My LCD has been replaced at the lab with a new one that I have ordered.
The lab is not responsible since I gave them the LCD...
The problem is that the touch is not working well, meaning - when you press some place on the screen you the phone recognize it in somewhere else below or up that point.
I have entered to the function test menu but I only can see there the problem with no way to calibrate the actual touch of the physical point to be match to the recognized point.
It very difficult to some thing this way...even to dial.
Is there any way to fix this problem?
Thank you guys...

could anyone be able to help me? im using HD2 normally with android 2.3.4. however recently my touch screen have has a problem is that when i turn off screen by pressing the end button, after that i turn on that screen and u know i couldnt slide to go the main menu . but if the screen turn off automatically and u turn on it immediately, u will slide and use it. So, yesterday i decided to up to another ROM to solve it, but when i did it the screen is changed that situation and that situation worse and worse until now i cant touch to screen. who could give me some cures for this disease. cheers for that !!!
btw, i did up to wm6.5 and nothing had changed ...................................
uppppppppppppp............... help me
What ROM are you running on Android? AND are you NAND or SD??
Sadly it has nothing to do with the rom loaded on your phone. The end button is right on top of the ribbon cable for the digitizer. Your phone needs a new digitizer. I had the same thing happen to me. You are not alone and its a common problem. I would say Its actually a fault in the HTC design since the end button puts direct pressure on the digitizer ribbon and eventually its becomes damaged. I have a new hd2 now, but I use button savior on android. It allows you to use a the touch screen to press the end button.
thx for ur advice . probably i have to buy another screen once (.

Hi,
I've tried a number of firmwares Europe/Asian/T-Mobile and my local Telstra Rom. But no success.
I replaced my smashed digitizer and LCD the other day, however everything works great, the touch response is inverted - Left to Right. All touches on the left side are responding as if I'm touching the right side of the screen. Everything in the middle is fine obviously but from there it's mirrored.
It's quite possible that because the digitizer was bought from the USA and its in a Telstra (T8697) phone, it's somehow incompatible.
By bootloader is stating the TOUCH is C1(v66)
Does anyone think they may have a solution to this? a Registry edit or some kind of Screen calibration?
Cheers for any help.
BTW - The digitizer capacitive buttons are also mirrored i.e. Back is Search and Search is Back.
This digitizer also has a circle around the Windows (Start) button. My old screen didn't have this..
same problem
Hi gauge41,
I have the same problem :crying:. Do you have a solution ?
I bought my touchscreen on uk by ebay.

All updates have been done through Zune software without changes.
Best regards.

I've read somewhere, that there are two modifications of a touchscreen for mozart and they are not compatible, so if your previous digitizer didn't have a circle around windows button, but new one does, mirrored input is definitely because of that. Haven't heard of any registry tweaks to fix that, and I don't think you can fix it by installing different rom. You should probably get a compatible digitizer replacement or try installing different touch screen drivers.
I replaced my broken touchscreen on this device. But there was a serious problem, when i touched the screen on the right side, click on the left side works. Up and down working properly. It came out as a mirror image of tapping the screen to the left detergents. Seems to be calibrated, but I could not find it in the standard settings. Tell me how to fix it?

Looks like there are two different digitizers for TF201 so it's probably you have the wrong one for you device. More info: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1837997
Hey guys I have question.
My friend gave me his old G2 to fix and then give to someone who needs a phone.
The touchscreen functionality only works in the center of the screen and at the right bottom.
[Screen display is fine and no physical damage to the phone itself]
HTC told me they obviously don't do work on that old of a phone anymore but that I just need to buy a digitizer online, replace that and it should function properly.
MY ONLY QUESTION is... if it's the digitizer does that explain why the Home and Menu touch buttons don't work? [the back and search button do]
Thanks in advance.
I have screen problem with touch registering. There is kind of a dead line in portrait mode. It does respond to the touch but it eithers register touch upper of that area or lower or it. I confirmed that "dead area" with Touch test. I'm using Liquid Smooth ROM.
Is there and calibration app or what could be the problem.
Thanks!
Your digitizer is dying. The solution is getting and installing a new digitizer.
This has been covered countless times.
That was my first asumption, but its weird because it is recongnizing touch, but not in the right coordinations.
Just in case, before you dig in and take it apart, might try the pds fix. Has been known to help some.
Can you please direct me to that psd fix? Dont know what is it all about
Thanks
Not right now since the XDA search is apparently not working. Once it does, just search for PDS fix and you should be able to find it.
