Failling to charge. - LeEco Le Max 2 Questions & Answers

I've had my leMax2 for just over a month now, as of yesterday I noticed that the phone was not holding charge. If I unplug & re plug, it will start to charge again, then after I while, it either stops charging or is very slow. Not been able to charge over 30%
Fast/normal charge makes no difference.
Has anyone had this problem?
I've ordered new USB C cables, hoping that's the fault.

[Q] charging drains my battery

I've been having a charging issue for a month or so, I'm not sure what to think about it.
Let me explain quickly, that I don't like to fill my pockets with micro usb cables or AC chargers whenever I go out. As such, I usually just acquire a few extra chargers or usb cables and just leave them where I am most likely to need them. I'm sure this is common.
Charger 1 : Samsung AC charger, came with phone. Lives by my bed.
Charger 2 : Blackberry AC charger, acquired from work. Lives in kitchen.
USB 1 : $1 cable from Amazon. Lives in the car, plugged into 12vDC lighter to USB adapter.
USB 2 : $1 cable from Amazon. Lives on my desk at home. Plugged into PC.
USB 3: Blackberry cable. Found at work. Lives at office.
On to the problem.
Somehow, Charger 1, USB 1, USB 2 seem to drain my phone. If I plug in to charge overnight and power is at 45%, when I wake up, I'm at 12% or some other number. Battery App indicates that it has been "charging" I could unplug and replug the charger a few times and then monitor the charge level, if it drops, I unplug and replug again, reboot phone perhaps, it may or may not fix the problem. Problem has gotten worse and these no longer seem to charge phone.
Charger 2 seems to have worked more consistently, but not always. Seems to have gotten worse.
USB 3 is the only cable that consistently charges without problem. It is a blackberry branded cable, much lower gauge wires (read: thicker) than the cheap $1 cables from Amazon or the Samsung OEM charger.
I've tried charging with phone off, does not seem to make a difference.
I'm running Doc Masters v6, problem was also present in v5. Since issue is same with power off, I don't believe this is a ROM issue and have not tried Odin to stock.
Is this sign of the USB port going out? Anyone tried to replace/repair microUSB or have similar experience?
About the part about replacing a microUSB port, I had to do this because my connection was getting flaky, then I messed it up altogether. I sent my phone to MobileTechVideos and they sent it back to me with the port replaced.
I may try sending it to repair. Sounds like a pretty reasonable price and quick turnaround. Dunno if I can take going back to my G1 for a week while I wait though.
Provided I don't misplace the only USB cable that will charge my phone, I should be ok for a while.

[Q] My S4 isn't charging correctly.

For some reason, my battery only wants to charge when it's plugged into my computer. If I plug it into the wall, the battery page displays that it's being charged by USB and not by the AC Adapter that came with it. Plus it charges very slowly, even slower than my computer. When I plug it into my car charger, it doesn't charge at all.
Does anyone else have this problem? I'm gonna charge it for a while and try flashing a new ROM, it started happening since I got on a certain nightly update.

I"m having this problem. Read on another forum that several people were experiencing problems with charging. One guy opened up the phone and noticed that a few pins to the usb port on the phone appeared to be burned/corroded. I went to Verizon today and ordered a replacement. I'm not thrilled about the idea of getting a refurbished phone and may just use the purchase protection from my credit card to get a new one. Not sure if it's something that's been fixed or not or if I'll have the same problem with the replacement phone.... keeping my fingers crossed.
Are you still having the problem?

LG v10 died while using USB port in car

Went for a 4hr road trip, had the aux cord connected to my phone and then plugged in a micro USB cord to USB in the car port when it got to 20%. Phone charged like 2% in an hour, then finally died after I stopped and shopped around. I plugged it in, 20 minutes later it was at 2%, I turned it on to figure out where I was on the GPS, and it died again. Now in my hotel, using a non-LG charger and the phone isn't responding that it's charging.
If I press the power button, the second screen light bleed shows, but nothing else. If I plug it in the computer, I can hear the computer recognize it.
Did I hurt the battery or is the phone really drained and just taking awhile to charge due to it being a non-LG charger?
I have the LG adapter, just not the cable that came with it.
Edit: Decided to remove the battery and put it back in, turns out it did fully charge and now is working. Guess I don't know what happened.
Glad you sorted it out. Maybe you could edit the topic title then

