Please can anyone explain why a video clip recorded with an mpeg-4 ext won't run on my pc running on XP with SP2 installed.
In dragging the file across from the PDA to the desktop a conversion process happens but still non of the media players will run it !
Does it have to be converted to an AVI file and if so please can you explain where i could find such a programme and how it works.

Try this.
MPG4
YOUR MEDIA PLAYER DOESNT PLAY MPG4 FORMAT FILES...
TRY DOWNLOADING THIS FILE AND RUNNING IT ON YOUR DESKTOP, IT WILL ENABLE YOUR MEDIA PLAYER TO PLAY MP4 FILES,,,,
Watching mp4 encoded files on Windows
Try the following player / plugin

I made an .m3u file and tried to open it using original music player on 2.2 (CM6). I get "sorry the player does not support this type of audio file" . Here is copy of my .m3u file:
Code:
music/file1.mp3
music/file2.mp3
I simply use this command to automatically create playlist file on my device:
Code:
find music/ -iname "*.mp3" -print >> playlist.m3u
Has anybody try to open .m3u file on Hero before? what type of playlist file format is supported?
I simply dont want to use any other application to create playlist files. I used to use same way to create and play .m3u on my old WM5 device.
Similar issue here.
I found files that should help to open rmvb file on Leo.
What i've done:
1. I coppied dll's and ax file to windows folder
2. I added registry file to Leo registry
Now media player should open the rmvb file but ... while the file is opening media player is closing .
Any suggestions ? I hope that i write clearly ... My primary language isn't English

Try WavPlayer from play store
Try:
Simple Media Player (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dancadar.mobile.hitampfree)
Poweramp (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.maxmpz.audioplayer)
PlayerPro (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tbig.playerprotrial)
jetAudio (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jetappfactory.jetaudio)
Basically just search for '.wav' in the Play Store and find what you need

If you copy the file from your PC to your phone and using windows 7 select the convert and copy option then try to play it

Ok I checked and the problem is that your wav file is encoded in ADPCM instead of PCM. Android (and the apps) can only play Linear/Logarithmic PCM-encoded wav files.
Here's the MediaInfo:
Audio-
ID : 0
Format : ADPCM***
Format settings, Endianness : Little
Codec ID : 11
Codec ID/Hint : Intel
Duration : 32mn 52s
Bit rate mode : Constant
Bit rate : 32.0 Kbps
Channel(s) : 1 channel
Sampling rate : 8 000 Hz
Bit depth : 4 bits
Stream size : 7.52 MiB (100%)
Why don't you just convert your file to MP3? Maybe using Format Factory (see http://www.formatoz.com/)

now i understand why
thanks for all

Will this work on my SMT330NU? I am unclear of the installation process -what you mean by "throw a replacement to the folder, etc.." This sounds interesting.
