Hello,
After a long time since nougat update has been released and sony saying that it will get 7.0 update, it happend to find out from a sony developer that due to google restrictions the XA ULTRA will NOT get the update. If this is the case it means that we have been misleaded as consumers once again,.

There is no official announcement from Sony on why we don't have Nougat but I can say that XA and Ultra are fully able to receive Nougat. Cheap devices like the Blackview Bv6000 and the Elephone P9000 have official updates to Nougat

I dont think that the problem is with the hardware but with some specif8lc speq that doea not meet google requirments. One more issue that seems strange to me has to do with android auto which says that can not be installed as it does not meet the reuirments

The XA series will get nougat till August 2017 ? they start to roll out the nougat for single SIM European version in middle of July this year and the dual SIM versions will have another month of delay

We need to wait a little bit more for 7.1,because even the 7.0 was delayed 3 months....in end of July all XA devices will run android 7 and we will receive also some minor updates because this version launched few days ago have some minor bugs.So the last update will be 7.1 (around November)and will be the latest update for this device.Android 8 oreo expected release in December will not work on this device because of low internal memory.

I wasn't expecting Android O to come our devices since Sony releases 2 updates for mid-range phones and 4 for flagships (except Z3). I hope 7.1 comes quicker than 7.0. Btw. touch issue is still here. After turning stamina on and off touch becomes unresponsive. I have to touch home button like 6 times to go home. After a restart, everything is fine until I turn on stamina. Sounds like a kernel issue.
Animations are faster and some animations (like lock and unlock) are gone.
I gained approximately 1gb of storage which is really great. Phone feels a bit faster. I do wish Sony made ambient display available for this device.

pls help
can anyone help me to install nougat for my 3211,pls i tryed 10000 times but i cant because it says no flash script found

Did you notice the lack of crt off efect or you have the crt off efect
Update is regional-based, which means you may not have new firmware in your area as soon as in some other, but update should certainly come after a while.
I got 2.3.4 on my Mini about two weeks ago.
can someone port it to XPERIA mini-pro 2010 ?(first gen) 2.1.1A.0.6 u20A

dude you don't need to unlock it. as its official rom you can directly flash it. as i did.
@majeet
i guess shravan already answered your questions, I already flashed my mini pro today with nordic 2 rom (don't try nordic 1, you will get crc failed error afater downloading the full rom) using the wootan client.
You will have to root your phone whose guide is already given in that thread only.
the only issue you will have is with the hardware keyboard & for that you will find the h/w keyboard fix link in that thread only.

well i don't even rooted. i have installed UK FIRMWARE, keyboard is as it is before. only other local indian languages like banagali, hindi gone. but we have HINGLSIH.
I updated with latest firmware and my device supports Bangla as well as Hindi language. Check screenshots for details. New firmware is cool though.
@shravan
uk firmware doesn't have hindi or begali support (as far as the info which i have)
i installed nordic 2 & i have it. Also, i guess UK keyboard uses qwerty-en by default, thats why you din't had any issue while I used nordic 2 & that's why I had to modify my keyprint.xml file
i guess arunava also used nordic 2 (or may be nordic 1??)

wp 8.1 update

Hello. How do I get registered for developers preview for wp 8.1 ? I have windows 7 installed on my computer.
And I have nokia lumia 920 simlocked, on EU, with black update installed.
Is 2 way to get it:
- with developer account ($19/year or free student account). you must install also WP SDK 8 to unlock phone with developer account
also if someone already have developer account can unlock your phone for free (every developer account can unlock 30 phones max)....
or
- or free with AppStudio
if you choose with AppStudio, go to http://apps.windowsstore.com/default.htm and sign in with your Live (Microsoft) account which you use on phone. check mailbox on phone and install cert from mail you received from AppStudio
After you have developer unlocked phone or you installed AppStudio cert, go to Store and install http://windowsphone.com/s?appId=178ac8a1-6519-4a0b-960c-038393741e96. Run after install and activate it.... and thats all

EDIT:
I saw this notice in a brazillian website, and the source was the The Verge (strong source):

Ive just bought a Lumia920 & should get it on the 11th April. Its unlocked & apparently new from a claim.
I'm a bit of a noob at Windows Phone with being under the claws of Android for so many years & have a question..
If im able to put this developer WP8.1 on my Lumia will I be able to install all the normally pre-installed Nokia apps? thanks
Or would it be better just waiting until Nokia release the 'blue'.

