Hello,
I flashed my Oukitel K6000 Pro to Android Nougat 7.0, which was recently officially released on Oukitel's websites. Everything works like a charm except for fast charging. It takes literally hours to charge the phone with a charger that in Marshmallow charged the phone fully in few hours. I've found out that people using Samsung phones and some other brands have similar issue after Nougat update with an exception, though. Their Nougat's settings look different than Oukitel's. In Oukitel's there's no fast charging setting to enable, or disable the fast charging. I've tried to find some solution, but could not find any.
May anybody help me to fix this?
Thank you so far

Exactly, you're not alone in this.
From what I've gathered over Oukitel's official Facebook via comments, many users are experiencing this issue too.
But I've also found a great deal of those still running 6.0 have started to experience battery charging issues as well since the 7.0 update was made public.
Not sure how this is possible since their OTA app hasn't indicated any patches and hasn't updated anything that would lead to this issue happening on all Oukitel phones. Not just the K6000 Pro.
The funny side of it, You can't charge it enough to even do a flash...
This one user on youtube has found that their Oukitel K4000 isn't even drawing a charge when plugged in. (removed as new user I can't post links) watch?v=OvgN_QN5nE8

Hello,
I know few Oukitel K6000 Pro users, nobody has complained yet about the phone's Marshmallow charging issue. But anyway... This particular issue means the fast charging problem, particularly on K6000 Pro. The phone charges fully, it takes way more time, though, and it got triggered after the flash, to Nougat 7.0. I think it is a very specific issue, which has nothing to do with: 1. issues the users of other Oukitel's phones are facing (having its own specifics), and/or 2. with some K6000 Pro users' issues they face on Marshmallow.
I contacted right after the issue's recognition also Oukitel themselves. They responded, promising to make some tests in order to diagnose and potentially fix its Nougat's fast charging issue. Another K6000 Pro user, I know, received the answer informing him that Oukitel is aware of the issue, and that it tries to find out, where the cause is located... Let us see.
OTA update, any improvement for you regarding the fast charge issue?
Hello,
there's a new OTA update for Oukitel K6000 Pro. Did the update do any improvement for you regarding the fast charge issue? Not for me.
Thanks.
having the same issue here and im in the uk . Is there a way to downgrade or is it worth installing a custom rom?
I have never neither tried any custom rom for my Oukitel K6000 Pro, nor downgraded it, so I can't tell you. Nevertheless, I've discussed the issue continually with another owner of this phone, and we found out that a cable with a high current throughput may fix the issue. I may recommend Syncwire ~ SW-MC013. The connector of this cable is not as long as the original Oukitel's however, still holds in the phone's port quite well. ('Fast Charge & Sync - Cables are made with 23 AWG High Gauge Low Impedance wires which enable Syncwire cable to deliver up to 2.4 Amp current and transfer data up to 480 Mbits via USB 2.0. ' - https://www.amazon.com/Micro-Cable-Android-Charger-Super-Durable/dp/B01GFB1SLC) Also a good charger with voltage up to 9V may help. The original has, I think, 5V max.
My phone seems to have, though, issues also with the phone's port. Sometimes, with the Syncwire's cable, it's recharged quickly in few hours, at other times, it doesn't recognize connected cables at all, or there are short gaps withing the charging process, or charging takes way longer. SW-MC013 is being recognized the best from all the cables I have here and tried. So I would like to try to replace the port soon. When I have it replaced, I'll inform here, if the issue is really fixed. The other owner's phone stopped having the issues with the appropriate charger and cable (he's, actually, recommended me the Syncwire's SW-MC013 cable).

