Hi guys, I'm just wondering did anyone else had this problem. My Redmi note 4MTK already killed 3 chargers in a month (NOTE: The phone it self is only a month old. Bought at 3rd of April) And its not bad chargers or anything I used 2x LG G2,3,4 1.8a - 5v chargers and one 1a-5v charger.
I got scared from this fact of it killing chargers at this rate. So i gave it to the service center to get fixed.
But would be nice to know if anyone else having / had this problem and might know how to fix it!

Sounds like a faulty unit that should be replaced or fixed by official means before it does some real damage. I mainly use mine will the charger it comes with, which is always recommended. I have used it with other different chargers but not had any issues.

The redmi note 4 manual states that it uses a 5V 2 Amp charger, also stated on the page http://www.mi.com/in/note4/specs/. If the charger cant give the current needed, it can burn the internal tracks of the charger, burn the internal components of the charger, or in case it can hold then it would drop the output voltage, so there are several cases of why a 1 amp charger can get damaged.

Well i'm pretty sure that phone has a module that recognize the output of the charger and sets the voltage as needed. So it shouldn't just keep any charger at 5v-2a

Yea i already sent it to the service center, It should get back to my hands hopefully in a week or two.
Avoid using those 1amp and cheap charger, they will get hot and cause unwanted problem, also if both the charger and the phone'battery got hot then avoid using that charger.
I have Redmi Note 4X. I use two charger that i trust: Aukey PA-T9 and RAVPower RP-PC017. Never had a problem with these two, as of the original mi charger i just kept it the the box.

The phone didn't come with the original charger, They gave me an replacement one. Which already exploded. And in this situation it doesn't matter original or 3rd party. There are better chargers then Original like Anker's , Tronsmart's etc.
Okay got the phone back, Seems to run more stable in the mean the charger doesn't get as hot as it was before. I'll try updating in the next few days if it does any more problems!

Just FYI I just bought this http://www.ebay.com/itm/190961745241 and it fast charges my G2. It has model number ETA-U90JWE on the unit. Just thought I'd pass that along since I was having so many problems finding the right charger/cord combo that would fast charge.

Thanks! Just bought one as a backup charger
I got two of those a week or so ago myself from eBay (same model charger ETA-U90JWE, different seller, etc.) and can confirm that they QuickCharge. I was a bit worried after reading some reviews on Amazon.com that there are knockoffs of the same model that perform poorly but I guess I got lucky.
Those that have it -- does the USB cable work with the original charger too? and with other 2amp chargers (like my car charger)? I always leave a AC charger in my car just in case, but if it's going to take 5 hours to charge my phone, it becomes pretty pointless unless I'm staying overnight somewhere.
This is okay but remember kids. Slow charging is much better for your battery

Yes, the white cables that came with it do fast charge (tested with both these new Samsung charges and stock LG unit). From 10% to full charge in about 90 minutes.

Charging times with any electronic device are dependent on amperage. Find a charger that is 2amps and you should be set. It will say on the box.

Lies! These aren't ****ty old NiCa batteries. If it doesn't heat bad, which i haven't experienced in fast charge, its perfectly fine. Screw the base brick, I'm just trying to find a single USB 3.0 (needed) supported cable that supports 1800mA. Not one that runs over 800mA and doesn't pop slow charge, but one That fully utilizes all the mA's. Can aubergine post a SS of the mA reading please?

