Any dev can tell me how to downgrade graphic driver to r2p4 in s3 rom?
I know graphic driver in kernel need to be downgraded, I just want to know which lib in s3 rom needed to be replaced.
I had replaced all libs in /system/lib/egl and libMali.so but after splash screen my phone ended with black screen.
So, pls hlp me because r2p4 driver runs game more smoothly compared to newer driver like r3p2, ....

Seems to have speeded up the scrolling on my phone and made it more responsive when i touch the screen.
I may be imagining it though.
Someone else try and let me know what you think?
I've cooked my ROM using it : my Niki seems to be a little more responsive than with the HTC one, but I haven't benchmarked it, so I don't know if it's my mind or the driver
In fact, since it can't be worst than original D3D driver, I think I'll keep it for a while...
I have try it...
and seems that it doesn't work
I use official rom ported to WM6.1
What do you mean by "it doesn't work" ?
My device has a ROM cooked thanks to jerpelea's kitchen, and when I mod the registry in order to use the Omnia driver, everything look OK for me...
CAb installed succesfully on my HTC TOuch ( ELF) with self cooked rom wm6.1 !
I perform benchmark actually !
Note : This driver is for the graphical ? or for the processor ?
Thanks !
It's a D3Ddriver, but a software driver...
I cooked it, not used the cab... Maybe the problem come from it ?
I heard that drivers need to be cooked, cant be just installed.
Does it work better? Or there isnt much diference? How about in 3d games?
Hi,
It´s possible to install this drivers in an original rom?
Thanks in advance.
Huiguita
I think we need to wait the NEw htc wm6.1 rom, and update our drivers
These driver will not work on niki because Omnia based on Intel Xscale CPU without video accelerator.
CPU in omnia can understand MMX instructions, this is the main reason it works very fast in video decoding (About 1.5times faster than HTC Diamond)
P.S. Doesn't work means thats there is no any differences after installing
So guys....have you noticed that our display driver doesn't work properly in 3d games??no antialiasing...no anisotropic filtering...low bias...is poor in quality of image...our gpu support opengl es 2.0....but it seems that is activated only opengl es 1.1.....i've modded ati drivers for a long time...so anyone if can provide me the display driver of froyo maybe i can work on it!!i want to try to make a better driver...!also i have the open source of lg....how can i "open" the kernel to see the code??i'm noob with android !
I think that you need is GPU drivers.
(Someone correct me if i'm wrong)
https://github.com/mik9/ThunderG-Kernel/tree/master/drivers/gpu
This's the source of mik_os's Kernel.
But you can use another kernel if you want.
Good luck.

I guess the new LCD driver is only to support a different panel found in newer devices
Hey,
I got a Allwinner Tablet. Hardware:
-ARM V7 1GHZ rev2
-1024x720 Display
- Mali 400-mp GPU
- Android 4.0.3
Its really good but the android is buggy - sometimes the tab closes down. And its a little bit laggy..
Now i found this:
http://arpandeb.com/03/2012/android...winner-a10-based-android-tablets-part-ii.html
should i try to build a custom rom, might it get faster and more stable? Or are there existing stable custom roms for my tab?!
Thaaaanks!
asdf?
NO Ideas for my problem? come on!
i have tried to built cm9 whith the original kernel , but it coldn't work,
just used the original boot.img and worked no screens,
i think that's the framework's probable ,or the init ,maybe the custrom configure
was wrong , i am tried to figure out
other statements? could you solve your problem?
Hello, I have cm7 running on my Samsung Dart. I ported this CM7 Rom from the Samsung Galaxy Mini:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1712654
It booted and got to the setup screen. The problem is that there are black lines in the screen and everything is cut up. I've been pressing things and everything is responding, I just ca't see it. What did I do wrong and how can I fix it? Do I need to change the filenames in system>lib>hw to match the galaxy mini's?
I used this to Port it

I would recommend replacing the system/lib folder in the Samsung Galaxy Mini port ROM with the system/lib folder of your Samsung Dart base ROM this way your ROM should have the proper graphic libraries and other libraries that should fix your graphic issues. I would also recommend taking a look at this guide that manually explains how to port ROM's.

Even though the guide mentions it for HTC devices it's still work a shot trying this fix for graphic glitches that the guide mentions:
Decompile framework.jar
Change these files with your base
smali\smali\android\os
Environment
SystemProperties
smali\smali\android\view
HardwareCanvas
HardwareRenderer$Gl20Renderer
HardwareRenderer$GlRenderer
HardwareRenderer
Personally I have had success with the guide following the exact steps in the guide I was able to port a ROM or two. Your other option would be to try and build for your device from source.
Hey guys
I'm totally new here and nearly a complete noob !
I got a ZOPO ZP600+ 3D phone with android 4.2.2 and kernel version : 3.4.5
Chipset is MT6582 Quad 1.3Ghz A7 with Mali400MP2 @ 500mhz ( I guess ) and 1GB of RAM
I have a problem( with the phone of course ! ) that is messing with my mind
I think its related to 2D rendering
all of the launchers are slow and they're not smooth . they're even slower than a simple dual core phone !
the default live wallpapers are running on slow framerate and laggy (somewhat near 10~15 fps)
and I tested a 2D game called "Line Runner" and it runs like slow motion !!!
I don't know what the hell is wrong with my phone .
I flashed a custom rom ( have exposed framework by default) and changes some settings and tested some exposed options but had no luck fixing the issue
I ran V6 Supercharger script but still didn't fixed it
force gpu rendering on developer options didn't help
I don't have any problems with 3D games and my antutu score is ~17400
( Rooted , Custom rom , Xposed installed , CWM Recovery )
please help me ;( , what should I do to fix this issue ? Its really driving me mad
Come on guys . help me out here
Nobody really knows what the hell is wrong with my device ? :crying:
I can try testing on mine to compare results. My Antutu is also 17000 +. What other test have you made with what score, I will put those on mine and tell you, so that we see if it is consistent, or unique.
I am on my stock ROM though, please note. Has it always been like this with you, even with the stock ROM?
