I am new here so please excuse me if this is the wrong place to post this, however I am in need of some assistance
I have a Samsung Galaxy TAB3 10.1 - GTP5210
I encountered the little android flat on his back, so I have downloaded a number of ROMS that were applicable to the device and used ODIN (different versions) to flash the device. ODIN says it has been successful and the device reboots only to be confronted with the Android flat on his back. I have even tried downloading the JellyBean and KitKat kernels, and used the odin .img to .md5 bat file converter; this also failed.
I appreciate that the tablet is old but it is my daughters and would really like to fix it. There are no option to do recovery etc, I use the power-home-volume down button to get into download mode and then locate the md5 and use odin to flash it;
I would be extremely grateful if someone could help me, as I am at a complete loss as to what to do.
Thank you all in anticipation of anyone replying
I don't think you're going to find a lot of help for a tablet released in 2013. I'd Google "dead Android" with whatever version of Android you're running and see what the Internet tells you.

Good evening, thank you for your response, I kind of searched for that on the internet that has how I came to be here; as "the internet" says use android with the correct ROM and kernel..
So was hoping that someone here would be able to assist, for example could I use a later ROM what kernel do I need?
I have no idea what version I am using as it does not tell me in "download" mode
Also do I flash the kernel first and then the rom or vice -versa
I am not even certain whether I have a partition or not? I am assuming I do given that when I install the ROM it appears to accept it and then just goes into continuous loop.
I appreciate that the tablet is 3 to 4 years old but I would have thought there would still be support out there for it.
Oh just one other thing, I bought a new battery for it and replaced that, just in case it was that.
thanks in anticipation of replies

I was recently attempting to root my father's new Verizon Samsung Galaxy S3, when I encountered an extremely heart-dropping fail...
I have ran into an issue of being unable to enter ANY OS or ROM on the phone. I had a stock Android 4.4.4 ROM on the phone, which I rooted with no problem. I then attempted to install TWRP (I used TWRP Manager (Root)) in order to install SlimKat. However, at this point I encountered an error. I attempted to reboot the phone into recovery mode using the app, and encountered a screen saying "System software not authorized by Verizon Wireless has been found on your phone. Please turn off your phone and go to the nearest Verison Wireless store for help.". I get the same screen when trying to boot the phone without pressing any extra buttons. I also notice red words in the top-left corner of the screen saying "SECURE FAIL: KERNEL". The only other screen I can get to is the Odin Download Menu.
However, when I try to use Odin, I cannot get anything to flash to the phone except the PINs for the phone (it is an i535 Verison Galaxy S3). Anything else gives me an error, as shown in this image: www(dot)dropbox(dot)com/s/mc6srpy5vhpb9of/nand%20fail.bmp?dl=0
Basically, I am asking if anyone knows of a way to try to restore even just the stock ROM to the phone. As of right now, it is in an unusable condition and I would much prefer if I could fix my father's phone. I will try to give any new info as requested and I am willing to try almost anything to fix it.
P.S. I apologize for the URL issue :/ . I cannot post links yet xD

My apologies. I did not notice a secondary thread for my model, due the time at which I was posting. Is there a way to move this thread to the correct place or delete it from this forum? Also, is this the correct forum for me to be posting in: forum.xda-developers. com/galaxy-s3-verizon/help
Again, sorry about the URL inconvenience.
Hello,
I know, my question is not new for the most of you and I think it is asked over 1000 times. I tried but I can't find the right working answer for me.
I have a problem, with my old Samsung Galaxy SIII GT- I9300 with T-Mobile branding.
Sorry for my english, but I did not found something useful on german websites but much useful in your forum, so I hope you may help.
The Phone is old, so I have no guarantee any more. I got it from a friend and for him it worked very well till now. It started with freezing on pages and the friend tried to recover the device and I think he did something wrong. The device ended up bricked.
Now, when I want to switch on the device it shows a white screen, with grey and black snow everywhere. Only thing I still can do is going in download mode, then it shows:
___________________________________________________________________
odin mode
Product name: GT-I9300
Custom binary download: No
Current Binary: Samsung Official
System Status: Custom
The robot picture

Do not turn off target !!

