I should probably mention that this ROM has the same bugs as LOS .
Any screenshot guys?
Does MHL video output work?
"a combination of unmatched stability, performance, battery life..."
y'all keep using that word, i don't think it means what you think it means. As we all know LineageOS is not a very stable ROM and not that great in battery life. AFAIK this ROM is also based on LineageOS and carries the same bugs as LOS. Yesterday I had LOS on my Z3c and the phone went very, very hot... After a few minutes I had to shut the phone down by using the Power+Vol. up combinations. And while I pressed the buttons to shut the phone down, half of my screen went black and I was frightened that something would happen to my beautifully working 2 year old device. Later that night I changed to a stock ROM and decided that I shouldn't use LOS anymore. So this ROM is based on LOS. I see that it has a few customizations to it. But hey, what's the catch?!

7 hours of SOT on LOS. Its a 2600MAH battery and thats probably the best you can get out of it. Meh, unrealistic expectations. Not to mention your device is 2 years old. Batteries degrade over time.
Stock ROM is developed by Sony, and they get paid to develop it . Its a full time job. Whereas the AIM and LOS developers have done everything they can in their free time to make it stable. From my experience, I haven't had a single FC or Reboot on me. I should probably also mention THEY DONT GET PAID .
I would agree on one point. LOS is not for you. Youre probably better off using stock ROM with greenify and other apps that limit the functionality of your phone while promising better battery. Have fun
And as for AIM? It is a ROM . It offers more customization over LOS . If you dont want it , please dont spam my thread. There are others who are more interested.
EDIT: Covfefe

BC if you don't want it then go away
Shoosh.. Nobody is forcing you to use it.. Nor to look at it. Why wasting time to degrade ROMs ?
Developers bust their ass to bring up good ROM .. If you don't get good battery that's your device problem
. not ours. Coz each and every device have different battery ..
And the features..
We are (probably me) not gonna add any kind of junk/****/spammy features.. We are only adding features thatoat peoples use everyday. So don't expect highly bumped ****.. If you want highly costumised ROM then go for RR or crdroid like ROMs.
And most of all . you don't even helping anybody to develop or supporting its maintainer. So you better shut your ass and go away.

Magisk Module for Xperia Z2 / Z3 / Z3c Torch Boost
[Sorry, this is a bit OT, but might be interesting for you on this thread.]
Last week I made a small Magisk module which increases the torch intensity. I placed it in the Magisk section on XDA, but so far only eight users have downloaded it, so obviously only a few Z2 / Z3 / Z3c users are looking there for new modules.
Therefore I decided to inform you here about this module. I think that quite a lot of you are using Magisk and probably want a brighter flashlight too.
You can find the thread with the module and further information about it here: [Magisk][Module] Xperia Z2 / Z3 / Z3c Torch Boost v1.0
If you want to leave some feedback about this module, please do this only on the module thread and keep this thread here on topic. Thanks.
Hello panzeroux, I like to see it again with excellent production on its part, I will wait for the Bluetooth to work properly to install its ROM.
Cheer up!

Hum thats a nice rom for a nice device; oh wait, my device is great, yours is mini lololol
congratz bro =)
I'll ask here the same here if you don't mind, as i won't be able to test this either soon myself... cann someone using this confirm if:
1. left/right cursor arrows are immediately shown when using keyboard (think so as it is a cm feature but in carbon for example you have to press a button first to see them)
2. is it possible to always show volume panel expanded
3. is it possible to assign long-press action to nav bar buttons to show volume panel without using hw volume buttons
4. can date be shown is status bar
finally recovery included in the rom is still cm one right? so twrp image should be flashed apart with rashr?
tia
Finally! SlimRom for our Z3C! Yes!
BTW: Did anyone managed to make Sony Camera app for CM based ROMs? Stock camera (Android camera) is horrible. Too much noise.... (yup, i lost my DRM keys and im forced to stay with stock FW with DRM mod)
EDIT: "Error executing binary in zip" FAILED.
Flashing via TWRP.
@moly82
1, as far as i recall, cursor keys are not shown immediately. there is an option to enable volume keys cursor control ( tbh i deleted the inbuilt android keyboard and use super swiftkey by djdarknight).
2. no. not at the moment but as stated in OP "SlimLP is currently in alpha/beta stage, some settings are already in place, much is still missing and it will come with time" so it may be a feature that's included at a later date.
3. you can assign long press on nav buttons to perform numerous tasks, unfortunately not the task you request.
4. Yes date can be shown in status bar.
and yes recovery is Cm, however i recommend flashing fotatwrp by kyasu https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95916177934529111 apologies i assumed most people with unlocked bootloader would have flashed this by now.
cheers
MOTHER****ING YES!!
Been waiting for this almost a year already (since I bought the phone from day one!!)
@Carach_CZ
Ive flashed this rom 5 times or more and never experienced any issue. if your still having problems flash the fotatwrp from here https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95916177934529111 via fastboot or flash using the app "Rashr" from playstore
cheers

