Hello ppl,
I have unlocked the bootloader of my RN3 snapdragon version officially and i flashed the offical twrp on my phone.
Then i did a complete backup of the rom and then installed CM 14.1 (Santosh's build)
When i installed the rom,it relocked the bootloader and the fastboot mode now shows cyanogen logo instead of the mi logo.
The TWRP is working fine and i tried out both CM13 as well as 14.1.
i was on the miui 8(5.1) build and i tried to restore the EFS file to enable VOLTE on CM14.1 but no VOLTE is working as it was V5.1
I now have to revert back to MIUI8(6.0).How do i proceed?.
*I will flash the global MIUI8 developer rom using the TWRP?
*Restore the backup that i had done earlier with with official TWRP?
*Boot into eld mode(Cyanogen fastboot mode) and then use MiFlash and flash global developer MIUI version.
Please Help me with this.Need to get the VOLTE working fast and get back to MIUI.
First of all let me tell you that volte is broken and fluctuating in miui8 MM builds. Even though there are fixes but then you have to compromise fp scanner. So in my opinion flash xiaomi.eu rom 6.8.11 based on 5.1.1. But as per experience I have seen volte working in santhosh build. Just dont flash any firmware. And to revert back to miui8 LP just wipe partitions and remeber dat official MM roms are encrypted. Dont go there. Happy flash.

Ill download the developer rom from the miui website and flash it using twrp?
or
ill flash using the fastboot mode in edl?
My device has locked bootloader now.with the CM bootloader..Not with the MIUI bootloader.

Didnt you unlock bootloader? If not then unlock it using mi flash tool, and check out roms from xiaomi.eu site not from miui.com, official site produce ****ty roms. They mess up data partition with encryption. Check out 6.8.11 based on 5.1 where VoLte works fine.

I had unlocked the bootloader... I then flashed cm 14.1 which relocked the bootloader and took me to cyanogen bootloader...
Please tell me should I download the ROM from xiaomi.eu and flash it using twrp??
Or I'll flash the fastboot file from mi.com/ and flash it using mi flash???

download any rom from the given link of xiaomi.eu, and flash it, use zcx twrp, its best atm, dont flash any gapps.

I have locked bootloader.Is it fine if i just flash the zip file using twrp
MiUnlock is not detecting the phone to unlock the bootloader.
Sorry for too many questions.Litte bit new to RN3 .It was easy to flash and do stuff with my old OnePlus One.
::And ill download the stable or weekly
I think you might lose IMEI/EFS if you downgrade from CM 14.1 to lolipop MIUI? Someone more knowledgeable can confirm.

download weekly, miunlock is not detecting? Hmm then may be it is due to windows drivers. If you are using x64 bit OS then you should tweak driver signature enforcement in windows. which twrp u are using? Use a twrp where you can backup efs, modem and other important partitions. alka, zcx are best twrps.

I'm using the official twrp....is it OK to flash the ROM with cm bootloader?
Mi unlock is detecting sorry....but it's stopping at 50% ... I had unlocked previously using the same method...it worked fine....but now it isnt

Oh... I have the efs backup from the stable MIUI which was provided from the box

If i were you i would first use miflash to flash miui rom, then unlock then flash twrp, and then flash other rom.

Yea...even I'm thinking the same...but flashing the 5.1 rom using mi flash does it affect my imei or anything? ...
If not can u please help me with the link to the global fastboot file for snapdragon version ...
I have the backup of the previous MIUI rom taken from official twrp...

flashing with miflash is like magic wand.. hoping that u know the procedure here is the link. choose redmi note 3 SD fastboot version

One last question.
Ill download the fastboot file from here: http://en.miui.com/a-234.html that says(Redmi Note 3 Qualcomm Latest Global Developer Version Fastboot File Download) and flash it with MiFlash?
And in the install instructions,it says if u havent unlocked the bootloader please unlock it.Shall i continue with the locked bootloader itself??

if you use edl then it doesnt matter whether its unlocked or locked. But edl mode needs to wipe everything all data in int storage.
Whats the update? Did it went well? I mean through edl mode using MiFlash.

I also have a question. If I officially unlock my bootloader and some how it gets locked again then can I unlock it again officially?
I flash MIUI 8 mm from cm 14.1 , via two booted but mi account verification error . Not go beyond that . What to do ?
Yesterday I rooted my device and flashed citrus ROM, but sim card is not detected after that.

What MIUI version did you have prior flashing the custom rom?
Did you try flashing the appropriate firmware?

It was 7.1.2. I unlocked bootloader in the unfocial way.
No, I haven't tried flashing any firmware.

Download the firmware for your device (be careful, Kenzo is different from Kate) and flash it via TWRP. You won't need to wipe anything.
Kenzo mirror file is not available.
My phone is Redmi Note 3 SE (Kate), I have a big problem long time, when I open Airplane and close it again, I can connect LTE or H+ or any data signal (I can call anyone and send messenge just can't connect to internet), but if I reboot or fastreboot then I can connect to data signal, who can help me to fix this bug, i try another rom and flash kate firmware but didn't fix it.

AOSP or Miui??
If Miui than download fastboot rom and flash it using mi flash.
If aosp rom, update to latest firmware and try a different rom
But the fastboot rom flashing should fix the issue.
I had this exact bug too. I'm on official LineageOS 14.1 with a kate model.
My bug went away after an update of LineageOS and I think more importantly an update of my firmware that I downloaded from here:

I've firmware version 8.2.1 and LineageOS 20180214-nightly. I flashed the firmware without the emmc_appsboot.mbn file.
I would suggest to flash a new firmware and see if the bug goes away.

I'm using Airtel sim.
Everytime I have to turn airplane mode on and off to get data working.
Does anybody faced this issue,please reply how to solve it?

How did u flash global beta ? Recovery or fastboot?
Go to reset and reset mobile wifi bluetooth. Or reset user settings.
Are u on single sim? Put airtel in sim 1.
Also volte dont work on any provider except jio sim
Here most people use custom rom and are on oreo or pie.

I m using jio.
So ur airtel data Not working on miui? Then Stay near mobile tower . Or Use diffrent sim then.
kenzo is made only for jio. VOLTE will also work only for jio.
Hello i need some help please.. i flashed miui11 custom rom from miui.eu using pitch black recovery.. same as i do with other rom.. wipe data,vendor,system and cache.. but after setup the wifi is not working now..i cant tick the wifi button.. so i tried to revert back to stock rom using miflash tool...downloaded the official fastboot rom in miui site.. but still no avail.. can anybody help me.. sorry for my grammar
I had the same problem, I flashed latest MIUI ROM and still no WiFi. I copied my data to pc and wiped everything (exept SD card) and flashed latest firmware. After that WiFi was working.

What do you mean you copy the data on your pc sir? You mean you made a backup of your rom? Then restore again after flashing the firmware? Im using miui11 sir can i use the firmware on the link?

I mean your data for example photos, music, videos etc. If you are using MIUI 11 that is unstable and is in development i recommend using stable build of MIUI. But this is your phone and do anything with it soo, flash china weekly firmware. If that doesnt help use MIUI 10.
