Has anyone picked it up or seen it (Not even sure Verizon has it) wondering if it adds thickness to the phone.

I am sure that the phone already has the capability built in to the stock battery cover. I just wonder if the extended battery caver will have the same capability.
I did see on the Verizon site that the wireless charging pad is available. The cost is $69.99. Here is a link to the site.
I don't believe it does, there are a couple reviews where they tried different mats and no go.
Yeah it has been shown that it doesn't have wireless charging built in. Unless you need a special pad. Would wireless charging work through an otterbox case?

I heard it was for the antenna. I think the Thunderbolt had sorta the same back.

I was under the impression all of the crap on the cover was for wireless charging, according to FCC documents. Why it won't work though with wireless mats, who knows.

I can tell you this, my HTC rep told us it is an inductive back stock, but it is not. I have inductive backs in my inventory room for it and I have tried it on our mats without and it doesn't work. All the connections you guys see are for the antenna, just like in the Thunderbolt.
You have inductive backs for the rezound? Do they add bulk?

Does not seem to make the phone thicker but from the pics on this website it removes the Verizon 4G LTE logo and the Beats Audio logo as well.

THE BATTERY DOOR THAT COME WITH THE HTC REZOUND STOCK DOES NOT HAVE WIRELESS CHARGING BUILT IN!
Tested and disappointed.
im more interested in whether the inductive charging works with a case on like the otterbox commuter
what about wireless charging on a PowerMat? or do you have to buy the mat from HTC?
Called HTC - The stock back DOES NOT support Wireless Charging
So, in the most effective manner possible (aside from watching videos stating that the included back didn't work for wireless charging, of course) a quick call to HTC support verifies that the included back on the HTC Rezound does not support wireless inductive charging. You will have to purchase another back.
The only one I've found so far is the same one mentioned earlier in the thread over at shop HTCPedia.com

Bought the extended battery at the same time as the phone, tested- it does not support wireless charging.

That looks like the wireless charging cover for the extended battery, correct?
Yeah I thought it looked kinda big too. Dunno.
Has anyone come across some sort of micro USB extender/adapter that will allow those of us with thick cases to attach our phones to the stand up type phone docks??? I know they make them, for IPhones as that's what I used to charge mine nightly when I had the otterbox case on it...........

You would also think with being micro usb cables are so popular nowadays, they would make a simular micro-usb extension that can be used with phones like ours. I ve done a little searching and havent come up with anything as of yet but maybe all of us as a team can come up with a solution to where our notes will fit in a dock if they have a thick case on them also. I thought this this might work, but judging from the one review I kinda doubt it!

I too have been on the hunt too for what you describe. I'll post back with any results.

I dont rock a thick case but i assume the charging port in he case is too narrow for a micro usb, correct?
Why not dremel the plastic off the usc cable? Not completely off but Enough so it can fit easier.
Sent from a big ass phone
There is a little micro usb cable head (just the metal) sticking out of the dock just long enough for you to sit your phone on so you cant really dremel it. I don't reckon its that big a deal anyway I just pull the power cord (its also micro usb) from my dock and attach it directly to the phone when I want to charge it and that works, just kinda defeats the purpose of a dock though. You cant dremal around the bottom of the case either for the usb part of the dock to fit the phone because the phone sits flush in the dock so you'd have to dremel the entire bottom off the case.
So far I'd contact Lindy and Startech. Seems they do a lot of cables and adapters. What we are looking for is Micro B female to Micro B male. I find Mini female to Micro B and USB A female to Micro B..... Plenty of Micro B male ends but NONE with Micro B female. There is Micro B female to Apple 30-pin adapters but then you'd need an Apple 30-pin female back to Micro B male. So the adapter would be like 3" or more long.... :-(

so does anyone else wanna bite the bullet on this and see if it works? I likely would have ordered one had I saw it first but I just ordered an oem mt4gs one from another seller (about 5 min earlier) and will likely just trim/modify it w/a dremel instead, but the on above would prolly be easier starting point if it doesnt work outright...
The issue isn't always an extender. A case may also make the device not seat properly into the dock... too wide to fit, or too think to line up to the micro connector.
The BEST solution as well as one that isn't available, is the case needs to be able to charge wirelessly... ie, it becomes the wireless charger receiver and it plugs into either the micro connector or the wireless charger contacts.

Check the SGS3 forums. They are doing it using a Palm Touchstone and a PRE backplate. But Samsung should be releasing the actual kit for the SGS3 and the Note 2 has the contacts for the wireless back.

I would check KVMSwitchTech. They offer quest a few USB Extender products for USB 1.1 ans 2.0 extensions.
Wow! Is there really still no solution for this problem?
I just got the standard dock last night, and it sucks that I have to remove the case every time, just because it's just barely not plugging in.
The droid Bionic with case fits perfectly in the dock, but the micr usb plug just doesn't make it all the way into connect.
I got this dock because I'm too lazy and didn't want to have to plug the micro usb cable in every time (well, AND because I like the idea of being able to have it sitting up all nice), and now, if I have to take the case off in order for it to work, I'm not gaining anything, and it's actually MORE work for me than if I just simply go back to plugging in the [email protected] cable.
PLEASE tell me that someone has found a little extender that we can put on there...
Has anyone tried using a Samsung Note II dock instead of the galaxy s3 dock for use with a thick case?
The width of the phone should no longer be a problem, just not sure if the depth will be OK so that the micro USB port aligns correctly with a case.
I have an Multimedia Dock EDD-S20EWEGSTD (for Galaxy Node II) and it NOT fits!

