I have the same phone, may I ask why aren't the GAPPs enough? I don't think the LG power x comes with LG Stock apps. I'm other words. Google Photos, Google Chrome are the stock apps.

Hello. Rooted phone is required for this
The primary step would be to find a lg firmware that has the same Android version as your phone and which has those apps which u require. Then extract that firmware, copy the apks u need (There maybe .odex files or some lib files too. If so then copy the entire app folder. U can skip .odex files by picking up a deodexed rom of another lg phone as it will have only .apk files) from the firmware and copy to the root of your phone. For example if u pulled an apk from "/system/app" folder then u must copy that apk into the same location on your phone and set the permission as rw-r-r .If lib files are present then set the same permissions. Reboot phone and open the app. It would be installed and should be in app drawer. If u get force close notifications then u need to have logcat knowledge for debugging it.
Good luck

Hi there, I was wondering if anyone had some information about the Google Music android app.
I've got it installed by default on my transformer tablet.
Now, my question is this:
Does the app actually upload any music from my SD-Card even if I haven't told it to upload anything (If that's even possible).
I ask this question because if I try to delete a song from my device, the app tells me the following:
""[SONG TITLE]" has been sideloaded and uploaded to Google Music. Only the sideloaded items will be deleted. Do you want to delete them?"
Where [SONG TITLE] is the song I'm trying to delete.
I don't have the Google Music desktop application installed, and if I look in my "Music" library on Google there are no songs.
This makes me kind of wonder... Does Google actually store my music in a place where I can't see it?
If it does, how do I delete the stuff on their servers? Is it even possible?
/T0y
I get that same message in google music on my Nexus Android 4.0.
I think that message is wrong and they will probably fix it in the future. I think it just deletes it. Nothing was or will be uploaded to google.
Same thing happens to me on 2.3.6. I'm surprised more people aren't asking about this - it does seem a little suscious.
Hello!
Recently Google has removed a lot of Snapchat apps from the play store, including Supersnap which I use.
I am switching from my LG G2 to Xperia Z1 and would like to transfer the app, but neither phones are rooted and I can't download the app from the play store anymore despite having purchased it.
The APK is locked to ES and Astro won't back it up, can I pull it via ADB or do I need root for that?
If anyone else has the app, could they maybe back it up for me and send me the APK until I can get a hold of the dev?
Or does anyone else know of a good snapchat app that lets you send pictures from your gallery, keep and download retrieved snaps?
Hi everyone,
A few days ago I got the new Facebook UI with the built-in video player+auto-play, It's very laggy (every time it auto-plays videos) and it's impossible to download the videos. I really don't know what facebook developers thought when they decided to make such a terrible update. I want to downgrade to an earlier version that still have the option to choose a video player (and download the video) and more important without the auto-play function.
How can I do it? Which version to look for?
Thanks

Depends on whether or not your phone came preloaded with Facebook. If it did, you would uninstall the update in your Settings / Applications (or Application Manager, depending on the phone) and then make sure it's not enabled to Auto Update it in the Play Store.. If it didn't come preloaded with the phone and you initially installed it from the Play Store, then go to the Settings / App section again and find out what update that is, and Google for the Facebook apk and find the newest one that isn't that one that is giving you issues.
I successfully installed older version with the old UI, but I still can't get it to pop up the video player selection :/
I dunno, I don't do Facebook really, and I have no clue which version you installed, so yea...
Have you seen this?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2102232
This is so annoying, I successfully got the video player to pop up, but after a day it stopped working. The Facebook didn't update, it's like in-app update that can't be blocked.
Use this then download messenger and freeze the messenger app using your favorite program to freeze apps like lucky patcher or android tuner. Now you can download videos and use your inbox without using that stupid messenger app. Press thanks I'd I helped you out
i have a few apps which have updates in google play store.
on my tablet which is rooted i can use Titanium Backup to detach it from the store but it re-attaches it a few hours later.
i'm looking for a permanent way to keep it detached and never be in the update list.
also have the same thing for an app on my Samsung Note 9 which i want to stay on an old version and never update but as the Note 9 is not rooted i see a problem there. its Samsung Health (S-health) and its linked to my watch and syncs online so i cant use a resigned version as that breaks the online link.
as my tablet is rooted i have full access so can edit or delete anything. ive tried renaming a few files hoping they would break the google play store link but its still there.
can i just delete a file to remove it from google play store? which file? where?
thanks

It's not that hard, but you will need some tools. Basically you need to look up how to decompile and recompile apps. Then change the package name in the Android Manifest and then resign the app.
I use regular apktool.jar, but you could try something like apk multi tool. Then to resign the app, Venkat Kamesh has an excellent signing tool for free download.
Once the app name is changed and it is resigned it will no longer be connected to the play store. It also could be illegal, but I think you'll be okay as long as they're for personal use and you're not redistributing them.

Hello, I want to install other apps other than the ones from Samsung Store, I wonder if it's possible to port/convert apk app to tpk and install it on the watch. I have Samsung Galaxy Watch. I can already sign and install tpk apps using sdb to the watch, but I want to install apps like reddit/discord/tiktok.
If i remember correctly, there was an app for the Z-series of Samsung phones called AndroZen which did exactly that. I dunno if it can run on a Gear S or Galaxy Watch though.
If you test it, can you attach a photo or video of it in action. I'm really curious to see proper phone apps running on the Galaxy Watch.
Too bad i just installed Android on my Gear S, i would have tested installing .tpk files on it, because i thought it only was able to install .wgt files.

I tried running Androzen apps, it just keeps on loading forever, and because of watch's resolution the app layout is a bit messed up, I didn't make any photos, maybe I will try to install it again and I will make some photos then.

Oh, that's unfortunate.
I remembered about one more thing, but it was an online service kinda thing, Polaris App Generator.
Here is a demo video of that: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jXnzBJzMIQ4&ab_channel=κΉμν
I really doubt it still works. Tizen was pretty fun back in the day, tbh. Plus it was realeased around 2013, so Android 4.2.x. I don't think there is much support left, considering it's not even 4.4.x which is still somewhat supported, but mostly on the way out.
