[Q] Getting magisk hide to pass safetynet in miui nougat? - Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 Questions & Answers

hey everyone, just a quick question and really wanted to see if anyone had a solution. trying to get safetynet to pass on the global dev rom of miui and sadly i keep getting the red x with cts profile mismatch, googled around and found that changing the fingerprint to a global stable might help but that didn't work, as well as the starting magisk hide in terminal. anyone got this to work?

Pokemon GO on rooted device

Hey guys,
Since latest update (v0.37.0) of Pokemon Go, rooted devices users are blocked from entering the game. See this article on xda-dev.
The only (known) solution to bypass this is to follow this guide : http://www.androidpolice.com/2016/09/11/guide-play-pokemon-go-0-37-rooted-android-magisk/
BUT...
It seems that flashing Magisk-v6 modifies kernel or something because on Mokee's CM13 ROM, i don't have GPS or internet data anymore.
If i restore boot from TWRP, GPS and internet are working again, but not Magisk.
Is there a CM13 ROM for Kenzo (usable as a daily driver) that works with Magisk?
There is another alternative by chainfire, but need the latest systemless supersu v2.78 SR1!
It is experimental and may not work for everyone.
Also I don't think it works with xposed!

Thanks for your help! Since it won't work with Xposed, i will wait for a stable release.
It's good to see that Chainfire is involved.
That's good news. will give it a shot sometime. If anyone tries it before please let me know what you did and how it went
If this gets a stable release I might give it a try. I'm running official CM13.0 btw.
Okay, latest stable release of CM13 official works perfectly with Magisk-v6 on my Kenzo.
But to play Pokemon Go 0.39, systemless Xposed need to be disabled (so a reboot is needed).
Plus, SafetyNet Helper app returns "false" to the "CTS profile match" test. So i guess Android Pay won't work.
i just stoped playing since they forced me the update
no harse feeling. wasnt fun anymore anyway
was lvl32 and used pokemon go controls to get to the nearest city 25km from my house since there is nothing around me.
i played once a day toke gyms back if they where taken thats all .
anyway i dont miss it to much trouble to get it working no worth it

Working Xposed Module/Version For Redmi 5 Plus?

So, I've tried the latest v90/v88.2/v88.1/v89 and flashed the olt verify zip. But I'm just keep getting stuck in bootloop. I'm on MIUI 9.5.2.0 NEGCNFA(China) Nougat.
Is there anyway to get Xposed to work? I've dug around the forums for resources, but none of them seem to work. Any possible resources for me to try out? Thanks for any help in advance.
P.S: I do have the latest Magisk installed, which means I have full root over my device.

[POCO F1] Network indicator not working.

Hello guys, XDA has come to my aid since my childhood but this is my first time writing here. I have Poco F1 running MIUI 11 Global with Seshstation Kernal. It's rooted with Magisk and I have Edxposed installed. The problem is after I flashed Seshstation my Network indicator is stuck at 0.0Kbps. I have tried doing everything. As a matter of fact I installed CustoMIUIzer module just for the sole purpose of resolving the issue but unfortunately nothing is happening. I'm writing this after searching everywhere and having found no solutions. Even installed a Third-Party network indicator app, that too is stuck at 0.0Kbps. This little feature is very important to me. Hope you guys will try to solve my problem as soon as possible, think of it as "Welcoming me here".

Question Hiding root without magisk support

Hi everyone,
Wanted to see what everyone's thoughts are on the chances of hiding root going forward now that magisk has dropped support.
Will it be possible? What do yous think the timeline will be?
twrp does anyone think there will be a version released for the pixel 6?

Question Downgrade to miui 12?

Hi
I just got the Poco m4 pro 4g phone which comes installed with miui 13. One issue that bugs me is the dark mode individual apps in not working. They plan to fix it in update but that could be long time away.
I don't want to go down root method as need banking.
Would it be possible downgrade to miui 12 using firmware from different poco phone?
As there is no miui 12 for this phone.
Would that work or has anyone found workaround for the dark mode apps.
I plan on updating down the line back to stock miui 13 once they have fixed the dark mode.

Rooting should not prevent you from using banking apps. The instructions on this forum detail how to hide your root from apps. I use Google Pay, NatWest, Starling, and even Netflix (which is notoriously difficult to hide root from) with no issues whatsoever.
That being said, I dont think root would help you here - you'd have to flash firmware that includes MIUI12 but there'd be no need to root that firmware.
Personally I think you're out of luck, any firmware using MIUI12 for a different device will be way buggier than the dark mode on MIUI13 :/
