I went on to their website to try to request a firmware unlock code. The process did not work after inputting all the device info, and at the bottom of the site it says to email them if I had an issue, after emailing they sent me back the attached statement. Has anyone else run into this issue?
I just unlocked my 5x Friday afternoon with out issue. I made my account, filled out the required form and was immediately given my unlock code. Maybe you missed something on the form. I did have to google Huawei USA to find the proper site as the one linked in the TWRP thread is for Chinese only.

Oh yeah, I am in Oklahoma USA
Same here, unlocked two instantly..no waiting, within last 3 weeks, took some Googling but I too used the english site, my first tries burped me too something about it can take 14 days, but i went out and back in then had no trouble. Keep at it.
I'm assuming your device was carrier unlocked also? Mine was in English to, asked me for IMEI, model, and product id were among the fields I can remember. There was even a disclaimer before inputting the info stating that my warranty will be void and such. Guess I'll give it another go. Thanks.
Tried it again, I just had to pay close attention to capitalized letters while inputting the info, thanks everyone!
Just to make you sure, honor won't shut down the service to provide unlocking codes

Link to huawei unlock: https://hwid5.vmall.com/CAS/portal/...ndex&loginChannel=22000000&reqClientType=2023
1. you need to create an account if you do not already have one
2. after that you will have to agree to their terms which includes voiding warranty, etc...
3. When the screen pops up for you to input all your information, you must input everything exactly as it appears on your device. For example, in the Serial number and model fields, you must use capitalized letters because lower case letters will throw an error.
Hope this helps and good luck!

You need to pay 4$ to get unlock code through DC
ya seen that i thought he was mentioning the same thing any other new process but if there is no other process we need to use it as a last thing to get our bootloader unlocked.
I will go with that option if huawei no longer provides unlocking codes
Ya same here . hope huawei fixes the issue.

1. When you register, you can use the same password as your US account to make life simpler.
2. Use Chrome Browser since it will offer to translate the Chinese to English for you within the same window.

I couldn't get this to work either, the submit button didn't seem to like my browser. I actually created my account on my phone and it took me to a more friendly mobile site where I was able to follow the same steps to register, even selecting the activation link from my phone. Once registered, I completed the rest from my laptop.
How do I register with them since I have a US number and it does not give that option?

OK, picuture is much easier to troubleshooting
First of all, I would suggest trying this website using PC, not on cellphone.
Then looks like you are logged into English site, not the chinese site, your URL give above is correct, in that page, there does not have "MT2_L03" for the chinese site. Your read it right, there is no "MT2_L03" in the list. You need choose "Huawei Y300-0000".
superbass311 youtube video clearly showed it is using google translate, and you can see the URL is still "/cn/", double check yours when you are on PC.
Its definately the Chinese site.. Just translated with chrome..

I rarely use my laptops.. Generally do everything on a tablet.. So decided to try that... While on tablet/phone MT2-L03 was an option to select on the drop down but resulted in the error message I posted above... Tried from laptop and MT was no longer an option... Used Y300-0000 as suggested and I was immediately given my unlock code... Unlocking was successful and installed twrp from fastboot.. Time to play... Thank u xordos:thumbup:

What model phone you have? How many times did you try? Are the numbers correct? If so, try again. I have never seen that message before.

Don't bother with that unlock tool. I downloaded it and it didn't work on my PC at all. And I am not disabling my virus scanner for some 3rd party Chinese software. That burnt me in the past.
Instead get the bootloader unlock code from the official Huawei website. Follow my guide here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/ascend-mate2/general/guide-step-step-wind-mobile-canada-t3387490
1) Get boatloader unlock code. Its 16 characters and you must get it from Huawei. If you cannot get this code you can stop right here. Nothing online will help you and there is no way around it. Trust me, I tried.
Lucky for you Huawei make it very easy now and automated the process. Before you must email [email protected] and wait for them to reply. (from what I read.)
Now you can get it here:
https://community.gethuawei.com/developers/f/48/t/1048
Or direct link:
http://emui.huawei.com/en/plugin.php...amp;mod=detail
I logged in with my Facebook. But you can try to create and login with your Huawei ID.
After logging in, you need to give them these information to get the bootloader unlock code:
---Product Model: MT2L03
---Product Serial Number: From the box of your phone. Or you can open up your phone case and look at the sticker on the battery for it. It is 16 characters. (The Serial Number as recorded in your phone memory is only 12 characters. It is not valid here.
---IMEI: From the box of your phone. Or you can open up your phone case and look at the sticker on the battery for it. Or type *#06# on your phone pad.
---Product ID: Type *#*#1357946#*#* on your phone pad.
After you get this code, record it somewhere and keep it safe. Huawei will only give you this code a few times before they start to seriously questioning you (from what I heard). So once you get it, expect to never be able ask for it again.
(Rooting is unnecessary. But you must unlock your bootloader, which will be done in step 5 below. )

