simple thing that i couldnt found in rr 8.3.x - Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Questions & Answers

While i use wifi my mobile data remains on.how to turn it off i cant find any option on resurrtion remix 8.3x based? on android 7.1.2

If I'm not mistaken, there should be an option in the developers options which says to keep mobile data on while wifi is on (to allow for quicker switching)

Disable Data Access Over Mobile Network By Default

My problem is...
At the first loading of flashed rom checkbox "Data Allowed" in the Mobile Network Settings ENABLED by default
I do not use unlimited Internet therefore
I need some flashable patch update.zip which I can flash after the rom for switching this option to DISABLE
It is Really? Where android save this setting?

It would probably be a lot easier to use an app like tasker to crate a profile that on device startup disables mobile data. Then before you switch ROMs backup your tasker profiles and the taker app. Then when you switch ROMs just immediately reinstall tasker and restore the profile to disable mobile data and you should be all set.

I think it is longer than manually swith "Data enabled" option off, am I right?
May be my English so bad...
May be I need to start this topic in another Threed ? Advice to me.
Look, I download some Custom ROM (Cyanogen based for example, it does not matter). I wish to Flash it. After "wipe data" all my settings deleted. I flash the ROM. I know that by default data access over mobile network is ON. I should to take out my SIM card before first load of ROM. After first loading finished
I manually swith "Data enabled" option OFF. I turn OFF smartphone. I connect my SIM card. I turn ON smartphone.
So many stupid steps just to try and test new Custom ROM....
I wish some patch (like GAPPS) to flash it immediately after the flashed ROM for switching OFF "Data enabled" option
Help me please :crying:
You could try changing the build.prop settings or something similar in radio configuration options and create a flashable zip (Look at this guide forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1611615) that modifies these properties using edify scripting that you could then turn into a flashable zip.

Flash ROM without sim card, boot then disable 'data'. Once done, insert sim again.

Do you have access points set?
Settings -> more -> mobile networks -> access point names, if you don't have them set go go settings -> xperia -> internet settings to re-configure access points

WhatsApp not working on 3G but working on Wi-Fi

I'm unable to use WhatsApp on 3G, but it works fine on Wi-Fi.
So far, I've tried:
1) Restore to factory default, flashing a new ROM, resetting APN, re-installing WhatsApp, rebooting, re-insert SIM Card
2) Using my SIM Card on my other phone (Note 2) and it works fine, but not on my S3.
3) Calling my service provider -- they said the fault's not with them.
I'm on CM 10.2 stable. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

I found this thread which suggests using another APN (may have to check with the service provider).
The apps you mentioned are all messaging/IM apps. Maybe your network is blocking them on data? This is more common than you might think.

Thanks a lot RazorMC, the problem was with the APN Settings.

Mobile network wont work.

So I installed Cyanogenmod 12.1 Android 5.1.1 to my Sony Xperia Z2, and after installation my phone wont connect to mobile network. Wifi works, and phonecalls work. There is exclamation mark in the signal icon, and when i connect to wifi it disappears. I didnt find any mistakes in APN. Could it be wrong baseband? Or what could it be?
Maybe internet settings are missing ? go to settings>more> internet settings> download settings for Internet and MMS. (I had the same problem but it is working fine now)

Check APN settings under the Wireless & Networking menu. You’ll find that no APN has been set. You’ll need to choose the one for your mobile operator or worse – manually enter the APN settings. After setting the APN you could need to restart your phone

I have dont that, and No help.. Could it be the baseband version problem? Im trying to install stock rom, test it if it then would work..
Call *#*#4636#*#* to enter phone settings or use this app and select Additional Info
Select Phone information
Set prefered network type to CDMA auto (PRL) and wait until your phone connects to 3G
Change prefered network to LTE/GSM/CDMA auto (PRL) maybe this works? If not I am sorry

The exclamatory means that there is no internet access. Ask your service provider for manual internet settings.

How can i get cyanogenmod mobiledata working, without the option to install network settings?

3. Connect to fast WiFi
4. Open Proton VPN and connect to Japan server