same here! the long-awaited ROM finally arrives!! awesome! thanx @AnGrY sCoTsMaN! will report if any bug/s found(IF there's any!)!
cheers!
@AnGrY sCoTsMaN
Thanks for your hard work!
I have a question before flashing - how is this ROM doing in terms of battery life? Also, does the Ambient Display feature work on our Z3c?
Thanks in advance!!
Awesome, working great so far. Thanks so much.
WiFi disconnects quite a bit - had the same problem with cm, but cm seemed worse than this. This is so much better so far.
Vibration sensitivity control is missing, I understand this is alpha, so that feature is probably coming in the future - but just thought I'll bring it up.
Cast button on quick settings doesn't work, but then it never worked with any other rom on this phone anyways.
The compass in quick settings doesn't work, is there a way to calibrate that? Looks like another cm issue anyways.
None of the above is suppose to be feature request - just hoping to help u make this awesome rom better.
Thanks again - my new daily driver.
My first boot is taking about 10 minutes now, is that normal?
Cheers.
@flintfirewalker cheers for the feedback. Yeah some features we usually expect from slim are still missing but I imagine slim will implement them soon enough. I only noticed the WiFi dropouts last night myself but will look to see if there is a fix. As for the compass, it appears to work in my quick settings, whether it's calibrated correctly is a different story.... I'm sure there will be an app to help calibrate it. I will stay on the look out for update and fixes. On the plus side... The dedicated camera button now launches the camera lol
Sent from my Xperia Z3C using Tapatalk
Hey you're right, the camera button launches the camera... Sweet. Been missing that feature since I dumped stock. The button doesn't take pictures or focus at the moment, but very promising so far. I'll be checking this forum frequently for updates.
Some bugs I've encountered:
1) when activated in power menu, airplane mode cant be turned off the same way (the button is "stuck"?), I have to turn it off from phone settings
2) when connected to the magnetic charger, celullar coverage gets destroyed and you cant get a signal until reboot
3) changing dpi causes play store to not display modal messages (like the one that shows app permissions) and recovery to fail (its not readable at all)
4) some apps fail to be updated, for example dashclock, need to uninstall completely from rom and reinstall from play store
5) battery life is awful (or maybe i´ve been to comfortable with stock amazing batt life)
6) screen rotation acts up (even though is disabled, desktop and app drawer still rotate), maybe is a launcher issue
7) NOISY camera (but thats to be expected)
All in all, a GREAT first release. Thank you so much for the time invested and for the port, I hope you keep updating and maybe become a device mantainer
Some requests:
1) slimsizer, I use it a lot (i like my rom to be MINIMAL)
2) a good kernel recommendation (battery life on this one is just sad)
On another note, do any of you have any apps broken since lollipop? Some of my favorite games dont seem to work (might and magic , platinum solitaire, bejewled are some of them)
I´ll keep testing today and report back any bugs
@daha2002 I would check our setup!
1, nope,working fine for me.
2, cant confirm as I'm at work right now.
3, nope,working fine here
4, hmm OK I'll look into it
5, fair play battery life not as good as stock, but you've not been running the rom long enough for a true evaluation of that.
6, nope, works fine here
7, yep

sorry for off topic question, but why haven't you published validus builds for z3c?:silly:
I wouldn't call the battery terrible. Yes , it's worse than stock, but it's pretty good for custom rom.
I'm guessing once the WiFi disconnecting problem goes away and maybe with another good kernel in tow, the rom battery will be as good as the stock.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Is this Android 7 (Nougat)?
A: Yes, this is Android 7.1.2
Q: What code is Oct-N based on?
A: This version of Oct-N is based on LineageOS 14.1
Q: Why isn't there XYZ feature?
A: Shoot us a Suggestion if you want to see something added. While we are not going to promise to implement, we will always look into it
Q: But all the others have..
A: ROM developers, build something they want to use. The ROM developer that includes something they won't run implies less than 100% effort to ensure it does work. As a team, we have similar goals and objectives. If XYZ ROM has a feature you want, and we don't include (or don't want to include), feel free to use XYZ ROM, or build your own custom version of Oct-N.
Q: What about root?
A: Root is removed by default (user will be able to flash which ever root zip they want)
Bugs:
Bugs happen. Our testers are very good at breaking things, but no where near as good as the rest of the Android public. In order to investigate and fix issues, we need the help of the users who are going to report them. The Android OS has many nifty features to help us in this, but only if we can engage the user to assist us.
Logs, Logcat, and the Android Debugging Bridge (ADB)
Like any other OS, Android has multiple log files that are generated and record the goings-on of the system. As a user, you have two basic ways to view and pull these to send to us. Without the information in the logfiles, there simply is not a whole lot of information to go on.
Log file APKs
Team OctOs recommends SysLog from the Android Market. This application will allow you to selectively pick any (or all) of the system logs, compress them into a .ZIP file, and allow you to save, email, move to your Copy/DropBox/Cloud Storage account, etc.
ADB Logcat
The Android Debugging Bridge (ADB) is a powerful tool available from Google as part of the Android Software Development Kit (SDK). Used for many things, being able to selectively see, in real-time, what your device is doing cannot be downplayed. While there is more setup involved, if you are doing consistent ROM flashing, you really should invest the time to get setup properly to do it.
ADB Logcat tutorial here: How to create a logcat log
The foundation of the Android OS is the fact that is it open-source. They have all code we use internally in the creation of Oct-N available on our GitHub repositories.

