Hello,
Does anyone else having problems with choppy/laggy video in Kodi?
Tried to stream a 1080 movie with the mi box and it was horrible, streamed the same movie with my phone and it was exellent.
Is the mi box really that terrible, maybe 2GB of ram isn't enough?

since 3 days I have the same problem and device getting too hot in the mean time.
I have plugged a 500gb externel hard disc to watch HD videos, since that time device getting too hot and online movies are laggy.
Got tired of not finding an answer. Maybe it's because it's the chinese model, or maybe it's just crap.
Ordered the H96 Max yesterday and hoping for a better experience ?

Have you seen this one..?
https://www.banggood.com/H96-PRO-PLUS-Amlogic-S912-Octa-Core-3GB-RAM-32GB-ROM-TV-Box-p-1100082.html
Yes $110 at geekbuying,4GB/32GB Was about to order the pro plus but then I found the max, I think it's brand new. Scores over 70000 in antutu so it should be able to do any tasks without problem. The pro plus scored around 40000 if I remember correctly.

If the score is no fake, some boxes love to create fake benchmak tests.
I will give you the results when I recieve it ?

It should be a lot better than the mi box 3s anyway?

As you might know that all touch screens have some kind of touch lag which is basically touch screen panel recognizing touch and pushing that info back. HTC phones like sensation evo 3d have terrible touch lag around 100ms. I was wondering how is the touch response on S3. If you go into development settings and enable touch pointer or touch input or something like that to show touches on the screen, you can see the lag when moving across home screens or just swiping left to right. I just want to know how bad or good is the touch panel response. Does the touch pointer keep up with your finger? Iphones have the most impressive touch response. If you used an iphone, how comparable are the touch responses?
Thanks in advance!!
The S3 isn't quite as responsive in terms of touch lag as an iPhone but it's certainly no slouch in that department either. At the end of the day your best bet is to go in store and have a play with one and decide for yourself if it might bother you.
cool thanks for your input
A lot of the touch input lag is not caused by the panel but the phone sleeping.
The s3 has a hardware-wise excellent touchscreen, using it will get even better with Jellybean's project butter.
Note that a lot of the Ui latency is by design and caused by the animations.
On real tests such as described by the op, S3 is excellent.
But as the parent already said - try one =)

The S3 and the Note II both have atrocious touchscreen latency. They're even worse than the S2. The HOX has the lowest latency I've seen so far.
Mine is extremely sensitive..really nice and I don't notice any latency issues ..I have iphone 5 and s2 and gnex to compare to.

Please tell me you're joking, s2 had delays I noticed. I don't have this issue in my s3. I compare my phone with iphone 5, s2 and gnex ( also suffers from it). You don't know what you're reading

iPhone renders the UI with realtime priority. Whenever you touch the screen - everything else stops, e.g. the browser page stops loading. That's why it's so smooth. Android doesn't use this approach and tries to do everything at the same time
Oh and my wife's iphone 4 with ios 6 is the worst, feels like the phone is struggling against me

Wrong. Those are optimisations painstakingly implemented by the developers of each app. Android developers rarely care since they have bigger problems such as the app not even working on half the users phone models.

As a multi-platform developer I can tell you nothing happens automatically. Your app will stutter and freeze even on iOS if you don't optimize for receiving touch input at any time. Fragmentation is such a big problem on Android that even my simple app which is basically a list of items with a photo on the left crashes on all HTC devices but works fine on others.
The touchscreen input latency is a hardware + Android thing and there is nothing your app can do about it.

lag
Is the problem with touch screen delay/responsiveness (I am not talking about touch screen sensitivity) a hardware or a software issue?
Apparently the iphone 5 is around 55 milliseconds and the iPhone 4 around 87 millisec
Hey all,
I wanted to compare the Nexus 6p and Nexus 5 in terms of performance, so I made a video about it for anyone that is interested.
I must say, the Nexus 5 really put up a good fight...

Was the Nexus 5 force encrypted? Otherwise it was doing much less work while loading. The Nexus 6P is factory encrypted but it is optional on the Nexus 5.

I actually replaced the battery on my Nexus 5 and it really gave it a new life with respect to endurance. It is quite easy to do, so I would really recommend it.

Actually I'm thinking of buying Plantronics BackBeat Sense to use with Le Max 2.
Btw monleylord, Do you see any kind of indication on task bar when you pair your aptX Enabled Headphone?

I have just obtained simple, not aptx, BT earphones Awei A920 BL. They pair without problem and play but there is no information in what mode they currently run. Oh and they do not cooperate with Kodi but this may be Kodi problem.

Is it not possible to find out if it's connected via Bluetooth SBC or AptX?

Bump (to help)
Not an owner of the device (yet), but if you're rooted you can check logcat for what codec is being used.
Install catlog, establish a connection and it should give the information.

I don't think you can use a cable. Early on, there was talk about a build.prop edit that could enable Miracast. I never looked into it as Chromecast works for me. Kodi can be installed on unrooted Chromecast. My mistake. I have it installed on Fire Stick.

I'm pretty sure that doesn't work. I have that set-up for my old Galaxy Nexus (the HDMI adapter isn't with me atm), but I would be using it with my N9 if it had worked. I can test it out next week. We use hubby's iPad mini 2 to connect directly to TV when traveling and can't use Chromecast.

I brought back the connector (https://www.amazon.com/Adapter-Supported-Samsung-Sensation-Rezound/dp/B006FTKM12) last night but will try it on my old GNex (which is currently charging) to make sure connector is still functional. Then I'll test N9. I'll post back by 8pm edt.
I'm sure all of this is pointless. I finally located the info re HDMI and Nexus 9 (https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/nexus/tAmu4gd8S0U;context-place=topicsearchin/nexus/Nexus$209$20and$20hdmi). It's hardware--not a matter of no software connect (like N4 and usb otg) for an included component. On N9, the hardware isn't included.
MHL absolutely does not work. I'm certain slimport does not work, but I'd never purchased a slimport adapter to actually try it.

Can you clarify this comment. I have the original Chromecast, and I see no way of installing apps on it. Was that added to the 2nd gen Chromecast?

After trying to locate the info I used, I realized that I had installed it on my Fire Stick, not on my Chromecast--which is also a 1st gen. I edited that post to show my misinformation. However, I did locate some YouTubes that might help you stream your Kodi to Chromecast. Maybe you already can do that.. This might work, but also read the responses from users. This is another.
A coworker of mine recently upgraded from an M4 Aqua to an Xperia XZ1 and she misses a certain metal ringtone, a form of guitar riff or something.
Could anyone be so kind as to help us with extracting said ringtone? We would be very grateful.