would also like to know if you fixed it. im from Portugal and I'm on marshmallow. having this issue for at least a year now
Hello, all, it's been a while. I'll add some story to this, hopefully useful. I actually changed the phone and gave my K6000 Pro to a friend of mine, who needed any better phone than hers, which K6000 Pro apparently was. She still has Nougat 7.0 (original stock ROM) on it and faces the same issue, but we're gonna change that. It's possible to make it charge faster with appropriate cables on Nougat, but it's still only a normal charging mode perhaps, running slightly faster, but definitely not fast charging. Lately I've got another K6000 Pro after a while for another friend of mine. I faced some charging issues, too, on its original Marshmallow Android 6 stock ROM. These issues were of a different type, though. I flashed it to Nougat to see what happens, how it reacts on a fast charger I've got from Oukitel to K3. This charger is way stronger than K6000 Pro's original. It offers 5/7/9 V mode, and 2 A. Its cable is also way more thick, and definitely supports fast charging. When I charged the phone with its original OS with this charger, it showed even a different graphic in its turned off mode, the same as on K3, and everything really went very fast. After the flash, including all Oukitel's updates, surprise, surprise, things got slower, the graphic stayed the same as in a normal charging mode. It was slightly faster, but definitely not that fast as with the previous OS. So I continued testing, and found this: https://www.needrom.com/download/oukitel-k6000-pro-6-0/ Here you can download the latest released Marshmallow stock ROM for K6000 Pro. There's also a specific version of software allowing you to safely downgrade the firmware to it. When I did that, the fast charging was right back. For this version of stock ROM, there's an update with basically one described fix: charging. After this update, all the previous phone's charging issues were gone. It started to fast charge again, works like a charm now. So that's it. I don't recommend the official Nougat stock ROM made by Oukitel, because they have never really dealt with its recharging drivers.
Unlock issue
After flashing my Oukitel to Nougat the phone needs ages to unlock, 7 seconds to be exactly. When I lock the phone and immediately unlock it again everything is fine but when it rests a few moments and I try to unlock it again it needs the 7 seconds to react. Same goes for calling. During the call the phone locks the screen to prevent some actions, when I put the phone away from my head it needs time to be ready again. Someone had that too?
I have it as a backup device and keep it in the bathroom to play music while taking a shower. Would love to find a slim, fast new ROM of 8.0

Is it possible to adjust volume in CrDroid Custom Rom Nougat 7.1.2 similarly as in MTK Engineering Mode? I guess it's not possible to start Engineering Mode in CrDroid Custom Rom Nougat 7.1.2 or any other custom rom, right? Without it, it's unusable.

Either install viper4android
Or try to tweak certain xml files. I don't know the specific name anymore since I moved on to a new phone. But it does work after tinkering

MTKEM access is there but, available options in many cases are not working. I'm having phone's microphone issues, it seems to not work at all.
Speaking of CrDroid, after installing it with TWRP 3.0.2 (the only working from all versions I tried), the internal emulated storage is not accessible in both available versions on needrom.com.
Can you remember how to fix it?

Hi! I've been reading this forum on and off for few years, but never actually posted. Hope someone here can help me sort out my issue, thanks in advance!
Basically, I've flashed a cm13 via custom recovery on my second phone - Xiaomi Mi4, and I'm having all sorts of issues with it. I bought the phone in China, and for a while
used the stock MIUI interface, but I hated all the bloated apps and weird pop-up advertising, so decided to flash. it was the first time i've attempted it, so it took some
time to figure it out
My two main issues with cm13:
1. It crashes and restarts two/three times daily for me. I mean, I've cleared cache, I basically have no apps on the phone (apart from few messaging apps and facebook).
Is it just because it's an early cm13 build, or it's a nature of custom roms? I'm wondering if switching to a snapshot cm12 build would be better? I don't really care for
android 6 features on this phone that much, I just want a stable experience.
2. The charging became uber slow, painfully so. On MIUI it'd charge to 100% in about 3 hours or so. On cm13 it takes 3-4 hours to get to 30-40%! Never seen anything like
this. Also, if the battery depletes to 0%, the phone wouldn't turn on, even plugged in for charging. It'd turn on after an hour or two into the charging process. Seems weird,
as every other android phone I've owned previously would turn on even with 0% battery if I'm plugged in.
Anyone else experience any of the listed issues? Is it just an early build, or I've done something wrong in the flashing process? I really just want a stable simple os, no advanced
features or whatever, just need it to work
Thanks!
I have been using latest nightly.. No issues no reboot.. Charging time is 3hr

