Thanks for your petition. Xiaomi ain't going to listen. BTW, we have tons of stable Oreo ROMs. Who cares about official update. I'm on N2OS and it's fast as light. The battery backup is insane! ?
Move on to custom ROM is more logic for me. It less bloated than MIUI. It's already 8.1 BTW ?

My favorite is Aospextended 5.1 unofficial same as nitrogen os in all manners but with extra customization ??

It's budget phone... There are 28% of phones that still run on lollipop... And Nougat is on just on 15% (there is even more users on KitKat for God sake).
What would you tell that our phone didn't get past lollipop, it would be like apocalypse day for you and not just sad day...

Every Xiaomi phone receives atleast one major update.. Expect android 7 within 6 months..!
Redmi Note 4 just received support for the project treble by one of the dedicated member of XDA so shall we expect the same for the redmi note 5 and redmi Note 5 Pro?

Yeah obviously it is not going to be happening by the company as we know that this company is very lazy in even releasing the kernel sources on the phone and expecting the advanced partition modification like vendor partition and making it project treble compatible is a way out of the scope. So I can expect that only in the future models

Yeah I know this issue has been acknowledged and the thread has been moved to the suitable place.
Has the grand 2 developer are making grand 2 many ROMs...and keeping it still alive ...Is very good ...
As many developers are porting to flyme os,dotos,aim,viperos and many more ....
Is there any developer who can make a pixel experience ROM for grand 2 ...It will be very great too..
Get a close-to-stock rom like lineage and flash magisk and then, get the pixel 2 experience magisk zip. Essentially the same effect without making a whole new rom.
No. Bungee gave up G2 support cuz of that glimpser guy and a whole bunch of nooboids crashing all over those threads.
And I have no time to build it. Also Pixel experience is AOSP based as much as I know and we don't have LOS tree adapted for AOSP so it's not possible. And don't throw your "can anyone port this that" request in General section. It should be in the Q/A section tyvm.

Nyeh. He's porting privately now. Only for us. My friend and I have adapted new sources with a few fixes so we could work on oreo if its stable but we have no ways and means to build. No PC no cloud. Get me a cloud and I'll support the developement. Otherwise maybe it's over lol

What do you mean by cloud? A build server? And how are you keeping contact with BungeeJumper? Is it telegram or slack or some other service?