Double check to make sure all the numbers are correct. Refresh the verification code before entering and submitting. Once you hit submit, wait patiently and do not hit submit again. It is slow and takes a while.
If they are and it still doesn't work, maybe you need to email to Huawei after all.
It seem they are updating that system. When I did it a few days ago, they never asked about if the product is a Smartphone or a Tablet.
P.S. You should remove that image containing your phone's information. This is public space and you don't want people stealing that.

Hi! I just got my Redmi Note 4. I would like to get root access, and maybe install custom ROM, but I can't unlock the phone. When I go to the unlock site (http://www.miui.com/unlock/index_en.html) click Unlock Now button, fill all the gaps, check the disclaimer and click Apply now, I get the sms message with the code. Till this point everything is okay. But when I enter the code, and click Next button, I get this message in a poup window: 您所在的IP申请次数超标.. Google translated: Your IP application has exceeded the limit.
I tried already with 4 different internet vendors, on 3 different devices. I tried also with VPN (Hong Kong, and european countries too). I'm from Hungary btw.
Please help me, I googled this problem already, and I tried all the solutions, what I found, but still didn't succeed.

This can happen if you try too many times in a short time period. Maybe waiting for a day can fix it? Or else you can make a new mi account.
I think you wrote about another problem. If I ask too many times for the SMS code, the syytem sends a message in popup, but eith another (chinese) text, and I can't even get to the next page. This IP problem happened at the first time I ever were on miui.com page. I will try with a new Mi account.
Thanks anyway!

"This guide is usesless now.. Becuase honor is now not providing bootloader unlock codes... If you already have unlock code then you can follow the setups.."
To install Magisk and gain root in your honor view 10 you have to unlock your bootloader first.
##Please backup your data before proceeding with the process. You will loose all your data if you unlock the bootloader. ##
Please follow below steps to unlock bootloader
1) Create a Huawei ID on this page https://goo.gl/GkkdxE if you don’t have one already.
2) After creating a Huawei id, fill out the details.
3) You will need your phone’s IMEI number, to know that dial * # * # 1357946 # * # * on the dialer app. Fill the required fields and click the Submit button.
4) Save the unlock code you received.
5) Now connect your Honor View 10 to the PC with a USB cable.
6) In the ADB command window, type the following command to boot your Honor View 10 into fastboot mode.
adb reboot bootloader
7) To unlock the bootloader, type the following command and hit Enter. Replace key with the unlock key you’ve previously saved. For example, fastboot oem unlock 44801904392841
fastboot oem unlock [unlock key]
after filling out the details it takes me to an error 404 page

I'm already unlocked. I was searching for the other member. Thing is, the OP should update the thread.
Tryed to reach Honor on Facebook and Twitter. No reaction.
Any news on getting honor to respond and helping you unlocking the bootloader on the BKL-L09?
I'm based in the UK.
I tried registering on https://emui.huawei.com/
it has all sort of countries listed including the vatican but it doesn't have any European UK US countries. I decided to pick hongkong, and registered nevertheless.
The unlock bootloader link as seen on youtube video guides doesn't show up on https://emui.huawei.com/ and any direct link point to error 404.
I sent an email to [email protected] and surprisingly, as it's the only email address available on the whole website, my email bounced back.
I'm in the situation where I'd like to have the ability 1-2 years from now to unlock the bootloader without any fuss. I could even consider unlocking the bootloader and voiding warranty now for fear of this option disappearing from honor completely in the future.
But if getting an unlock code is not an option, or if it won't be an option in the future I wish there was a way to know now so I can return the phone.
Thanks

I tried with 5 different VPNs, and restarted many times but nothing worked.
I read around that probably i have to wait 72 hours in order to unlock my device, is this correct?
Anyway any kind of help is really appreciated.

It all end with either 86023 or 86006 error. We've got reply from official xiaomi Indonesia that stated the bootloader can't be unlocked anymore on official phone. It's weird because we're not bound to any specific carrier.
The only real solution is just to sell official phone and buy illegal unofficial phone from third-party reseller.
hopefully people at other countries still can unlock their phone

its simple, just download the file from xiaomi site, simply pick the recovery rom and put it on your phone
then from updater app, choose the option on top-right and select that file... it should be done in 10 minutes.