Thanks for reply! Would you mind telling me which gaps you've used for your build? I remember I had some sort of an issue with few gaps
I tried, I think only the smallest package worked for me. Maybe that's the issue and something in the gaps i've installed freezing/rebooting my os?
Thanks
So I bought this for my wife, and just got it yesterday. I rooted and flashed Small EUI on it. But the battery life is pretty disappointing and the fingerprint scanner hardly ever works.
Are there some fixes for these issues I'm missing out, or a new stable ROM you can suggest me?
Pretty gutted as it looks like a great phone.
Cheers
Heyyo @Mae7 if that ROM isn't functioning good for you I'd recommend flashing a newer version of the modem firmware. I know it sounds odd but it definitely affects the fingerprint performance when the device is asleep.
Chinese 26s 05.09 is the one I recommend as it is the last stable one that LeEco released.
https://yadi.sk/d/woKdrlRrv8yhr/Китай
Developer 466D is another modem firmware option that some users prefer
https://yadi.sk/d/woKdrlRrv8yhr/Для разработчиков
Otherwise? If you're interested in sticking with EUI ROM I've heard that CrisBalGrece version is good same with Cuoco92's version.
I myself left EUI ROM really fast and recommend OmniROM 7 Nougat. Performance is good, it has Vulkan support, Dolby Atmos and infrared app and it's the only custom ROM with official SafetyNet certification.
Thanks man, I tried Lineage, but still the fingerprint isn't working
I'll try flash OmniROM.
EDIT: I flashed that modem, but no luck. The fingerprint reader doesn't recognize anything/not vibration.
EDIT 2: I tried Resurection Remix and Omni and the fingerprint reader isn't working. It worked for a tiny bit then stopped again... how can I fix it? It's really frustrating as it's a gift for my wife and it doesn't work well The battery life is terrible too.
Again, I ask people don't root and stick to original firmware. It's not your phone. It's your wife phone. You just ruin the phone.
I have very good battery life. Half day still got 44%.fingerprint also work great. I have original Indian ROM 19.

As you were told before, you're not the only one using this phone. Yours is working perfectly? Then lucky you. A lot of people, who didn't root nor flash anything besides the stock ROM, saw their fingerprint readers fail. Then, once it's not working, it's understandable to try anything to recover it. And, for the 1000000th time, rooting doesn't break hardware on its own, and lots of Le Max 2 users have defective fingerprint sensors on a hardware level. Many of them solved the issue by replacing the defective sensor, and some of those users still have the phone rooted.
To sum it up, your comment doesn't help.

You can try a method which recovered mine for a while, although it died again. Let's hope it lasts in your case:
Let the phone on battery, until battery level reaches 0% and the phone switches off by itself. If you want it to be fast, you can try an app that drains you battery faster. I used one called "Your battery drainer", available from Google Play Store. Then, let it sit for an hour or two more, and charge it again until 100% battery level. Some people say that it's best to use normal and not fast charging, so before you drain the battery, make sure fast charging is disabled.
Once the phone is charged, turn it on and try the fingerprint again.
If this doesn't work, you may try to file a dispute through Paypal (if you paid through Paypal) and maybe you can return the phone and get a refund.
In case you want to do this, do not listen to the seller asking you to return to an address they give you, as there are cases where the seller later refused to acknowledge they had received the returned goods. Instead, escalate the dispute to a claim, let Paypal decide, and if they decide on your side, it will be Paypal that gives you a return address.
You then send the phone to the address provided by Paypal (with a trackable service) send Paypal the tracking number and when they have proof your package has arrived, they refund you. And, if eligible, they will even pay your shipping costs.

You didn't mention if you flashed an updated modem firmware. As I mentioned previously it is required to upgrade the modem firmware for the fingerprint sensor to work when the device is asleep for custom ROMs.
Please check my previous post for the modem firmware links to flash via TWRP. Flashing modem firmware doesn't require reflashing the ROM as it is separate from the ROM.

Yeah I flashed the Chinese 26s 05.09 but didn't seem to help. But draining the phone to 0% and charging it back up to 100% worked. Sometimes the sensor doesn't work, especially if the phones been sitting over night it just wont work for a while.
Also the battery is really bad on this thing, 1.45h of screen time and it's at 53%. I really wish this phone was stronger in those two points, but I'm feeling let down. I might send it back for a refund if another ROM doesn't fix it. Also what version/where can I download the Indian stock ROM I would need if I want to try that?
Thanks for the info above about returning it if I comes down to that.