Here is one I ordered from Amazon, it arrived today.
http://www.amazon.com/reVOLT-c2-Dua...=1384487213&sr=8-3&keywords=scosche+revolt+c2
I just tested it: I have a 110v wall plug to cigarette charger socket adapter. Plugged my old cig charger into it, used the white usb cables I described in a previous post in this thread, and got slow charge message. Then I took out that old cig charger and plugged in the new Scosche reVolt c2, used the same cable and got no slow charge message. Watched it for 2 minutes and it went up 2% (so I consider that QuickCharge).
Thanks

Just bought one of these. Thanks smacklayer!!!
Weird. This thing is picky. The usb cable with my 2.0a csr charger charges at around 900mha, but plugged in using the samsung ac adapter it slow charges at 30mha... but once in awhile it goes at 800 to 900
Thanks smacklayer - I bought one just like yours on eBay.
One has to be careful not to get a gray market knock-off, but it's hard to tell exactly. Even on Amazon, there are lots of complaints of chargers that appear to be OEM but aren't.
BTW: how does one tell if their G2 is NOT "fast charging"? Is there some indication?
I have a PowerGen 2A car charger with usb cable that I purchased a year ago for my N7. I plugged my G2 in the other day and I didn't see any visual cues that something was "slow charging" and it appeared to charge just as fast as the LG G2-supplied charger. So, I've been wondering about a "fast" or "slow" charging indicator.
Thanks in advance for your assistance.

They have these available at every Walgreens, I can confirm they work with 2A chargers. I know they are ugly and awkward but if you're in a pinch and need one right away these are easy to find. Usually found around the register area.

i am very pleased with my motorola turbo charger that accompany my nexus 6 and i would like a second one (european edition). Where can i find one? (i have searched everywhere i can!!) Any help is appreciated
I'm not sure about European ones but I would check amazon.co.uk or which ever countries amazon you are in. I have 4 Qualcomm quick charge 2.0 chargers (2 Motorola, 1 incipio and 1 power partners) they all work the same so brand doesn't matter as long as it's quick charge 2.0 certified. I would recommend not buying the Motorola version because its expensive compared to other brand and its rather large in comparison. One of my chargers supports the higher voltage (20v quick charge) but no device so far can take advantage of it just yet. I would just search for quick charge 2.0 and see what pops up unless you are dead set on the Motorola one. Below is a picture of the Motorola vs the Power Partners one.
Couple of weeks ago I've bought Aukey turbo charger on Amazon.de.
Seems to work just fine, but comes without micro usb cable, so make sure to
have proper one (for turbo charging) or buy one.
There seems to be a few new options slowly coming onto amazon.
Anker makes a single port charger for like 20 bucks.
Personally I am waiting for someone like anker to make a multi-port charger that supports QC 2.0 across the 4 to 6 charging ports.
Basically this with upgraded internals.

There should be a plethora of quick charge 2.0 compatible chargers since Qualcomm isn't charging a licensing fee to use the technology. Give it time and there will be more. I know in the US there are 30+ different QC 2.0 chargers on Amazon so the other country specific ones should follow suit.
Can anyone tell me if the Samsung Adaptive Fast charger will work as well as a licensed charger? I only want to know because I like the fact that it is all white and a few Amazon reviews point out that some of the aftermarket versions burned out the charger port or phone. I know that the adaptive charger will be faster than others, but will it be as fast as the stock Moto charger?

Its a QC 2.0 charger assuming your talking about the one that comes with the Note 4. It's even on Qualcomms website if you look for it under quick charge form what I remember. It should work just fine, do you have a link to the Amazon page? Its odd how people claim it burned out their outlets but things happen.

Sure: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/cr/B00QTJZ3D0/ref=mw_dp_cr?qid=1425351571&sr=8-6
3 on that page. I think there was one on aukey that a person had updated but I can't find it now. I specifically remember it because they had rated a 5 and came back to update it.
I've looked everywhere on the quick charge page. I don't see the note 4 charger on there. They always run half off coupons, so it would be cheap when back in stock, plus it's not a knockoff if you but straight from Sammy. It's weird because it maxes at 2 or 5v I think instead of 9v like the others. (My numbers may be off on voltage but Sammy's is lower than Motorola)
If not, maybe Motorola will run an accessories sale sometime this decade.

