I extracted the firmware from the latest 26s_v2 beta that was released just a few days ago. For me it fixed the crashing on the Taxi app I use.

Seems almost the same, I see that there is no more fixed live button. Now you can remove it and use that space.
This is just the firmware, i.e, modem files. There's no OS.

I tried few stock 26S, best rom still have Google Play service crashed every now and then (which you can live with it). I have not found the one that no crash yet.
Finger print detection seems to work better with this firmware/modem than the 23s. I have not encounter any problem with RR-N after installing this firmware. Thanks.

Try flashing older firmware from other stock debloated roms like Cuoco92/iaureel/Cris etc..
I don't have firmware link try to find out or if someone could share it here to help him...?

Guys I was on the exact same situation, very annoying google play services has stopped message and was Desperate and I've tried many roms too
Then Small EUI v16b3 resolved this problem, you should try it

Hi, try removing the fingerprint security by changing the Screen lock (Settings>Security and fingerprints> Screen lock) to Swipe instead of pin or pattern security. This requests confirmation and conveys that the fingerprints will be removed. Once done. Give it sometime and then try add the fingerprints.

Downloaded but then got cold feet. Want to know what's new with it before going through the hassle of installing. I don't have space to back up on my phone so would lose my current set up.
if its not nougat there is no point in installing another eui beta

Nothing much to report. Still January security patch.They added loop scrolling of homescreen pages to the launcher. Made the Live button in the dock the same size as the other dock icons. Added a couple of extra stock wallpapers. Absolutely no good reason to try this one as far as I can tell.
One problem now - having restored my backup, it no longer recognizes my 4 digit passcode. Fingerprint works, but not passcode. Any idea what I can do about that? Or am I screwed until I reset? @andr68rus do you have any idea? I got same problem in main custom rom after installing eui rom as secondary rom in multirom (but worse because couldn't get in to the rom at all)

Boot to recover, then go to advanced, file manager. Then from the root go to data/system and delete the 3 files with locksettings in and the gatekey (or something like that) file. The you can unlock by swipe or fingerprint.

Use a file manager with root permissions or TWRP and go to /data/system and delete or rename the files starting with:
locksettings*
gatekeeper*
This should remove any security on login.
From TWRP go to data/system and delete gatewaykeeper and lockscreen file(5 files total). Reboot. Setup a new PIN.

Thanks guys, but I got round it by an easier method - rebooted, didn't use fingerprint, just swiped up and got a "forgot password" button under the keypad. Log in to the LeEco account and it wipes password & fp and you can get in the phone and set afresh

I recently flashed lineage OS 14.1 onto Le Max 2 (4GB, 64GB version). Everything works beautifully, except the fingerprint unlocking. I was able to register fingerprints. However, whenever I tried to unlock the phone with fingerprint, nothing happens. The interesting thing is that if I placed my finger onto the fingerprint scanner within say 5 seconds after the screen was turned off, I can sense a vibration, and the screen was turned on unlocked. If I placed my finger after that time period, nothing happens. I am wondering if there is anything I have done wrong. Thanks very much for your help!

Does flashing this modem affect the sim functionality? On which rom did you flash the chinese modem?
I have checked many lineage os 14.1 versions (N 7.1.2) with lemax 2. In all of them I faced many network issues, such as network and mobile data instability, apart from fingerprint recognition failure. ANyone got a pure stable rom with N7.1.2 for lemax 2.

i second this question. i want to buy the x821 with full lte support for my country. does flashing the modem change anything about that?

I have a similar issue.
In my case it doesn't even give me the option to register any fingerprint, although there's a fingerprint scanner on my phone.
I'm using a Sony Xperia Z5.
Can anyone help me?

It works very very well, with a new camera app that includes a better HDR mode, along HDR auto mode, quick setting toggles, and lot of features and optimizations

This rom do not have Google service or Playstore, its stock China rom. A lot of Google force close when you install Google service and Playstore. FC seems never stop so it's headache unless you can stop the FC.

I am using open gapp pico, all Google apps work perfectly.
I deleted some apps in ROM that I don't like, now it's pretty clean for me.
There is a small problems that, when set to English display, some menus are not shown correctly, looks those menus are in Chinese and not translated to English.
CBG 28S v2 also work fine for me, it come with Google service and Playstore, debloated most Chinese apps

I am surprised you have stock recovery, I thought that zip is not real stock, so I was able to use tWRP to install that zip. normally tWRP cannot install stock zip.

Tried practically all versions of Google Play Service but still no luck. Keep getting the Google Services had stopped message. Removed the Google account and added it back, then I got the Problem in Communicating with Google Server. Had to revert back to 026S and wait for the official OTA update.
Hi. I updated my phone to Oreo. I rooted it with magisk v16.0. The root works perfectly, but I am, constantly, getting an error saying that the xperia actions and some other apps stopped working. Can anyone know how to fix it? The info appears and disappears immediately. It's annoying as hell.

No, I didn't. The apps that stop working constantly are: xperia actions, firmware update and messaging app. The info shows up and disappears in a split/second.

I forgot to add that I have systemless xposed installed. I don't know if it may have something to do with this issue.

I have never had problems with xposed. Besides I have it installed, you don't. We are using totally different builds, but still we have the exactly same problem. So maybe Magisk is causing it.
I fixed my problem with crashing apps. I simple updated xperia update center apk and the apps stopped crashing. Here's a link.

having the same problem with all pie roms. messenger and whatsapp keeps getting closed in the background, also doesn't give me notifications. I made them "not optimized" in battery optimization but it didn't help.

As far as i know ghosting problem is related to older firmware, try to update that as well

2. Malfunctioning core gapps
3. Maybe a hardware related problem
4. Restoration of apps using titanium backup
5. Wrong Wake lock blocker settings which prevent phone form waking up on critical wakelock such as gmscore wake locks, which will definitely results in delayed notifications (tested by myself)

Here's my situation:
1. I placed latest global firmware I could get my hands on. I'm not sure was it beta or stable.
2. This is a GApps issue?
3. I'm pretty sure it's not since I came from Havoc 2.0 just 2 weeks ago. Before AEX 6.1 it worked normally.
4. I used Migrate to restore apps.
5. I don't use any wake lock blocker whatsoever

I will go back to MIUI 10 tomorrow and see if the problem remains, it will make sure its a pie rom problem.