While the program is called Developer Preview, the actual 8.1 update bits are the same as the final version. It will be installed in exactly the same way as the update everyone will a few months later as an over-the-air update (so you're not flashing your phone and losing pre-installed apps)

LG G2, LG G3 and LG G4 To Receive Android Marshmallow Instead of 5.1.1 Lollipop

I can't post links yet but you can find this article on the front page of NERUOGADGET.com
It seems that the LG G2, LG G3 and LG G4 devices will not receive the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update, as some new rumors suggest that these devices will skip the latest Android Lollipop version and will jump directly to the upcoming Android M.
So, if you are an owner of a LG G2, LG3 or a LG G4 smartphone, you will still need to wait a few months until the device will receive the next Android OS update. We remind you that LG has also skipped Android updates in the past such as the Android KitKat 4.4.4.
The LG G4 is the latest smartphone from the G series and it comes with the Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box. Unfortunately, as we’ve told you above, this device will most likely not receive the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update, which we’re pretty sure that it will disappoint a lot of people. The Android 5.1.1 Lollipop comes with a lot of bug fixes and enhanced functionality.
Unfortunately, there are some rumors which say that the LG G2 smartphone will certainly not even receive the Android M version. The Android M version is already available for the developers as a preview version and it will most likely get released sometime in October 2015. However, not all LG devices will receive the new update and the ones that will be “lucky” enough to receive it will get it a few months later after the new OS will be released.
With other words, the Android M will be rolling out for the LG G4 sometime in late 2015 or early 2016, while the LG G3 will most likely have to wait a bit more.
Do you think that the Android M will be released for LG G2? When do you think that the Android M update will be available for the LG G3 and LG G4?

I know that the ones in the states will most likely 99% not get the update at all. After a few calls to my carrier they have even stated that it will most likely not get any more updates at all and there is no plans to even push the update for stagefreight (which is nothing more then fear mongering) But that is ok. Ill be running it anyway once it hit AOSP
The site didn't said where from did they read about 'new rumors', i don't even know where from did they get those informations, they don't have a source either so, we can just wait untill we see an official screenshot or leak, we can still hope but i doubt we will ever receive 6.0, g2 will be EOL and carriers will not push it because every major build needs bugfixes and then we'll need to wait for 6.x.x to release but it will be too late because of the '2 year update policy', so, i'd rather have a stable 5.1.1 as my last update than 6.0 with lot's of bugs.

Carriers EOL devices long before 2 years. The average time for carriers like ATT is around 9 months and then they EOL the device. Even if LG did send the update to carriers that doesn't mean we will ever see it. They send tons of updates to them that people never see.
this might be newbie question, but if Lg release android M for our devices, and carriers dont push it to our phone, can we still download the rom thought lg server? I mean, like KDZ for 4.4.2 or 5.0.2

Not completely true. They may still post it in their server but it would most likely be made for euro versions of the device that have no carrier branding at all. This how alot of devices get updated after carriers no longer support the device. You would be amazed at how many updates get sent to carriers that users never see from them

Hmm, I was assuming he meant the US carrier versions.
i was talking about the d802 model, so the european version
But if the update is on the LG server maybe someone can hack them, or just lg make possible to download the update from their server
If we have the international version, some modders might able to modify partition to make possible to flash on other variant
Am i right?

Android Pie confirmed for Moto Z2 Play

Hopefully the phones we have will survive long enough to have another update next year. https://blog.motorola.com/2018/08/15/baked-android-pie-coming-motorola/
Yey. Let's wait till end q1 of 2019 when Google starts to test Android Q for Motorola to get P ready for it's last year's phone's. Or do I have to remind you that Oreo was released end April/early May to the original Z play?

