From the watch face I used to swipe right to left to bring up the list of apps on my watch and launch them from there. However, after the AW 2.0 update swiping either left or right just brings up the menu to change the watch face.
How do I open the app launcher?
Press the button on the side of the watch.
Thank you!
Hello
Is it possible to get access in menu like previous version swiping left or right on android wear 2.0, for me it is much comfortable than pressing the button
I read somewhere that the app "Bubble Launcher" allows you to do this. Haven't tried it myself though as I've got used to the button press and also use shortcuts on Pujie Black watch face to launch my most used apps.

First off I'm new to the Gtab. I'm currently running Vegan 5.1. Everytime I hit my hard home button it takes me to a switchboard with four buttons. In order to get go my actual home screen I have to select the home icon. This is becoming extremely annoying hitting two buttons every time to get home. Is this normal or am I missing a setting?
What launcher are you using? There is usually a tab in the settings menu for what tapping the home key does.
I'm currently using the VLT launcher just released, but it does the same thing for stock launcher and launcher pro. I scoured the settings and can't find the home button setting. Saw it in Launcher pro but it didn't change anything. Not sure what else to try at this point.
The screen it sends me to appears to be the screen you see when you would place your phone on the dock. It has the alarm clock button, music, home, and gallery button on the bottom with only the time showing.
Button savior works correctly. Unfortunately I'm not a button savior fan. This its the only bug on my tab and its driving me nuts.
Just wanted to update. I read a lot of other Vegan users having this same issue. I ended up freezing the Clock app using Titanium and that corrected the issue. Not sure what other adverse effects that will cause but it worked for me.
Anybody have any other ideas how to fix this? I'm using TNT Lite 4.4 with Launcher Pro. I've set the home button to "Do nothing" in Launcher Pro preferences, and also checked the option that says "Home key to default screen" but neither one of those seems to have had an effect. Thanks!
I'm trying to figure out a way or find a launcher or some method to get my home panels to appear so I can easily select them rather than have to scroll left or right. This might be an ICS related thing. I recall being able to hold the home button and it would do this and now when I hold the home button it shows recently closed apps. Any suggestions on how I can get that feature back? Thanks
With Apex Launcher, when on the primary Homescreen clicking the Home button again will show the available screens for selection.

My mistake with the title of "home panel." I should have titled it "how to view multiple panels on one screen?" or something like that. I will try what SCClockDr suggested. Hopefully it works. I was afraid the most recent apps feature related to ICS prevented viewing all the panels simultaneously.
Thanks again
By long pressing the HOME button I can bring up 3 commands one being the google button or Google item.
Is there any way to put this as a short cut on the home screen??
When I click the search box on the home screen it doesn't bring up the same Google window (with the mountains) in the background.
I want to have this on my home screen so its easer to access.

If you use any rom that has the Android Navigation Bar along the bottom (or at least has support for it), that will give you exactly what you are requesting. Because if you hold down the home button on the Navigation bar a small popup menu will appear allowing you to select Google Now (Google window with the mountains).
Otherwise, put a shortcut to "Google" from your app menu on your homescreen.
Hi guys
just checking if anyone knows whether there exists a stand alone app that can be used to simulate the soft back key or the home key in the Android navigation bar? I am not refer to those virtual back button apps.
I am asking because the LG V10 does not have hardware keys but it has a secondary screen, I can put such Back Button App on the second screen and disable the navigation bar at the bottom of the screen (LG V10 can hide the navigation bar).
I know there is an app for Samsung Edge phone to support the back/home button on the Edge's second screen. unfortunately, that app is only for Edge phone.
I know in the Play store, there are many virtual back button apps. All of them will put a virtual button some where on the screen. that is not ideal for my purpose.
Please let me know if anyone knows or can develop one.
Thanks
Try LMT launcher. You can set up your own configuration and it doesn't block your screen at all - swipe from any portion you set up.

Thanks for the suggestion, I installed the Pie Control from Google Play store as the LTM launcher is not there.
The Pie Control serves the purpose well. awesome!
Thanks!
I hide mine, enabled when using the launcher, when you swipe up from the bottom of the screen it shows and you can use the virtual buttons. I prefer that over the other options.

I'm looking for this too. I installed MyHomeButton from the play store and was able to put a home and recent softkey on my second screen, but now I still need a back button.

All in one gestures on the playstore allows you to create a back soft key that you can add to the second screen.
really need a back button and home button.
I think they should have put a home button right where the big LG symbol is on the bottom of the phone.
@Amd4life Exactly! Why not use that extra hardware space to put in extra buttons? Home, back, recent apps, shortcut key...
Hi, I'm trying to simulate a long press of the home button in order to launch 'Google now on tap' as my phone (elephone p9000, stock 6.0, rooted) has got rid of the navigation bar in favour of a single capacitive button, which uses the long press function to launch recent apps instead of Google now on tap and I can't find any other way to launch this service. You can bring the navigation bar back but this interferes with other functionality I have set up now. Can anyone please tell me either an app that can run a script to simulate the home key long press or alternatively another way to create a shortcut to launch Google now on tap as right now I'm having to go into settings reactivate the navigation bar, long press home and then deactivate it after. Not exactly streamlined! Thanks for any advice.
Would be great to be able to assign Google now on tap to the fast access Button on the left. I miss it myself and dont want to use one Screen Navigation.

There's actually 2 very straightforward ways of doing this, one of which is I thought I'd tried but obviously not very well. You can launch the Now on Tap feature by assigning it to a gesture in either LMT pie control or another 3rd party app called All In 1 Gestures. If this isn't clear just ask.
Anybody figured this? What would the shortcut show up as using a third party app. I can see Google but how would you access Google now on tap? Doesn't show up as a shortcut.