Wow.
You aren't sleeping at all ?
Thanks for this, giving the flasholics their fix, very nice!!!
Just what I needed to calm my nerves
Absolutely gonna try this ROM right now thanks a lot.
How is this compared to your RR?
Also it says it has SuperSU installed but in your questions it says no root.
At the risk of looking silly. Wut?
Second edit: Figured it out. The changelog you linked to is outdated. The newer version has no SuperSU.

Sorry switched roms so can't post screen shot. But over 9 hours of use I got 3+ hours sot. The standby time is great too.
I just switched to this rom after being on Lineage for a long while. The setup was fast, worked perfect, and was very easy. So far everything works great. Chop for light works (although sometimes there is a delay) and so does the twist for camera. The only snag I have run into is that there was a quick random reboot when the flashlight was on. Other than that its been a really good start. I will update with any issues I have tomorrow. But so far so good. I love the nexus launcher!
The rom is great, the only problem is I'm getting errors with substratum.
Well I have to get RR bugs sorted out , but after that I will sync sources with Oct and publish

Ok so I can say this the battery life is great. I had between 10% to 15% more battery at the end of yesterday then I usually have and that was a fairly normal day with a few extras. I have not had any more hiccups with the os. This is my new daily driver. It looks like it could be stock and everything seems to work. I don't require root because I like using Android Pay and I like Netflix. The best thing... It doesn't heat up in my pocket like LOS It all just works. Love it! Thank you for this rom.
This may happened to me because of having a very old battery, but I never got those "great battery life" results. They were awful. With heavy usage, i got 4hs of SoT and 6 hours of battery, that was pretty good. But on normal day to day usage, results were very, very bad. Most of the times I barely got to 2:30hs of sot and ~8 hours of battery life, and it drains fast. Guess I'll stick to good ol' and boring stock 6.0
I really liked the ROM, it has very good performance, I do not drain the battery. I was thinking of installing a kernel, but I do not really see it as necessary. The only thing I did was root, and everything is fine. Today all day I traveled, all day the BT connected to the vehicle, the network in 4G. In general the mobile surrendered me 12hrs the day, with 2:30 of screen.I consider q if it is for normal use, nothing intense, it goes very well.

About Project:
Citrus-CAF, unlike the name suggests, was initially based off CyanogenMod, in the early days of Marshmallow, we even had another name at that point. Later, taking into consideration feedbacks of the very first slew of testers and carefully studying the needs and demands of our users, we rebased the project to Code Aurora Sources, more commonly known as CAF. Time went by and Nougat released, and we decided that it was time, Citrus-CAF had to see the daylight. We rebased everything to the brank spanking Nougat released. Later we realized the true potential of CAF tags, how each of them altered the device performance on different SOCs. After a lot of thinking, we decided to keep different sources for difference SOCs in our git and hours of debugging later, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 was the first device to get a taste of our Tangy Nougat. In the beginning, it was just two people behind , but in time, a lot of people joined us, as each giving their own contibutions.
Citrus-CAF was built to create an amazing combination of customization, performance and most of the demanded features by our users, whereas we've Cardinal, to deliver minimal customizations, but the greatest stability!
Meanwhile, all of our Tangy sources are publicly available on our Github. We also do own a Google+ Community, where you can.... uhm... you know, do what all others do at forums and communities! (Just kidding, we got builds over there and a feature-wish bucket too ) Hope you enjoy your stay and taste the Tanginess of our work!

