Hi, recently I started facing touch screen issues.
My touch sensitive buttons aren't responding and sometimes the lower part of the touch screen is unresponsive. That is fixed with a gentle squeeze and a lock and unlock. Sometimes the touch behaves as if I'm using two fingers than one (scaling when trying to fast forward video using one finger )
Sometimes the entire touch screen goes unresponsive which is fixed with a lock and unlock. The scroll becomes dead slow too sometimes. Again the fix is the same.
I'm not sure if this is a firmware issue or hardware issue. The rest of the touch works fine.
I'm using a Gionee P6
I tried to trouble shoot using the secret star codes but unfortunately the menu is in Chinese for this device.
If someone could help before I send it in for repair which will take a long time I'd appreciate it
EDIT : I Was able to use the touch screen testing from the diagnosis hardware menu and there are no dead points. Every part of the touch screen responds. Except when I actually use them in Android
Hello,
I have a tablet with Android 4.4.2 (kinda old) and recently I changed its touch screen because it was broken. It's the second time I change this tablet's touch screen and the first time it was working correctly, but now it acts weird. More specifically, it "clicks" at wrong location instead of the location I touch (I have enabled touchs tracking from the advanced menu). It does not click on it's own randomly, it just clicks wrong. My thoughs are that the touch screen was faulty but a second opinion would be appreciated. I'm also thinking of calibrating the touch screen with those apps running around in play store. I can upload a screenshot as well if needed.
Thanks in advance, Michalis.
Hi,
I recently rooted my Note 4 (in efforts to installing a custom Rom on the device) and everything went successfully until I realized that my touch screen positioning is all messed up.
The touch screen is responsive but where I click and what gets selected is all effed up. For example- the option which is at the bottom right on the screen gets selected when I press somewhere in the middle right section of the screen. It seems the touch option is all scaled up.
I installed Samsung default Rom in efforts to fix this but the problem still persists.
Any idea on what can fix this?
Cheeers,

bump !
I have a Nuvision Encite Split 11 and have Android x86 Oreo installed on it. Everything works except for 2 things:
The touchscreen isn't working properly
The horizontal rotation is flipped (Which I've temporarily solved by downloading a rotation control app)
So, my main issue is the touch screen, which I believe is a Silead GSL1680. On the surface, it seems that the touch screen isn't working at all, but after testing, it seems the touch screen is in fact working, it's just completely miscalibrated, which I'm assuming is due to an incorrect driver (possibly touch screen size? This is the only explanation I have right now, as I've made multiple attempts at trying to replace the silead_ts.fw file and the results slightly changed). I've read that I'd need to edit the kernel to change the touch screen driver to better fit my device, but honestly, I don't know where to begin and was just looking for the guidance.