The friend who owned the phone said it is broken and buys a new phone.
I am new to modification phones and all things like that and I haven't got a clue what I'm doing, but I'm interested in learning and don't want to give up.
I read and read and read and looked at google and everywhere and the more I looked, the more different advices I found, but I don't know what will work for my device.
There is another problem, since I don't have a windows or Mac machine, I can't use odin. I work with linux, kubuntu 14.04 ( this is another project,I haven't a clue from, but I'm learning for fun) and I just managed to download JOdin3 Causal, working with heimdall-frontend 1.4.0-0.
I tried to flash firmware with one part and firmware with 3 parts, and I always get from Jodin: that the phone is connected, but there is no pit-file.
I added plenty of pit-files I found in the net, but Jodin said the pit-file was corrupt or broken or Jodin shows on top, left side: „running“ but nothing happens for hours.
Can someone help me. I think I need a firmware and the right pit-file for this firmware. What kind of firmware is not interesting for me, I just want to see the device come back to life again.
I found in the internet, that there is still hope, if the phone shows in odin mode a product name.
Because of this I think that my phone isn't scrap jet. Am I right?
Thanks in advance for your replay.
nina
No, your phone is dead. Try the dead boot recovery thread in general forum for a test but you will need a box.
Hi guys!
I own a Samsung Galaxy S Wifi 3.6 (Europe version) since december 2012. I actually want to give it a new life (it was my first Android device) by rooting it and maybe installing a custom ROM. While searching on XDA forums, I discovered that thread, I absolutly wanted to test it, and now I'm blocked at step 5: I can't access recovery mode.
The problem is, when I'm holding buttons to access recovery, it simply starts my device launching Android system. I tried like 50 times to access recovery mode. I'm using ODIN, and I was able after that failed try to recover a stock, working system of my Samsung (I can use it, but it is still the same old 2.3.6 Android version).
I want to point that I'm not a newbie in modifying Android devices: I'm playing everyday with my incredible Nexus 7 2013. And I remember that I accessed recovery mode maybe in July-August 2013, before sending my device to the vendor, who fixed it and sended it back to me (so it's still the same device). And if I start a thread rather than writing a new post in previously quoted thread, it is because I think that my device is the only problem.
If anyone can help me, by suggesting something or completly solving my problem, I will just love him. ^^
Thank you in advance!

Did you try: adb reboot recovery?
Hi All,
I have a Huawei Enjoy 7 - Model SLA-LA00 (running Nougat 7.0, EMUI 5.1, Boot is unlocked).
I'd like to root it, but I've tried Kingoroot, King Root, iRoot etc and it repeatedly fails. On checking it seems that my device isn't compatible with those apps. I would like to use the ADB method, but there's no custom recovery image for the SLA-LA00, I've also checked and it seems, there isn't but please correct me if I'm wrong.
Is there a custom recovery available for my model?? Also, I've tried looking but, is there an International firmware for this model??
Any assistance would be appreciated, thanks.
Regards,
marquez010
Hello, was going to create a new thread, but think yours fits what I need to ask aswell.
Same phone here, bought it in Shanghai and now in Brasil, was trying just to make it google able. Salesman at the official Huawei store tricked me to think it would just need access to a open network for it to work. Silly me.
Well, as you, unlocked it with ADB and with no answers from nobody, tried to flash it with a random TWRP. Obviously didn't work. Now the phone wont boot into system, but i still can manage to put it in fastboot mode and it still replies to ADB.
Question is if someone that knows better than me can tell me what to do to at least get back where I was, before I finish killing this damm stupid phone, wich also doesn't seem such bad idea.

Hi , all you have here :
https://www.getdroidtips.com/huawei-enjoy-7-b161-nougat/
Hey, thanks a bunch. Found that post before, but it looks like its for an older version of this phone. Mine was running b190 nougat. Don't know if should try to flash this one, but if no other ideas, will try it.
Well, was able to boot it again. Flashed it with yet another twrp that i found for a similar (or so i think) huawei and even tough it didn't work, when I connected the phone to the charger and it responded the power up volume combination and allowed me to reboot normaly.
Guess I'm back to where I started. Think now is better to wait, maybe there wiil be a moe suitable release of a gms core package that it requires for google play to work (have it, but installation fails on rebbot) or twrp updates with a version that works for me and then I can try to install gapps thru it.
Back to my old crappy lg now.
Hi all. I've been reading (and not understanding) a lot of threads on here about flashing firmware to this old Galaxy player.
All I wanted to do originally was get a newer android version for the store and games for my 14 month old wee lad to play with.
Anyway after a fair bit of research I got Odin and the US version of a Rom and dove right in to upgrading and of course I made an unholy mess of it and bricked the device.
I chose the US version knowing it probably wasn't going to support the physical home button after but took the risk.
I plugged it into my windows 10 PC and went from there. So the process failed initially after a very quick scroll of information. Then I started ticking the check boxes in Odin to a point where the process took longer and seemed to be actually doing something instead of flying through and failing. Well then it seemed to be doing something so I left it for an hour or two and when I came beck it was stuck where it was, not doing anything. It was late so I unplugged and went to bed.
Now the device only displays the very commonly reported 'phone... ! ...PC' icons.
I have Odin v1.82 running right now and its detecting the player ( yellow box 0:[com8] ), then after a while the player shuts off and comes back on for Odin to detect it again.
Nothing else happens, windows won't read the device even to access as a storage device.
So I've been to step 2, which is trying to unbrick it. I don't really want to go the Ubuntu route as I know even less about Linux then Android.
Also theres the problem of trying to get the original international roms and pit and bootloader(?) files. All the links on here seem to be broken.
So does anyone have the actual files I need and maybe an idiots guide to doing the work?
All help would be greatly appreciated.

'phone... ! ...PC' is merely forced download mode. Find a full international stock and flash with odin...

Yes I have read that on here mate, that its still in download mode, however no button combo gets it to do anything else (like trying to enter recovery mode).
Also and I guess this is the main problem, I can't find the stock files anywhere, and trust me I've been reading threads here and googling elsewhere.
The links on here all seem to be broken, which given the age of the threads is no surprise.
So I'm still kind of hopeful someone reads this and can supply the files I need.
Oh and I'm open to a non stock version as long as its for the international version (home button) and proven to be good.
I'd love to be rid of the bloatware and free to install play store etc.
