Greetings and salutations everyone,
I recently received my LG G5 but made a personal mistake in updating to android nougat... I had a look around and couldn't find any marshmallow ROMs for the LG G5 and was wondering if any of you had an idea as to what I could use.
The reason I want to revert is because I prefer to have my device rooted with Xposed installed as I find it makes the experience more enjoyable, however, there is no version of Xposed available for Nougat
much appreciated

Hi everyone,
Being forced to buy a new phone, because of a hardware failure, I ended up buying the Moto G5 XT 1676. To my pleasant surprise the source code has already been made available by Lenovo.

Unfortunately I cannot code for s**t, so I hope someone will pick it up from here, so we can enjoy cool custom ROMs soon.

Is there currently any custom roms in development?

Hi everyone,
I'm considering building a new Custom ROM for my Teclast X98 Plus tablet to get new features and security updates.
However I've never done that before, but as there are other Custom ROMs I think it must be possible somehow
The Android version of the original firmware is 5.1, also Mireks ROM for the tablet is based on that and also the available Remix OS 2.0 I guess.
My question is: Do you think it is possible to build a mostly working ROM based on a newer version like Marshmallow, Nougat or even Oreo?
And is it possible to extract the proprietary blobs and drivers from an existing ROM and get them working on the newer Android?
I've seen that on other devices, but I don't know where they got the blobs and other stuff needed.
Any input would be appreciated
Hey guys... What do you think is "more efficient"? The new emui 9.1 Android 9.1 official rom or e.g OpenKirin OmniROM Beta 3 or Resurrection Remix OS 7.0.1 Beta 1?
I like to think that they are better when it comes to customize my device...
Thank you all for your answers!
I posed a similar question a few days ago about stock vs customer Roms but no replies. My general feeling is that with the stability of a the stock Huawei and a few non root tweeks (ADB bloatware removal and another launcher) I have a very stable usable and snappy phone... However each person uses their phone differently. I hope so either weigh in for you.
It depends on what you're doing with your device, it is stock android p is already OTA and my personal opinion is keep stick to stock because this is not a flagship device and moderators are give up easily.
Hi,
Is it possible to install a newer version of the system Android in this Phone? I think about custom ROM
I didn't find any information. I only found information about LG G4. I guess the devices are almost identical,
Thanks.