Initial Build
Will flash and report . Thank you for bringing this to POCO F1
Update the flashing instructions.
Pie vendor needs to be flashed prior to flashing ROM, GApps and Magisk.
Anyway, got a couple of questions and was hoping if you could please answer them.
1. Is SeLinux set to Enforcing?
2. Does this ROM have battery drop issue on reboot like all other Pie based custom ROMs available for Poco F1?
Great will download and flash

When I set to dark this appears
Very fast and smooth ROM ??
Few things tho:
-dark theme is pink ?
-finger sensor is not very accurate/sensible and miss quick unlock
-haptic is bad. We get the strange keyboard behaviour, not always, but clear regression compared to miui or even Los ? sorry
Other than that, ROM is lagfree, and again real fast ? nice nice nice
H.

Thanks,
Again, this is totally constructive feedback. ? ROM is smooth and you have a new fixed follower/user ??
Keyboard is now better (after 1h use) , there may be some interference with CPU load or something. I will wait a bit longer to see if it remains like it is now, but if yes, it's all good
That said the fp sensor is really not sensible. I will try to make a calibration again. But it fails currently to recognise half of the time ??.
Again, thanks A LOT to have brought this here for Poco. Really rocks the hell of it ???
*If you need at one point any logs, I'm willing to help. Just ask
Hi, thank for the rom.
Right now what im facing is When received notification while my screen lock. It takes time time to unlock.

Try it with a couple of reboots and notice the battery percentage before and after.
Had some issues with having sim in slot 2. (SIM operation failed) just moved it in slot 1 and all is back like it should be

It's an AOSP rom. Plain android with a customisation tab in the settings somewhere. Included customisation options as a list is something that would be more helpful imo.
Edit: A brief list of that is avl on TG.
Just installed , very smooth and beautiful ROM

You have to hide magsik my friend.
Happens in rooted phones even in stock rooted !
Long live 5t ?
How's the included camera.
Been noticing that most cameras on 10 for the 5t do not support 60 fps recording, regardless of resolution.
Anyone who tried it, does it have swipe navbar to activate one-handed mode, or notification ticker in the statusbar?

Just flashed! Rom looks good and runs as buttery smooth. Small request to add gaming mode.
I installed this yesterday and so far, my first impressions are really good. I'll see how it goes into a more long term but I'm really liking the tweaks done to the UI and how the system behaves.
It's so far right up my alley with ExtendedUI.
Very well done. ?
I have installed it yesterday. Stable and clean ROM. Thank you for your efforts.
My feedbacks:
All sensors are working & stable.
Always on display is working (only when notification comes) (It looks good with edge lighting I loved it)
Lift to check phone feature is not working. It would be good to see always on display screen when phone is lifted. Like OOS.
Led notification was not working. I figured that under Settings --> Custom Restirictions you need to uncheck "Don't blink light". It's working now.
Face unlock is gone.
Didn't test battery too much but today after full charge: Screen time: 4 hours (1 hour gaming, 30 mins navigation), Battery: %31

Hi, maybe this question is a bit "off topic", but hey, I'm sooo stuck and I don't know what to do.
I have seen that you are making several ROMs, and I have been trying to compile several ROMs for a while (Paranoid Android, Lineage 18.1, AOSP Extended ...) but I have a lot of problems when compiling, since I don't know how to put the blobs / device tree and when I compile it, it gives me errors like "aosp_gauguin.mk not found" and things like that.
If it's not too much to ask, do you know of a guide that explains well how blobs / device tree works?
Because most tutorials tell you "add the blobs and run in the terminal this: lunch aosp_gauguin-user", but of course, if I don't know how to put the blobs / prepare them well ... that falls apart right away ...
Anyways, thanks.

Of the 3 new roms, I've only tried Ten X, but so far it's working reaaaly good.
What camera app is in this rom? Is it possible to install stock camera app from miui to this or any other custom rom?

I try it too , it not bad . But not thinking to go to Nazuko
I just flash Nazuko, I have problem with sound. I have Redmi note 9 pro 5g, no notification sound ,no calls sound, when I play something on Youtube it the same , no sound at all.
I have this problem on one more rom Project Sakura..
can someone help me to solve this? this rom looking good, nice tweaks, thats I like the most.. but can not do noting without sound, can even hear message from Telegram or something else..
I try restart phone to try to fix this with sound , I get notification :
SYSTEM UI ISN'T RESPONDING
CLOSE APP
WAIT
also it takes about 5 minutes to boot and then it show black screen , I can not unlock it for two three minutes
file transfer not working, I try to put another rom on sd card and this came up
Very cool ROM a lot of tweaks. The most that I Sean so far .
I can only change the color in notification bar.. I try ores and hold one hold screen ,change to different look and color but stay black....
When I turn phone, unlocked it, after ten second it restart it self .. every time this happen, evey time even if I restart it, unlock it and after ten seconds restart him self again ..