No worries
Which model is yours? On the back of the phone it should say x820, x821 or x829
X820 is Chinese
X821 is Indian
X829 is international / North America
This thread should still have links to all three

Hello guys
I have strange issue for me. If i did install miui, the charging is fast, about 1600mA< and this is good.
But if i install some Resurrection remix, pixel ex. or any other custom firmware then it's the trouble with charging. It is very slow and the led is still blinking, for some time it will start working and charge normal amount. It have to be some software issue, but i have no idea what to do.
Sorry for orthographic mistakes and thanks a lot for any help
Try switching kernels

MIUI either has an optimized kernel to support and extend longevity of the device battery or exaggerates the stats (like it always does). On the other hand, other ROMs are mostly minimalist where it is unlikely to face slow charging. Try switching kernels to those that can give you a better battery life. Do not try getting features like Fast Charging which is disabled by default for the SoC.
Phone not charging on custom roms(no led) but charging with pc
Hello guys.
I am getting serious problem with my phone. It is totally working with miui dev or stable rom but in every custom rom battery is not charging at all with wall charger. I have tried dotos , pixel experience all oreo or pie roms. Phone is totally connecting with desktop by fastboot, file transfer mode & also charging. I am forced to be in miui due to this problem.
I hope someone can address this issue.

Sorry for absence for almost a month, but solution given by ADInfinity1999 is right. I tried this one

And it works well on latest Resurrection remix for mido, at the beginning, it charges with about 500mA and doesn't make an impression it disconnects. Then my phone charging over 2000mA and it's fast as it should be. Try and enjoy your custom rom

Hello !
For many issues i left Android 10 , issues like battery drain , camera, proximity sensor issue , network issue, restart issue.
Big question will there be a stable Android 10 ultimately??? ?
If then when?
I have two EU Mi A3 phones on Android 10 (one fully stock, second one rooted). There is no battery drain, no network issue, no random restarts. The latest June update (not available for global yet) fixed also camera and "generic" memory leak issue (or at least it's not that visible anymore). The only remaining issue is that Chrome sometimes freezes during browsing, but that could be due to the app itself.
Long story short, A10 is already as stable as A9 was.
Yes, same here, full stock global unrooted, no big issues.
You can use brave browser, no ads and no freezes
Here the situation is totally different.
I have owned 2 Mi A3 phones.
Both were upgraded to A10 (Evolution X with root). While one was stable, the other suffered from automatic reboots when the screen is locked (usually when I'm asleep) or while unlocking the screen.
Both were originally European versions of the phone, but the custom A10 ROM may have installed a global firmware/vendor.
The stable one I gave to my sister and she's still using and upgrading it without problems.
I kept the unstable one for myself and I've tried to repair or at least find out why it reboots by installing different ROMs (crDroid and Evolution X) and different kernels (Bit and Fenix) but so far I've not been able to solve the issue. I've looked at the logcat and even send the logcat to the developer of some custom ROMs.
I suspect that the reboot happened because of the phone activating itself to look for new messages in the background (while the screen is locked). Maybe the phone was switching between different sleep/active states. The reason I suspect this is because I've seen at least once that the reboot happened around the same time that I see in the logfile of my WiFi access point that this phone is having some internet traffic.
Sadly I don't have the right skills to develop my own custom ROM, but if someone with these skills is reading: If you have time, please make a custom ROM based on A9 with signature spoofing and root. I was still using Kitkat a half year ago, so I'm not in a hurry to use A10 or 11.
Update:
I've just read some one suspect that the reboot is caused by the phone trying to adjust the brightness because he was walking out of a building when the reboot happened... so maybe in my case it was the phone (while the screen is off and locked) is receiving a new message and trying to turn on the screen to show the notification.
Well guys there is new disgusting problem faced by me also by many ..
Screen goes off after call , it doesn't alive untill the other person hangs.
We r here mostly use global version.
Facing many bugs!!
Like restart problem!!
Sensor problem..
Battery not stable..!
MI A3 still they didn't declared STABLE 10.
SO I AM WAITING WITH MY GLOBAL VERSION..

