Hello folks,
I have seen numerous guides about switching internal storage with internal sd (mostly for Ideapad A1000) but this piece of sh*t has internal storage (1GB) and nand flash (12gb), not internal sd. This makes its vold.fstab different from all the guides i've been through so i need some help as to what to change in this file.
I have uploaded my vold.fstab here: https://pastebin.com/xj4R6eJM
P.S. My second option is Link2SD as per this post: https://forum.xda-developers.com/ch...de-increase-internal-memory-link-app-t3360148, but i'd prefer the vold.fstab method as it seems a lot cleaner.
Thanks in advance.

Hello I have tablet Eken T02A and i have a very big problem with it. The internal memory of the tablet is 4GB and i have 16GB memory card Class 10. The OS is ICS 4.0.3 and when i go to STORAGE i see INTERNAL STORAGE 504MB, another INTERNAL STORAGE 2,59GB and EXTERNAL STORAGE 15GB. I tried to instal a few gameloft games and there is no space left and i can`t move the apps and games to the EXTERNAL STORAGE because in the /mnt directory the REAL SD card is named extsd and the part of the internal storage is called sdcard. I read in few forums that someone must modify the vold.fstab for my tablet, but i can`t do it alone. I tried to change a few things in it and each time i reflash the tablet. I will provide my original file and i hope that someone can change it for me. Just to swap these 2.59 GB with the real SD CARD and the sdcard became 15GB and extsd to became 2.59GB.

I have a custom-made rooted MTK6575 based phone, and it has internal storage of just 127MB and an external SD Card of 8Gb.The Phone spec is 512MB
I want to swap these two and tried all the ways I found from the forum such as
a. Modifying the vold.fstab and vold.fstab.nand
b. Trying out External 2 Internal with Universal Init
Both did not work out.
Upon check the /mnt folder, I realised that there is only one sdcard folder. The internal memory of 127MB seems to be shared with the 512MB and there is no mounting script that I can find.
The only effect I have gotten is from modifying the vold.fstab.nand file. If I change the sdcard to sdcard2, my sdcard will not be seen under storage and only the 127Mb internal storage will be seen.
Anyone can help ? :crying:
Hello everyone,
I've got a question about the memory of my phone. It's a Wiko Cink Five, equivalent of Micromax A116. I noticed that the memory of my phone is partioned into two parts : internal storage (only for apps) and phone storage (only for medias). To have more space to install apps, I tried to swap internal memory (where I can install only apps) and external sd card, but the result was that the sd card was read as phone storage, and phone storage was read as sd card. So I had a big phone storage, and a small sd card, but it doesn't solve the problem of my small internal memory.
So my question is : is it possible to merge these two internal partitions into one, to have the possibility to swap this unique partition and sd card ?
For example see the screenshots of this guy (in the second post), doesn't he have a unique internal storage, with apps and medias ? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2764336
Ps : Sorry for double post, I have already posted with a bad title. And sorry for my English, I'm French

I already did it... But it doesn't change the fact that this partition is reserved for apps, is it possible to make a single partition with apps + medias ?
i found some similar thread but nothing comes with specific answer, so i decide to post a new one.
device : Acer Iconia B1-A71
is there any way to swap internal STORAGE to internal SD ?.
or swap internal STORAGE to external SD ?.
i want to play a game so bad, called 千メモ!【つなゲー】サウザンドメモリーズ [RPG].
bcz this game consume internal storage so much, it needed about 1GB or more, but internal storage is only about 800MB more or less.
and it always says insuficient after many times download and failed.
this is sucks that this game consume internal storage instead of internal SD / external SD.
so, is there any way ?.
thanks in advance.

First thanks for taking the time to help me out..
Okay, so i have a been trying to port Huawei's EMUI 3.0 4.4.2 Kitkat, the Jiayu G4S and so far everything else works great except I can't seem to mount my internal sd anymore... The Jiayu G4S comes with an internal memory of 16gb of which 4gb is used for apps and 9.6gb is used as the internal sd. So far the ROM appears to have used the 4gb as its internal sd+internal memory for apps and the 9.6gb partition is no where to be seen
In CWM recovery mode, mounting usbstorage/ mounts the 9.6gb with no option to mount the other partition...
I've tried editing the framework-res.apk storage_list.xml to match stock rom but didn't work..Any way, below are pics of the partition table? as it currently stands..
the 9.6gb is the one am trying to mount:
port's storage-list.xml
stock storage-list.xml
opening sdcard1 shows a blank page and emulated shows two folders
1. folder '0' (opens the 4gb partition)
2. folder 'legacy'( still opens the 4gb partition)
mmcblk07 is currently serving as the sdcard0...internal storage and internal sd. Another thing to note is that while the 4gb partition is ext4, the 9.6 one is fat32.
So what am i trying to achieve, to set the 9.6gb partition ( mmblk0p8) as my default Internal SD and the mmblk0p7 as the internal storage for apps and nothing else..just like in the KitKat stock rom.
All help is greatly appreciated..Thanks..
bump?
anyone?
SOLVED IT!!!
okay so after a really steep learning curve i managed to do it by replacing everything in my ported boot.img's init.ssd with that of the stock's init.no_ssd.rc
Mod can safely close this thread...