Yes, starting with the 2018 models, or maybe only with the Z3 since it's the most expensive ones. Or do you really believe that our one year old phone will get updates that quick? They are not Pixels and knowing the update strategy of Lenovo for the past couple of years and without treble we can be lucky if we even get it this year. or have you forgotten the Oreo update? And it wasn't even to 8.1, just 8.0
I am still on 7.1.1 Nougut. According to support, I am on the latest update. But on 08/31 they claimed they are behind, but it is coming soon.
Shouldn't the all be the same regardless of software channel, build number, SKU, Version, etc.? They are all Moto Z2 Play. Mine is even unlocked so I would think that would be a benefit.
Here are the specs from the "about phone":
- Moto Z2 Play - UNLOCKED version (carrier independent)
- Software Channel = "retla"
- Build Number = NPSS26.118-19-1-16
- SKU = XT1710-06
- Version = PVT1
- Baseband version = M8953P_23.33.07.34.01RALBUS_LATAMDSDS_CUST
- Security patch = February 1, 2018
- Android 7.1.1. (Nougut)

I had the update like in mid July, but it didn't take. It got all messed up and went back to 7.1.1
So I installed Oreo on the side and put Custom Rom on top of it.

Same here. I have no idea why my phone won't update. I have it unlocked and rooted with Magisk, but won't it still detect the update and try to download it? I just need to unroot first and flash it and it should be just fine I thought. But nope, still on 7.1.1 with the February 2018 security patch. I'm on software channel retus. Right now I'm not really too concerned with getting a new version of Android on this phone since everything is stable but I'd like to know why my phone never got the 8.0/8.1 update.

It depends on carrier. Although, if you ask them, carrier will say it depends on Moto; but truth is, it isn't. As far as I know, AT&T Latin America released (or it was Moto?) 8.0 Oreo in August, which has been already updated up to September, 2018. Next should be 9, but... Yes, 8.0 was released same time as 9 for Pixels, a full year after Z2 device landed. So, statistically, 9's OTA should be inside AT&T's Z2 devices, late in 2019. That would be another year, probably along with 10's appearance! but... Maybe not. Who knows what's in their heads. Point seems to be keeping OTA fans (don't count me in) eager as hell.

Is pie update coming or not? Or are there a custom pie ROM available? Would you recommend flashing ROM? I mean will it reduce battery or performance? Thanks in advance.
The Android Pie 9.0 update we get for Moto Z2 Play will be still on 32bit architecture?

So did they mean this Fall as in NOW? Coz I'm still on 8.0.0 as "latest" and seriously peeved considering these Z²s are pretty much vanilla Android to begin with
Mi A1 received Android 9 pie update and now it supports dual 4G + volte. Really shocked to see Snapdragon 625 supporting dual 4G and that too enabled with an update. And Moto doesn't even update their os to 64 bit.

For this device to be updated to 64bit, it would require formatting, users would lose all their stored data. How well do you think that would go over with the general public?

That is a fair point. Although it's fairly easy to backup data on a phone with SD card, not everyone will like it. I had Asus zenfone 3 which came with 64bit OS despite 3GB of RAM and camera 2 API was enabled so the Gcam and hdr+ worked without root. Thought Z2 play with 4GB RAM, better camera sensor and stock Android will be even better. I was wrong.