Well thats definitely big concerns.. however.. a10 is just out for this device in may update! So waiting for more fixes !
I think dev. Should concern about the feedbacks and bugs..
Not worth to use like this..
I am not ROM developer i have seen only miui11 Working for a9 but i dont like miui at all..
I dont think anyone will make rom for a9. Coz its very irritating work to rollback !
I only like stock rom!
Am just waiting for PIXEL EXPERIENCE..
The rom u use Evolution X has not good camera. Like stock..
I want 99%✓✓ ok custom like stock..
I am using Pocof1 March2019
lately,
1. it lags alot
2. heats up alot
3. freezes on touch and even applications doesn't work as swiftly as before!
now i have done the following
1. tried three different kernels after CLEAN flashing Roms such as Corvus, Crdroid, havoc , of Android 9 and 10 both and tested performance
2. device was running on Lawrun for last many months various updates on Pie rom
3. I FORMAT data and Reflashed MIUI11.0.8 by Fastboot method, clean flashing fully
4. I then format data again and changed by filesystem to f2fs
using now AEX / pie with sphinx3.1 and barely making thru day
device heats alot even on room temperature while ac working.
it is possible the cooling mechanism is deat? or thats the end of this device for me?
any sugggestions? before i go to market and start hunting for some other developer friendly device?
on same node, can one suggest me another Xiomi (LED panel only) which is very popular on xda , having many kernels and roms?
thank you in advance guys
Well if you've done all possible ts software wise, then it's likely an issue with hardware. If it's just heating issues depends on what you're doing. If you have a case, depending on thickness and what you are doing then it would cause heating problems and also if the phone overheats then performance dips.
In my case haven't had issues with the phone at all performance wise, battery, or anything else (only problem is signal, but that's an issue with my network, not the phone per se).
So based on my humble opinion, try having it checked for damages. Since it's out of warranty have a technician check it out, most technicians provide free diagnostics anyway, or if you're confident enough try opening the phone yourself, ifixit has a tutorial on it and unlike most phones it's an easy teardown. But if you're not confident look for a pro who offers free diagnostics first

You are using android 10 firmware with android 9, why ? If you use Android 10 with older firmwares than 11.0.4.0 it will cause issues and so is your case, just in reverse. Try to flash 11.0.8.0 from fastboot. Then flash recovery > AEX 7.3 + gapps. Or try Reloaded OS. It is a CAF rom so performance is great with good battery backup. You won't need any custom kernels. If no progress still then get ready to say goodbye to your poco.

You're confusing bro. As for data, why not just back it up? You yourself even stated that you've formatted, flashed and all that stuff right? So basically by now you have no internal data or you already have a backup. And as I said dude just have it inspected, they should be able to perform a checkup within the day if they aren't that busy. I've had issues before and in my country some where able to diagnose the issue.
FYI that's your problem if they can't diagnose it in a few hours, if you badly need the phone repaired then prep for it, "diskarte" as we call it, that means planning ahead in my country. Make plans and prep for it, either borrow an old phone from a friend for the mean time while you have yours in repair or something or ask maybe the repair guy has a spare dumb phone (some OEMS do that if you are in warranty anyway) or tell people not to call you on a certain day because you need to have the phone repaired.
Again, that's no longer my issue "diskartehan mo" make your own plans. I'm saying if you tried all software then it's hardware. If you don't want to go through all that hassle then just buy a new phone, simple as that

the reason why i am nervous here, locally there arent any good repair shops who can fix Xiaomi Devices. mostly go after iphones or samsungs hence i am pretty positive any repair shop person will open device, ask for something to be replaced and it wont matter
I'm on latest MIUI 11.0.8.0 with No Gravity Kernel, with NGK thermals. Performance is superb and runs very smooth. PUBG runs at constant 60FPS even on HDR + Extreme (used GFX tool).
CPU throttling test app provides results of 170K+ GIOPS. On stock MIUI kernel, this result doesn't cross 100k and even PUBG is not playable when there are many players nearby. Constant stuttering and lag.
You should try fastboot flashing the latest stable ROM and a custom kernel (NGK, ODK, Lawrun etc) to check, as stock MIUI kernel is laggy anyway. If everything is fine in hardware, this setup will provide you with Max performance.
My phone makes two years this november and it still gets 360k on antutu on same setup and never gets heated
*Changed the battery two months ago eve it didn't have any problem