Oukitel K10000 Max Charging issue

Hi,
So I've got a brand new phone very recently: less than 7days ago.:
I'm overall very satisfied, the battery holds charge for 3 days of normal use etc, but I'm having an issue with the charging;
I'm using Oukitel's OEM Cable and wall adapter and get approx 25% with 8-9h of charging. It's worth noting that the "flash charge" worked the first time, getting me from 30% all the way up to 60 in maybe 2h (supposed to be a ........9V2A/12V 1.5A charger), I then unplugged it to get to work. Data pins do work well, I'm able to transfer files and the phone recognises if it's plugged over AC or USB. I'm having the exact same speeds as my 5V 2.3A wall adapter, so i'm thinking the flash charging doesnt work at all anymore.
I have factory reset the phone 3 times now and unplugged the wall adapter for exended period of times to empty capacitors.
I'm really out of ideas and don't really want to send it back because of the cost and time (almost took a month to get there!)
I've sent a message to the support a couple days ago but no answer yet, I think it's hopeless. Anyone having better ideas than me?
I'd really appreciate ANY feedback, even if 20% get me through the day easily.
Thanks for your time.
PS: The phone doesnt heat up AT ALL while "charging" with any of my adapters, including OEM, and i'm having no other type C cable to test with.
I guess the Charger's data pins could be the issue, I have taped data pins of my usb cord and the phone thinks it's charging over AC everywhere, I don't know what to do to verify this though.
(edit) By touching the USB cord, i've noticed window's disconnect sound, I think the cable could be not stable enough and "disconnect/reconnect" with the charger often enough that the flash charge doesnt kick in, I'll try different positions tonight and keep this updated.
OUKITEL K10000 max
That was the cable, bought a fast charge adapter and cable and it now works. Using new cable on old charger works. To anyone having the same issue, just buy a new cable. z

Xperia Z2 Weird Charging problem

Ok so I started having a weird charging issue with my Xperia Z2, a few months ago when I plugged the phone in to charge and noticed it was constantly showing it was charging and disconnecting non stop (basically this here Xperia Z2 charging disconnect)... first thought was maybe my usb cable (original Sony cable) was buggered but nope, plugged in my Xperia Z5 on the same cable and it charged fine, so I tried my magnetic charger on the Z2 and nothing, no charge at all. Eventually when the phone died completely then I was able to get it to charge but not without some issue, when plugging in it would still do the same thing, charge and disconnect constantly, it would take unplugging the cable and plugging it in again a few times till the phone would eventually charge and even though the charge would show 100%, when I turn the phone on, the battery percentage would vary anywhere between 80%-95% and it would discharge very fast.
I figured it may have been my battery as I have been using the phone with an expanded battery since like 2020 and thought maybe thats it for the battery. Eventually got around to getting a new battery this weekend and the phone still does the same thing but its a bit different now, connecting it with my Sony cable still did the same thing when connected to the wall charger, charge and disconnect constantly. Then I thought maybe it could be a software issue so I connected my phone to my PC using a different usb cable to copy some stuff to my PC before resetting the phone to see if that helps...connected it and it was charging...so I take my Sony cable and connect it to the PC with that and it was charging...unplugged the cable from the PC and plugged it into the wall charger and it was charging and disconnecting again. Plugged it into the PC again and started charging. Tried the other usb cable with the wall charger and it did the same constant charging and disconnecting. I know the wall charger is working fine as I am charging other phones on it too with no problems.
I try a third usb cable on the wall charger, this is a real cheap low amp cable, my Z2 starts charging with it almost normally, painfully slow but it was charging. Now I say almost normally because when it charges to around 90% then it starts doing the constant charge and disconnect again. Also the battery doesn't discharge as fast as it was doing before but still a bit fast.
I want to try flashing a new rom, stock and custom to see if any of those might work.
Would any one have any idea of the issue or experienced anything similar and was able to fix it? Any help any one
In the past I had a similar problem, try to clean the Usb port on phone and try again.
Kindly regards
I remember reading something about the live kernel being involved in charging. It makes sense for this to break charging while completely empty. To charge at full speed you need the kernel to be running, but to get the kernel running you need power, the trickle charge you get without a kernel isn't enough to keep up with the boot process, so you end up in a loop of no power. I have not tested if another kernel fixes it, but it is currently broken on my device.