I have no issues with the other QC 2.0 chargers that I run. I read those reviews and I personally wouldn't trust that company given the number if people with complaints until they fix what's causing the issues. I have 2 Motorola QC's a Power Partners one and finally a Incipio QC car charger. I haven't had any issues with any of them and the Power Partners one is rated at a max of 30W. I haven't seen my Nexus 6 go beyond 9V personally so the 20V and 12V that it offers won't really matter until devices support that. I would go with one that people have tried without issues to play it safe. If you own a Samsung phone they do give half off when you register it on their site if I remember correctly. Its been a while since I've owned any Samsung phone besides my wife's S5 which we got rid of a while ago. I use my car quick charge daily and I haven't had any issues at all. I stopped caring about seeing how much battery I could squeeze out of my phone and instead I bleed it dry so to speak then quick charge it when it drops below 50%. I carry my spare Moto charger in my backpack and it works fine (I got it for free using a $50 gift card to Motos site) otherwise I wouldn't psy $35 for another one.

Voltages go in steps usually 5,9,12,20V for phone chargers but the actual charging voltage may vary. If I I recall correctly it does charge at 9V but only in certain situations.

Guys lemme start of by saying I love the LG V10. Had it for well over a month now, recently like 2 days ago my charger just stopped working? Most chargers I got to plug in and out like 20 times for it to charge my phone, its charges super slow and is getting really annoying... Can anyone help me... Like I dont want to get rid of my phone, but I refuse to have to have a second battery, that I have to charge in a cradle to keep my phone on, I want to be able to just use the charger.
It seems to me its not the cord? more than the phone, I got one cord that works, but it barely charges the phone... HELP PLEASE
edit:
called LG they basically told me to shove it. Said I can send my phone, wait till they recieve it then they will try to fix it if not they will send me a REFURBISHED DEVICE my device is basically brand new perfect condition besides this and a screen burn already? Makes no sense to me I told them they can get back to me and correct whatever issue this is and stand behind there product, not send me someone elses used and abused device when mine is in great shape or they can shove it and I will be switching companies...
Are u using the OEM charger that came with the phone? It uses a higher amperage/voltage to quick charge the battery. A charger that outputs in say, 1.0A will charge it VERY SLOW... Learned that lesson like 2 days ago when I didn't have my charger with me and borrowed someone's cheap Kyocera charger... Omg I thought I would never move up a few %...

Any charger will work fine, however the phone will charge only as fast as it can.
The Google store has replacement factory chargers. You could also try contacting support and telling them the situation. They may just send you one. Pretty much any charger from a legitimate company will work fine though

Are there any magnetic chargers that will support dash charging? I want to keep from damaging the USB-C port for as long as possible.

I have a magnetic charger and when used with the OEM charger, the cable heats up to the point of almost burning my fingers.

You can use the magnetic charger with a quick charge charger or any other charger and it will be fine.
I'm using a Samsung Fast Charger and have no issues, the device still charges full overnight and it's pretty quick, just not as quick as the OEM set up.
Ok I still have a quick charger from my Nexus 6, but don't know how it has scaled throughout the years in terms of what's considered "quick".
I used more then one year magnetic cable from Wsken on OP 5T. It has only charge, no data. And I have no issue, heating, damages. But in this case I don't have a supercharge. I have charge current about 1.3- 1.4 ampers.

If you use just the cable and not the OEM block it doesn't cause heating issues, I get heating issues if I use the OEM block with the wsken cable. It happens periodically so not sure what causes it.
If you use the Wsken mini2 +j OnePlus cable + wsken adapter dash charge will work. So will data transmission.
I'm using the PZOZ ones I got off AliExpress, link. I have them from my LG V20 days, and no issues with it - using the same cables across my mouse, portable battery, ipad, and phone.
They have an upgraded version here, but I have not needed them yet as the current ones charges my 6T as quick as it should.

well, i don't have any exact specs or accurate data, all the specs i have are as per the weblink. the new version supports up to 5A. for me, the older version which i have supports up to 2.1A i think but works well for me. no fires or any hazards so far.
I don't think there is a dash charge wireless. All wireless chargers are slow, for now..
