That might be hardware fault? Did you try reflashing Miui stock rom or any Custom rom? Try flashing different roms, if the problem still exists, then get it fixed by visiting a nearby service centre.

i dont think its a hardware issue...i think i have to reflash to miui stock rom to be sure but i kinda wanted to avoid it...if it cud be fixed without doing that

Yep. Try reflashing MIUI.
okay so i reflashed stock rom and vibration still not working, so its a confirmed hardware fault.

Now,I have installed devoid, but problem is same.Do you know the solution?Because it does not seem hardware Problem.

I do not think that it is kernel problem because I have used francisisco kernel from v9 to v14.2.2
First I thought that problem starts if I charge my mobile to 100%,now I feels that it happens when battery gets heated up and some sweat from ears touched the screen. But,these are my assumptions.
try doing a clean flash again and dont install anything for sometime and test it..

Thanks for the useful info
sounds like a hardware problem you might have to send the phone in dont worry about the rooted and ROM maybe reflash the original ROM but its not a big deal especially if your with tmobile in america i have sent 2 phones back rooted and with roms on them i could be wrong though so do a lil research there might be a fix

Yes,I wipe all the data, before installing custom or stock rom.
I install 10b stock version and use zroot to root it.
Then, with the help of ADB i install custom recovery
Flash stock 2.2.1 and root with gingerbreak. Use terminal emulator to flash custom recovery..

Ok, so ive had a couple of problems with my recently bought Sgs2, ive got all the other problems fixed except this one: when i turn on the camera app, the flash goes on and off once, the same happens when i turn off the camera. Its a very fast flash that occurs.. it doesnt matter what camera app i use, it does it everytime.. the flash does work properly during camera use if needed, and works normally as a torch.
It doesnt bother me much, but would be nice to get fixed..
Any ideas?

Im using SlimICS 4.2+ Siyah 5.0.1
So he said.... That if You using not stock rom flash bug be...
Looks like he said: if its a custom JB rom, the bug occurs. Im using ICS and the same thing happened before i even flashed a custom rom. The phone was running a stock Samsung GB rom then..

And if u said it happened before flashing roms, Then it must be a hardware issue.

I have the same problem, that the flash will light up shortly when the camera app closed, and when I read the last comments it seems that this is a known issue for quite a while.
How does it come that this is not fixed yet. I'm using custom roms now for a few month now and from the beginning I was wondering about the strange flash behaviour compared to the stock rom.
Is it because there is still no official release from Samsung for JB or why is it so difficult to fix? Are the camera drivers closed source?

Guys, it has got nothing to do with the hardware, its a random one that happens with all ICS and JB based custom roms

If you read the whole thread , i had the problem before custom roms with a 100% stock Samsung GingerBread rom..

have u tried flashing a Stock ICS rom (v4.0.3) and seen for the issue
if not give it a try and see, just to confirm whether its really a hardware issue or a software one
nothing to loose though, if the problem gets resolved for u it would be fine right
do a clean wipe before installing.

I used to get that on my x10i with certain roms.Definitely a software problem.
Same issue here, came about randomly day before yesterday. LED flashes once, quickly, whenever something tries to activate it.
Only ever used stock soft/firmware, and Chainfire's kernel. Cleared all caches, tried factory reset, problem persisted.
Flashed to whatever the latest ICS is for H3G today, problem still persists, I shall try official kernel tomorrow, see if that fixes it -- I don't hold much hope.

Weird.Try a 4.3 ROM with Dori kernel.
Before flashing 4.3, first try a few things.
Firstly, try using a static ip address. Search on google for that, you'll get a million hits.
In fact, you don't even tell us what you do when you're on 4.2. Do you use a custom kernel? If you do, does it work with the stock kernel? If you don't use a custom kernel, flash one (say dorimanx 9.14. I know there's much more recent ones but that is regarded as the most stable for a long time). Then test.
And what 4.2 roms have you tried? Are other people on the same rom saying wifi doesn't work?

Can't recommend...I'm not using 4.2.2/4.3 ROMs since June,and 4.3 are very new.Try a random ROM out,like paranoid android 3.99 with Stock kernel first,the try dori 9.39.
So you haven't even tried the bleeding obvious, yet you're blabbering about flashing custom roms & even taking it to a service centre ?
^^^ exactly.
To add to that though, what on earth do you want the service centre to say? It's been stated by the OP that wifi is fine on stock 4.1.2. Service centre has nothing to do there, all is good on stock. Doesn't work on 4.2? Not their problem. Good luck getting them to even look at it if you're running 4.2.

The kernel version should match the firmware version. There is a fix in my thread, maybe it can solve your problem. You should make a backup though, no idea on which Rom, kernel you are. Might result in making the problem even worse - Short version: Maybe it will help or do something which I have no idea of. Disclaimer in my thread applies
