Losing mobile data after connection to Wifi - Xiaomi Redmi 3 Questions & Answers

This may have been covered but I can't find it. With the 7.1 roms, I connect to wireless and when I leave the wireless zone and the phone would normally shift back to mobile data, there is no mobile data until I reboot the phone. I have tried a few of the 7.1 roms and they all seem to do this but the MIUI rom seems ok? Any suggestions?
Thanks

Try AOSP-CAF ROM by Anikk. It's 7.1.1, and stable. If that disturbs you, I recommend you to go back to MIUI and wait.

I have rebooted my phone and i have HD2O 2.0.0 v18 rom that i have had on it a while now. I also have Android 4 that i run from storage card and i have done so for a while as well. I did what you said but the problem is still there. What to do?
Is the signal strength very weak, if so it could be hardware related & maybe wifi antenna connection issue which can be a problem for some;

[Q] problems with flashing roms

Hay everyone .
I recently flashed salmanrom v 4.2 and everything went fine until I was unable to use network data my carrier gives me. However, I could still connect to wifi.
I can still send messages and calls but I can't connect to the internet because I'm unable to to use my network data. I tested the the sim on another phone and everything worked perfectly even the network data.
I'm really frustrated someone help me please
Known issue with that ROM?
If not, flash a new modem.
If you are getting your network you should be able to use data tho.

Check and make sure your APNs are set properly for your carrier on the phone you do not get mobile data on.

Maybe could help a full wipe and re-flash the same rom...

That is excessive if fixing APNs might solve his problem. Plus, re-flashing the same ROM may not auto populate his APNs anyways.

[Q] Cellular Data not working no matter ROM installed

Hello powers that be! I'm a total noob and really wish someone would help me. I currently using an XT910 which was a gift from a friend in China. For some reason my cellular data (both 2G and 3G) won't work on any custom ROM. It only works fine on the Stock ROM slot. I've tried Mokee, SlimKat, LiquidSmooth and MIUIv5.
Whenever i go to the mobile network settings, i see the correct APN is selected but it just won't connect or even show the 'E' or 'H+' icons. I'm currently in Nigeria but i doubt if its a location issue.
PLEASE HELP.. I don't have access to Wi-Fi so mobile data is all i've got, Thanks in advance!:fingers-crossed:
Seriously? No one? Come on guys
Change preferred network type under mobile network????

I have similar observation. After first boot everything is ok. Phone connects perfectly. Next I reboot phone and I can see that phone is connected for 1s not connected for ~20s (looped). What I noticed: additionally Airplane mode switches on and off. All of this without any touch to phone.
I observed this in every KK ROM I tested. There were a few times that phone worked properly after restart.
I always install new ROM on SS Slot 2 that is wiped (system, data, cache, dalvik) before installation.
Today I installed latest MoKee nightly (02.19) - result as described above.

[Q] Wifi not working (g)

Hello, i'm flashed a new rom
[ROM] Dirty Unicorns 4.4.4 [UNOFFICIAL][BUILT-1](16-8-2014)
And don't have any problems. Currently in home i connecting to linksys, wifi mode is N. I visiting my mom it has router d-link 610, i suppose it has G wireless mode, so the question is following, when i scan any wifi connection, i cannot see her router, however all other devices perfectly see, Note 3, notebook with N mode. And i cannot understand why it's happening, may i should reflash "some" module, so it started to work.
It's currently blank, even if i put manualy SSID and password.

Thank you for answer, after some experiments i flashed bad rom (don't ask my how about 2 years of experience), hopefully fastboot still worked, i reflashed nemesis kernel, and after it , throught adb iterface i pulled to phone corrected rom. However, i decided to return to stock rom with flashtool, after all long time of manipulation of my xperia (about 1 year),
And now it's working almost great, however i'm still finding a good rom.
Also i did as you adviced me, still no results. By the way thank you

Super Weird WiFi Problem

Currently running the latest Pixel Experience ROM and it's solid overall.
But, I have experienced a super weird bug or glitch concerning the wifi and how it connects.
On the stock MIUI setup WiFi was solid and stable, didn't even have to give it a second thought. However, after rooting and ROMs the WiFi capabilities are seriously weird.
On both LineageOS and PixelExperience, whenever I try to to connect to my WiFi network, the phone takes down the whole network. And I mean the whole thing. It just tanks the network into restarting and I have no idea why. It should not happen, but it does.
And to actually connect the WiFi, I need to turn it on and off at least 3 times to get it to connect. But once it does connect it stays connected. It's pretty annoying when I go out and come home and the phone has to jump through these hoops just to get WiFi working properly.
I don't think that it has to do with the Pixel Experience ROM because I've updated it twice now and the problem still persists, so I'm just left thinking that maybe it has something to do with the vendor firmware that I used at the time when I was getting things set up.
Any thoughts? Would be a huge help!

Yes, most likely a Vendor Firmware issue. Try the latest.

Sounds good!
But quick questions, when flashing the new vendor firmware do I have to wipe anything? Or can I just download it and flash? And will flashing the new vendor firmware wipe my phone?
Thanks for the help again!

Just download and flash..no need to wipe anything. It will not delete your data too..
Edit: if your data not encrypted, you'll need to flash dfe (disable force encryption) as flashing vendor will encrypt your data.
