[MOD]Camera Mod - Bitrates + JPG Quality [Camera 7.0.75] - Samsung Galaxy S8+ Themes, Apps, and Mods

MODIFIED S8+ CAMERA​
The mods are pretty much the same as here, Zero Camera Mod, a popular Modified S7 Camera app.
I have adapted the changes in the smali that are needed, but I don't know if you still need the acutal paid APK to control everything.
Just flash the zip via TWRP and you're ready to go, make a backup first if you wish.
Test it out and let me know.

Confirmation of the tragedy
@djb77 I just tested it on my G955F (Exynos Variant with Samsung Camera Sensor) and unfortunately :crying::crying: it doesn't work.. How do I know for sure? Not only is the quality the same, but also the Size of the resulting pictures\videos is the same.. When I had s7edge with zero mod , I observed at least an 50% (up to double) increase in the file sizes.. (because there is more information stored in the files).
To make sure I recorded 2 Videos (in QHD and Slow Motion) and took a Photo all of the view from my window.. than IMMEDIATELY flashed the mod.. and exactly 1 minute later (so the sunlight didn't change) from exactly the same position again the 2 videos and the Photo and compared the sizes and in MX player Pro the bitrates.. They are all the same.
*Note: The camera app remains the same; but also doesn't crash, so if I would have to bet, I would say no file got (permanently) replaced..
*Note 2: I am running on the Renovate 2.0 Rom with Jesse Kernel Stable 0.2 and AQCC Bootloader..
But thank you nonetheless for even trying! At least we have hope...:good:

What file ? The one u say didn't got permanently replaced . The app itself? I confirmed that indeed the app is the new one/mod one

The app version after Mod flash is: 7.0.75 ..Unfortunately I didn't check what the version was before the Flash(the one from Renovate), but it looks the same, has no new Settings (should it?) and as I said the Quality didn't change..so I'm pretty sure nothing got replaced..

did you also modify the MediaProfileRecorder.smali ? (I don't know how the new Nougat system looks like insider, but on Marshmallow there was a file somewhere else in the system, not in the camera folder, that GLOBALLY dictated the encoding bitrate on the phone, Zeroprobe PERSONALLY taught me this)

you might want to put a ''?'' after ''trial and error isn't it'' because else it sounds like trial and error is NOT the way to go.. We wouldn't want to convey that message to the only dev on this topic, now would we?

It's a rhetorical question. I do see what you mean though, I should have included one. It was part of a sentence in which I asked him to keep trying. So it shouldn't be too confusing.
Hopefully someone has a solution, I would love to have an improved camera. It worked really well on the S7.

Yeah, I have compared similar photos from my s7 edge with Zero camera Mod and my new s8+(obviously without mod) and I have to say, the s7 with Mod delivers better quality... now imagine s8+mod!!!!
EDIT: my s7 edge has Sony sensor and the s8+ a Samsung sensor, but I don't think the difference can be explained by this alone
