Non root Automated hibernation, force kill apps?

I always rooted my phones and enabled "automatic hibernation." I am a bit confused, as now I don't root my new device. If I use Nova Launcher, and enable the "double tap feature" to use Greenify's "Hibernate+Lock screen" shortcut, i see it cycle through active apps and closing the windows. I am confused, is it Force Stopping apps? or is it hibernating them? Doesn't cycling through each Active app in turn reduce battery?
I currently have aggressive doze enabled, and was wondering about enabling this shortcut now too, but confused.

Disable google play auto-update in Marshmallow

I have update my Z2 on the latest 23.5.A.1.291.
I want to disable auto update in Google Play but the "Auto-updates app" option under the Google Play setting menu shows only two possibility "Auto-update apps over Wi-Fi only" or "Auto-update apps at any time. Data charges my apply" and the option "Do not auto-update apps" is not present (was present in all the previous versions of Android).
The only way i have found, is to go to every single app, select the top right menu and un-select "Auto-update" option.
Is there a way to do it in a shorter way ?
That's weird. I have all three options available.
Here it is.

Battery Saving Tips

I updated my A710FD to Marshmallow and after applying following steps,I am getting very good and stable battery life. Thought to share the same with other people who are interested in battery saving:
Go to Settings > More Connection Settings -- Switch "OFF" nearby device scanning.
Go to Battery> App Power Saving DETAIL -- Select SAVE POWER as "ALWAYS" for games and other app which don't need to keep running in the background.
Prefer Dark Theme for phone.
Edit app permissions individually. Deny them as much permissions as possible.
Disable or Uninstall the apps which you don't use.
Switch Off some of the "Advanced features", which you won't use.
Disable "Vibrations" and "Touch Sounds" .
Let me know if you know some other tricks to save the juice !
Turn off autobrightness helps a lot

how to close Whatsapp?

I decided to install Whatsapp to see what's all that hype about, and after using it for a while I was kinda terrified - it is impossible to close this application and it seems to bypass some system restrictions, so basically it is a legal trojan type malware.
- there is no function to "logout" or close Whatsapp from inside the application.
- the usual "swipe away from Recent Apps list" does not close Whatsapp.
- when I long press a Back key, a message "App killed" appears, but nothing happens - Whatsapp still works. WTF?
- Whatsapp is not listed in Settings -> Developer Options -> Running Services list. WTF x2?
- When I press "Force Stop" in Settings -> Apps -> Whatsapp, nothing happens. "Force stop? if you force stop an app, it may misbehave" - I press OK, but "Force Stop" button is still active and Whatsapp still works. WTF x3?
- later I disallowed a "Start at boot" and "Run in background" permissions in Privacy Guard and rebooted the phone. the recent apps list was empty, but as soon as I enabled internet connection I received a few messages in Whatsapp - so in fact it started at the boot time and was running in background. WTF x4?
Privacy Guard shows counters "denied 45023 times" and "denied 6 times" under "Run in background" and "Start on boot" permissions respectively, but it does not seem to work - Whatsapp starts automatically after reboot.
I have never met such an application before - which is impossible to "Force Stop" and which could evade the long Back key press. Also Privacy Guard seems to work for all other apps, except Whatsapp.
so, did anyone noticed the same behavior, and is there a guaranteed way to close Whatsapp and forbid it from running automatically at the boot time or when I connect to the internet?
*UPDATE: i found Whatsapp in Settings -> Developer Options -> Running Services list -> Show Cached Processes, but pressing "Stop" button there did not help too.
Just uninstall it
