I've tried a couple of scan-to-PDF apps on my G5 (running Nougat), and both of them seem to randomly crop out large chunks of the pages that I scan. They're standard A4 pages, but often only 60-70% of the page is scanned - the rest is cropped out (even though the whole page is in frame when I snap it).
The apps I've tried so far are CamScanner and Google Drive.
Any idea why my scans are being cropped incorrectly?

They're multiplying!
Although the .jpg files appear only once in the file system, pictures appear multiple times in Gallery.
Currently I have three instances of each picture.
For a folder with 100 .jpg files, the corresponding album in Gallery lists 300 pictures, each one appearing 3 times.
I imagine there is a simple fix. Like deleting an index someplace, and letting Gallery reindex all the picture files. But where might the index be?
Deleting .thumbnails folders, as suggested in some other threads does not resolve the issue.
I know that this is not really a Tab question but since I have one, I thought that I would post it here.
I would like to have my huge photo library stored in the cloud and accessible from an app such as Dropbox, Minus or any of the other similar services. The problem is that the file size of most of my photos is a couple GB per image. I do not have an unlimited amount of storage in my Cloud accounts. Also, I do not need to be able to access full size image files when simply viewing them on my Tab.
Has anyone found an app or service that will go through a library of images, resize them to something appropriate for viewing on a 10 inch tablet and create a new lighter image library that could be stored in the cloud?
In order to be useful, this should be a one-click batch mode process and have the ability to update itself as new images are added to the full size photo library.
Has anyone seen anything like this?
I look forward to being enlightened.
Bob
Title says it all. The app supposedly has support for viewing iWork Pages files on Android, but it doesn't work. It gives me a big zoomed out page and when I try to zoom in it vanishes. Any ideas? I can supply a .pages document if someone wants one.
Hi,
I own a Samsung Galaxy S4 with CyanogenMod 12 (12-20150420-NIGHTLY-jfltexx). I've been using the standard Camera app (reports itself as com.android.camera2, v2.0.002) for the last few days with geotagging enabled. When I open a photo in Gallery app and choose "Show on map", it does indeed open Google Maps and show the photo's position correctly. But when I download the photos to my computer and try to use them anywhere else, like in "photos" on Google, it cannot recognize the geotag. I checked with some EXIF viewer if it has some GPS data written in the EXIF header: no latitude and longitude data, only two fields: GpsImgDirRef and GpsImgDir which are meant to store the direction where the camera was looking.
My questions are:
Where is the geotag stored? Is it somewhere in the file (which sounds obvious) or maybe anywhere else? I've just browsed through the source code of Gallery app and it seems to use Cursor and some queries, which seems like some database/SQLite stuff? I didn't dig deep enough to find out exactly.
How can I retrieve the GPS data for all the photos at once or - which would be best - save my photos with a proper, standard EXIF fields for GPS data?
I'm attaching one of such photos. When I choose "Show on map" in the Gallery app, it shows Google Maps with these coordinates: (60.908626,7.212069).
Any help will be appreciated. Thanks!
I almost have the SAME problem with my Galaxy S4. The phone itself stores EXIF GeoTag location in decimal with maximum precision, whereas the image transfered to PC shows coordinates in degree/min/sec format WITHOUT fraction of seconds, which misleads exact position to be set.

Any help is appreciated.
I have noticed this for the gazillionth time now that every once in a while (not sure whether a new app/system update triggers it) my media files (images and videos) are sorted in a messy manner within Instagram and other social apps. It's like when you want to send an image to a friend through Instagram inbox, and browse through the files, you see them arranged in a format whereby old stuff shows at the top and the newer pictures that you just downloaded are either somewhere in the middle (for which you have to initiate a search mission) or located at the very bottom. Either way this is frustrating and I am really looking forward to find a fix for this. It merits a mention here that the gallery app itself does not have this problem as all files are perfectly sorted in there but all social media apps (fb, insta, snap, twitter) mess up every now and then.
Highly anticipating a working solution!
Thank you.
