I don't know what forum to post this in, but since I got the S8 Plus and spend most of my time here I decided to post the question here.
Anyway, I was thinking about opening up a small retail shop or kiosk that sells stuff such as phone cases (not cheap china crap malls, ebay carry) chargers, tablet cases etc. and I was wondering if anyone knew who good distributors are and how much the minimal orders from them have to be.
I emailed a few of the case manufacturers directly such as Spigen and a couple others but they wouldn't give me any info except canned reply to fill out the dealer form. I want to know to see how much it cost and if the business idea is feasible or not.
I know many stores buy their stuff from distributors that carry the same brands such as Otterbox, Speck instead of being a direct dealer from the manufacturer so I was wondering if contacting them might be a better help.

I know they are relativelyinexpensive item, but when I broke one & lost one I went out to buy a replacement. I could get any number of palm stylus 3 for $9 or 3 for $19 but none that fitted my XDA IIs. Then I went online and found the cheapest I could get mine was 3 for $30. Has anyone found any cheaper ones?
Also be aware of the 3 in 1, if the tip comes off for the pen, it can get stuck in the clip that holds it...
Good point about the 3-in-1 stylus. While in Hong Kong, I tried a few different brands until I found one where the cap didn't come off. I had to use needle nose pliers to pull them out. It is better to find this item at a retailer because you do want to test them. It is a great accessory though.
Replacement Stylii
Has anyone had any luck finding replacement styli for the Blue Angel? Mine broke last night, and I can't find the second which -- theoretically -- came in the box. I found my styli for my old XDA, my XDA II and some plastic one for an original Palm Pilot I still have laying around... <sigh>.
Anyway, I see them up on eBay -- and the sales prices aren't too bad. But the shipping and handling are three times the cost of the stylus -- and the price "break" for ordering multiple items only makes shipping for the additional items cost as much as the stylus itself!!!
Anyway, any direction you can point me would be most appreciated.
Thanks!
has anyone found a cheap stylus yet? i would be willing to buy in bulk and sell them at cost to everyone on here.

You need to check the reputation of the seller before you buy from E-Bay.
And even than you are not sure about the quality of the battery.
The best is to buy the original battery recommended by HTC.
Actually, the best thing to do is, whenever you even remotely consider buying something from ebay, have a friend whack you in the head with a brick. There's a reason why the prices on ebay are so low...it's cause 99% of the products are either advertised as something they are not, or the seller is a straight up scammer and won't send you anything at all. Feedback is useless; there are networks of scammers out there who generate feedback for each other that appears to be legitimate.
If I sound a bit disgruntled, I'm sorry, but so far over the past 3 months I've lost over 500$ on ebay and STILL waiting for paypal dispute resolution to take care of it.

......................although; one can always have a great experience, bar the 2 cars I have bought! (Cars were under £200!)
Ebay is good but you have to do alot of research, just received the Seinheiser CX500 headphones.......fantastic and the world is far away due to the quality.........
Will
That's cool...I know I have had SOME good transactions on ebay, but I just hate the fact that when things go wrong they seem to tell you that they will help fix it when they dont...they need to regulate things more, because there are so many scammers on ebay...i would bet my life that there are at least 100 people gettimg scammed right this second
BTW Seinheiser is great..I've tried those and I liked them
For wired headphones though i use Ultimate Ears in ear monitors...theyre amazing but they cost ALOT
I'm trying to some some studio quality bluetooth headphones at the moment with no avail
Ebay
I get just about all of my phone accessories on ebay. Most of the stuff while cheap does what they say. True feedback does not mean much but I have bought all my extra batteris there and saved a lot of money. $ 12 for a battery there compaired to $40-50 eleswhere. I think it is worth a try.
I second surgex0. When stuff goes wrong ebay/paypal doesn't care.
And batteries - I got some 'new' batteries once that were original branded but lasted 20% my store bought batteries did. I'd stay away.
I just bought a buffalo leather case for the HD from more-thing.com after reading positive reviews from a fellow xda-developer guy. The good thing is that the delivery was very prompt. However, here comes the bad news. The case was defected. It had a scratch in the side that was both visible as well as an annoyance to touch, since I paid over s$72 with postage via speedpost. My complaint letter is attached below and I will be updating this post their response. Guess this will be a good judge of this company's character and policies.
My order number is #xxxxx. I have just received my case today and would very much like to return the case; however, I very displeased that I should be the one to be paying for the shipping since it was a factory defect. I had specifically stated in the comments of the post that I wanted my product to be checked and it should possess no obvious defects. If the product is damaged, should the company not be responsible for this problem? Why is it that I, as a customer have to bear the cost of shipping when it is the fault of the company? In addition, I paid for the speedpost as I wanted my item ASAP. But if the item has to be returned a few days after it arrived, just because it is damaged, then of what use is the speed post? Won't it be like would be paying more money just for my stock to arrive at a later date, as well as going through the hassle of posting the item and waiting for the new product to be shipped again? If that is the case, what difference is there between the usual registered mail and speedpost. I think that it a very unreasonable offer that the customer has to bear the cost of shipping just because of a factory defect which slipped pass the quality checks. Even if I were to return the case and get my money back, I would still be spending money which would not have been spent in the first place if I had not bought from the site. If needed I can provide some pictures of the scratch but I do not think that it can be seen from the pictures due to the complicated lines of the leather. I really hope that I will get a response from you shortly. I would be giving a photo review of the case in the famous xda-developers forums and this letter, as well as your response would be updated there.
I shattered my digitizer a few months ago and I finally scraped up enough money to buy a replacement.
I've read a few horror stories on Amazon about people buying crappy parts that wigged out.
Could anyone recommend a place that's reliable and ships to Canada?
Try eBay.
In ebay there is only one seller. Costs US$40. I would like to know where to buy it too. Got a dead stripe on my phone like a week ago. Going nuts with it. After fixing, im thinking in selling the phone, while it still holds some value.
There are many sellers. Search for "Atrix 4G". Don't include digitizer, screen, etc.
I found 43 different auctions when doing a search for "atrix 4g digitizers" so theres more than one. Here is a link to what would be the easiest option as from experience just replacing the digitizer is really hard.

Thanks for quick responses everyone.
I was hoping you guys could weigh in on what criteria should I buy the digitizer (with frame)?
I've seen a lot options and it's kind of overwhelming. Some are used, some are third party and some are straight from the factory OEM.
Has anyone worked with third party parts and found a drop in performance?
Experienced people recommend not bothering with 3rd party c**p (not worth the trouble) and only ever getting pure OEM.
