this card ten time in three days. Im gonna give your solution a try...Thanks for the post . I'll let you know if its was successful for me as well.

The android system takes up huge space on the internal storage. Sometimes upto 8 GB. That's a little problem eith custom roms. There's really nothing you can fo about it. Use a SD card

My Redmi Note 4x have a question with a continuously endless reboot loop after I add an external SD card (Sandisk Extreme Pro/ 32G) into SIM card holder that it be set as internal storage. However, the OS work normally after external SD card is unmounted.
Is there any way to set an external SD card as internal storage?
32G internal storage is not enough for me~~~
Thanks for anyone helping.

Are you on miui? Or on a custom rom? I don't really know if miui has an option to set sd card as internal storage, but i know custom roms have them. Regarding the bootloop, disable the feature from settings so you can end the bootloop

My suggestion is to upgrade to aosp extended v5.1 since v5.0 isnt going to be much updated plus it has bugs. Maybe that's am issue to the rom. Just boot in the phone without the sd card, then when the phone is on insert the sd card and format it normally. Then u can just copy the zips and flash them.

You can use titanium backup, but unfortunately that's the only thing :highfive:
More a question,if I only back up all the data, cache etc which are existing in AOSP ROM 5.0 except for system, can all things which are described above restore to AOSP ROM 5.1 after ROM 5.0 be upgraded and backup file be flashed via TWRP ?
In a nutshell, I don't want to lost things which were installed in AOSP ROM 5.0~~

As the above friend said, you can use titanium backup to backup all your apps that you have installed and then restore them after upgrading rom. It's pretty easy and from my experience you might have to configure some apps again, but all will be restored.
