Hi. I've been searching all over xda to find out what exactly I need to do to be able to flash custom roms running 7.1 Nougat, but I find my self bouncing back and forth trying to figure out the exact procedure to take, in which I need clarification and guidance.
Specs:
Model: KIW-L24
Build: KIW-L24C567B130
Android Version: 5.1.1 (Lollipop)
Rooted: YES
Boot loader status: UNLOCKED
TWRP installed: YES
I am wanting to flash custom ROMs like lineage and cosmicOS, but they all require a stock MarshMallow update before proceeding. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but this is how I think I am supposed to do this:
1st: download KIW-L24C567B331_Stock_Plus_Stock_Recovery.7z (Which I believe is MM 6.0.1)
2nd: flash the stock image and recovery using TWRP
3rd: flash TWRP back on to get rid of stock recovery
4th: flash custom ROM that requires a stock MM update
Is this the correct procedure?
Thank you.

Hi, my device is not unlocked but it is rooted and have dual recovery.
Could someone please guide me to where I can find clear instructions to flash CM12.1 on Z3tablet compact LTE (SGP641)
Model: Sgp641
Android Version: 5.02
Build number: 23.1.A.1.28
Kernel version: 3.4.0-perf-g4d6e88e
Sorry I'm just a newbie on this and appreciate anyone's help as much as possible. Thanks.
Sent from my SGP641 using XDA Free mobile app
You can download nightlies of the ROM from Cyanogen's own website.
I have a SGP611 and I used to have dual recovery installed on it until I noticed that every time I tried to flash a zip file, I'd get the "Status 7" error concerning the updater-script
I proceeded to get the boot.img inside the ROM's flashable zip and flash it via Fastboot. I was then able to boot into CyanogenMod's recovery, factory reset, and flash cm12.1 as well as 5.1 gapps from PA
I am using a XT1022 and a custom ROM of Android version of 6.0.1. I want to use a stock ROM right now.
Earlier, i had a stock version of my ROM but the last time i flashed it, my mobile got OTA upgrade. And later i again flashed a custom ROM but now, i could not perform my stock ROM flash. Can anyone tell me how to find the present stock version of my android?
Why do you want to go to stock Rom?They are outdated.
Still if you want stock lollipop then visit this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-e/development/rom-stock-motorola-lollipop-rom-t3167111
Hi, im new to flashing kernels
I accidentally flashed the Marshmallow boot.img skymelon and I'm now stuck on bootloop. I have lollipop
Does anyone have stock boot.img lollipop for e2353 or working boot.img for lollipop? Thanks in advance
Install Marshmallow and then root phone. Then use version 8 of SkyMelon kernel, it work perfect. After installing of kernel do wipe cache and dalvik via TWRP. Phone should be charged at least at 50%.
You need to have unlocked bootloader.
If you want to use Lollipop instead of Marshmallow, then you can use different kernel from topic for rooting of Lollipop in this forum.
Rooted my s9+, at the moment using soldier rom.
I want to go back and use stock samsung firmware 8.0 android from soldier 9.0 (I will stick to it as long as I can).
If I flash it using odin will twrp remain or will I have to wait for bootloader to unlock or I won't have to wait.
Any help I appreciate.
When you flash a stock rom, it includes stock TWRP also, so if you want to root or flash custom rom you will have to flash custum TWRP first