In case you haven't noticed...
This thread is in the AT&T Galaxy Note i717, i.e. the first generation Galaxy Note.
So what that #3 isn't 11pin, our Notes only have a standard Micro USB, so that is of no concern to those of us who are watching the appropriate forums for our devices.
What about a GoDock?
I wouldn't mind one either, but I would also be curious to know if anyone has tried out the GoDock smart dock system with those thicker cases? I'm thinking of picking one up to try. (it's made so the phone sits landscape rather than vertical and has a cable to plug into the micro-usb rather than a fixed plug)

What people want is an adapter that can slip over the existing micro usb tip and extend it way out so you could use it basically like a syringe for mega huge cases and so on.

Well, sure, but micro usb cables seem to be fairly substitutable. And until someone actually comes up with such an adapter that is easily available, one could use what I suggested...
Micro-USB-Male-to-Micro-USB-Female-Dock-Extender-Extension on Ebay. I just purchased one. The adapter fits my thick case just fine.
I found micro USB cable with long connector at https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=me=A142DL1QTQEVX9&field-keywords=micro+usb+long+tip that fits for my thick case (chinese edition aha ha ha) perfectly instead of original one.
Hope my experience will help someone.
Searched the forum and all I could find for car docks that work with the OEM extended battery was the CD mount dock (I forget the brand). That one doesn't work for me (tried it and had to send back, just doesn't work with my CD player/stereo configuration).
I'm in desperate need of a decent car dock (OEM, generic, doesn't really matter) that works with the Rezound w/OEM extended battery. I have a nice dock that works with the stock battery but doesn't come close to working with the bulk of the extended. Anyone have one they'd recommend?

What I did was used the standard iBolt dock that has all the plates and removed them. Works perfectly for me. Let me know if you want to see a picture.
I found the iBolt works best for me with the flat plate with no back...extended battery fits like a glove in that...shifts a bit without it.
The ibolt comes with three plates, one for the bare phone, one for a case, one with the OEM extended battery.
Craigsdock works with any of the above but it requires fixing the USB plug into one position, it's not easy to adjust it if you switch between batteries.
Awesome thanks everyone, will check these out when I'm home. Wish I would have posted this question BEFORE my road trip, hehe

I use the iBolt(OEM) it cost 14.95 on ebay (35$ cheaper then craigs) and imo, looks nicer(cradles phone like a glove) easier to use the plates lock-in-and-out with little effort, stays in place, comes with dash and obvious windshield mount. build quality is great for the pice comes with 3 plates, one for stock, stock w/slim case, and extended battery.

With my latest ibolt acting up on me (I got the free replacement that fixed the charging issues from the first gen), I'm ready to switch to something else. This one seems not to want to trigger car mode/AC Charging when it gets hot in the car. It works in the morning but not in the afternoon.
A lot of people here swear by the craigs dock, like I mentioned before, once you set it up for a battery/phone configuration, you're stuck with it.

Are the best charging cable I have found, unfortunately, through many trial and errors.
In my experience, with my phone, the charge rate for this cable is as good as the DK36 dock ( and I find the charge rate of the DK36 dock to fairly reasonable). Other cables i've tried like the aluminum LED one couldn't manage 1% in 10 minutes.
The magnets are strong and they snap snugly onto the phone, which can be a draw back if you use certain types of cases. It's more expensive than the other cables, but I think you're getting your monies' worth
A bit off topic, but does anyone know if it's possible to get a data connection via the magnetic port, or is it strictly charging only?

Charging only.
Warning for those using magnetic charging cables. There is a risk of the port breaking off and falling out. It has happened to me and others. The port is just glued onto the frame and will fall out if repeated force is applied to the port. I suspect heat from the charging may also weaken the adhesive. I have switched to the USB port for charging after Sony replaced my phone due to this design flaw.

Is anyone interested in a wearable battery extender for the Gear S? You can currently clip the charging cradle and still wear the watch, but the whole thing ends up being way too thIck. What if you could clip a thin charging plate that is attached to a "battery bracelet" that holds a second battery? The thin charging plate would be attached via wire to this battery bracelet.

About a month ago, I saw battery bracelets on Alibaba. They're meant (obviously) tmodifo change micro USB devices, but it may not be hard to modify.
I'll look in my history and see if I can find a link.
Good luck
We could probably modify something like this

Yes
Very very interested! Great idea.
I've have seen a colleague wearing charging cradle together with Gear s , because he thought it should be like this, this made me thinking about this too. I would prefer a clip on extra battery.
I just want a thin, snap on micro USB adapter that could be worn all day. That way I can just plug it in anywhere for a short recharge.
any progress in this idea?
I'm afraid the charging plate would get too hot to keep on your hand. I would love as @ronfurro mentioned a thin micro USB clip.
Actually the battery band posted earlier could be great. If we create a small clip on with a micro connection. Then all we would need is a micro to mini USB male ended adapter to connect to the bracelet.