Question About T-MOBILE mobile data problem

I have encountered a strange problem, I am a T-MOBILE user using 10T, when I use mobile data to use WeChat, as long as the screen is turned off or after a period of time, WeChat will be disconnected to indicate that there is no network, but it is normal for other APPs to use the network . As long as I disconnect the mobile data on the WeChat interface and then turn it on again, it is normal, but the fault remains after the screen is turned off. (There was no problem using it before, but it only appeared in the past few days.) Later, I tried to replace my wife's SIM card (the same as T-MOBILE) and the fault remained. Then I replaced my friend's AT&T SIM and the problem didn't reappear. I want to solve why T-MOBILE's SIM card cannot be used on WeChat on 10T (but there has been no problem before. It just appeared suddenly these days), is there any way to solve it, change the frequency band?
I'm having similar problem with T-mobile after the latest update. I toggle airplane mode and everything works fine until I turn off screen.
Haven't been able to find a solution
It seems that it should be a system problem. I hope that an update will be released soon to solve this problem. Especially for Chinese, WeChat is too important! I want to downgrade, but ONEPLUS has not unlocked the boot, and MSM TOOL. I have always been a loyal user of OnePlus, (6, 7PRO, 8T and 10T) expressed disappointment with OnePlus.
I updated to 13 EU beta and everything seems to working properly
Thanks @saulh972, I tried it too and updated to 13 EU beta for one of my customer mobile, it working and customer satisfied for the solution. Thanks
I also tried to upgrade to the European version of Android 13 beta, but my 10T is the international version (CPH2417), how to upgrade to the European version? If I want to flash back to the international version at that time, can I?

There's an update apk. that needs to be installed in order to update. Not sure about flashing back I figured once the NA 13 comes i would just flash that.
My concern is that once you flash the European ROM, you can't flash back to the US ROM. I can only use 8T now, I hope OnePlus can update the system as soon as possible to solve the current problem. I don't think my next phone will be a OnePlus. Thanks for your help.

The GLO beta is out
I have upgraded to the beta version of GLO Android 13, and the phone model has changed from 2417 to 2415. I don't know if ONEPLUS will release the beta version of the US version of Android 13 or the full ROM of the official version of Android 13. And I noticed that the beta version does not have the option to check for updates, and when the official version of Android 13 is launched, it will not be able to update online. Then I need to flash back to Android 12 and clear all data. If I don't launch the full 2417 ROM, I can only use the 2415 ROM all the time.

on the GLO version just turn on developer mode and then you can get local install just like you could in the Oneplus old days on the NA version
Do not upgrade the C11 version. When I woke up this morning, the system automatically upgraded, and now the same problem occurs again. Are the engineers of ONEPLUS really eating ****?

Having the exact same issue here, SAME PHONE, SAME CARRIER, SAME ISSUE. Here's little bit about my timeline:
1. On Nov.5, I received my 10T, I get on hand and play around with it for little bit and at this time the we chat it's still working.
2. On Nov.6, the second day I have the phone, I updated it to whatever the latest version of oxygen 12, and since from now my wechat stop working when using cellular.
3. Two or three days after, I decided to install the GLO version of OxygenOS 13 open beta 1, and at this time WeChat is working again.
4. Yesterday, Nov.22, my phone has installed an auto update to open beta 2, and now my WeChat can't not run under cellular AGAIN!!???
I wonder WTH has the op software team done and I wonder did they really care much about their customers experience, not even mentioning that a weeks delay on my shipping and that out-date & misleading of that trade-in guide sheet. I wouldn't buy any of op phones again in NA if there are any other better options even like vivo or iqoo.

BTW I still have my old OnePlus 8 in hand so I test it out with the same sim card and running WeChat on that phone for a while and it's working fine. So this might be an issue just to specificly the 1+10T users with T-Mobile cellular network.
There is a way that can temporarily resolve the problem, which you can set up an identical APN in the setting, with only one small chang that you will need to allow both iPv4 and iPv6 active for the same time. I'm not a tech dude in this but yea that's the only solution I found for now. If you need help just reply my msg here and I will send you the figure in here or through WeChat.
How did you solve the problem? Please give me tutorial. Thanks!

Simply add this apn to your network setting, just make sure for APN protocol (APN协议 in the pic) you want to set IPv4/IPv6, not IPv6 only.

This could temporarily resolve the problem, but sometime the phone itself will switch back to the default APN which is what you don't want and annoying. If for some reason the WeChat didn't work again just go check back the APN setting and switch to the APN above.
