I bricked my phone, so I interested how and can I fix this.
What I actually done with it?
It was long time ago, but I think that I remember correctly.
I tried to install custom ROM,
I upload new rom, and before I try is this compatible
I deleted existing ROM and Recovery, so my phone stay without ROM and Recovery.
Now it just go in start screen and stay on it.
I remember that I tried to fix this from my PC
I managed to connect phone with pc, and I managed to aces from command line, but I didn't managed to do nothing.
I remember that I have some issue wit uploading file into phone because If I correctly remember I didn't have permissions to write on this partition or something like that.
Is there any chances to fix phone without recovery and rom on it?

Ok i was in recovery mode and i had planned on installing a ROM called Megatron(makes cpu faster). I had a bad signal on my computer so i decided to hold off on downloading the ROM. However, i remember downloading a theme and i saw the update.zip file on my desktop. I copied it to the root of my sdcard and on my phone it read,"update.zip.zip"(didnt really bother me because i figured it was STILL considered a .zip file). Anyway, I flashed it from the sdcard and i tried to reboot my phone and it went normal until it got to the Android logo. It would have the sleek light going across the logo but then it would freeze, go blank, then come back and do the same thing again. Now i tried to backup my phone before doing this but when i tried, it wouldnt let me and it told me to do it from the adb(I dont know how). Its obvious im new to this. I dont think its bricked because it turns on and i really dont know if i voided the warranty on it or not. PLEASE HELP ME!
You're bootlooping. I'm not very advanced in all this just yet, but after reading through different forums you gotta flash a factory rom.
http://www.lg.com/us/support/mc-support/mobile-phone-support.jsp
If that doesnt work, find a .zip file of the original firmware and flash it through recovery.
LG C800
Device will not enter fastboot.
Can't get into recovery mode.
Each time it boots it hard resets. There is an unofficial CWM Recovery Rom on this forum from chui101 which is for this exact phone, but I have as of yet not had any luck in getting the phone to take it.
So far i've tried Flash_image recovery.img (renamed chui's CWM recovery file to recovery.img)
Doesn't seem to matter what I do the phone starts(LG on screen), resets (the LG goes away for a sec then comes back), does a hard reset (a white box with an arrow pointing out of it an to a little android), again resets the phone one last time for a "normal" boot.
I've tried a few different things to try and flash anything overtop of the stock recovery but nothing works. It seems like very early in the bootstrap is a command to do a hard reset and anything that gets put in AFTER that command is ignored. (And the phone hard resets and anything else it was supposed to do is gone.)
Device is rooted with SuperSU.
Phone is fully functional except that it hard resets every boot, and if its plugged in when off it doesn't go to a charging screen, it starts the phone 100% up.
Adb devices CAN see the phone.
I CAN get into Download (sometimes called Emergency) mode.
"reboot recovery" doesn't do anything but reboot the phone as described above.
I can't afford a new phone guys, so I'm over a barrel at this point.
i'll pay whoever provides meaningful help in getting this thing fixed.
You should start fresh. So, flash the stock rom FTF of your phone, then the phone should boot up normally. Then you could either root it and install a CUSTOM recovery, or flash a pre-rooted custom kernel that already contains a recovery. From there, just flash the custom rom you want
Just press thanks if I helped, no need for money
stock rom FTF?
From the factory?
I'd love to do that. But am bewildered as to how when every guide I've found says use fastboot -- which doesn't work on my device. And every guide without fastboot thus far has not worked. I've been reading 10 hrs a day for the last 3 days looking for a solution to this.
If there was a way to completely wipe the entire phone and then install stock rom I'd be glad to do it.... I have found no such guide... only those to replace recovery. (not a 100% clearing as if it came right off the line with no software yet installed)
Additional information:
mv /system/recovery-from-boot.p /system/recovery-from-boot.p-bak
Spits out a "No such file or directory" error
I don't know about you, but for Xperia Devices there is a PC software called Flashtool to flash stock roms and custom kernels and stuff from the PC. There should also be a software like that for your device. You just download the stock FTF for your phone (just type in google "download stock FTF for LG C800") and flash it in Flashmode that should be working
One more thing, this issue is not called bricked
press thanks if i helped
There is an LG tool but it says current software is up to date.
Other option is run recovery, which just reboots the phone as is.
No, this software I am talking about is not made by LG or Sony in my case. It should be a general tool for all LG devices. it should root, flash, install busybox, etc......

LG MOBILE SUPPORT TOOL ?
Thats the one that so far doesn't work.
the one named:
KDZ_FW_UPD_EN ?
He doesn't appear to support GSM phones. Plus I hit "Read info from phone" button... it gets almost everything -- correctly -- then crashes.
IT wants kdz files... looking for them now... chui has a dl link for the stock recovery but even though its a few mb it looks like only a zipped folder hierarchy with no files.
Slightly mis-read. still not finding any "generic" flashing software
trying octopus now....
crashed....
run as admin..... ah... you need their hardware which is hundreds of dollars...
Flash image gui, phone is not supported.
ok, a couple cyanogen dev's have both told me i'm screwed. Imma try for the rest of today and then just never turn it off again.
ok, paying lg to fix it... anybody guess what that will cost?
Try flashing CyanogenMod on your phone as no stock firmware is avaiable currently for your phone cyanogenmod shall fix the problem and you should boot normally (first flash CWM)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1752704 - flashing cwm recovery (do it!)
Flashing cyanogenmod (requires usb debugging on)
First to put the cyanogenmod rom in the sdcard use adb push - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1667929
Page 1 (Pre Requisites - http://droidnoob.com/update-lg-c800-to-android-4-0-4-ics-via-cm9.html
Page 2(The actual flashing part :victory - http://droidnoob.com/update-lg-c800-to-android-4-0-4-ics-via-cm9.html/2
Probably will fix the problem....
hi techmasta,
I'd love to flash cyanogenmod, but the phone never enters fastboot to flash anything. The first link you posted says to use fastboot. I can't do that. The phone doesn't goto fastboot, it runs its recovery first.
EDIT: if there is a way to force it while the phone is in download mode that could probably work.
secondly, I've spend more than 40 hours on this issue, mostly reading forums but still a great deal on google.
I'm pretty unhappy with google as neither of those droidnoob forums ever come up. And believe me, there isn't much out there referring to the lg c800 so they should have!
Hello XDA,
It's been awhile since I've made a post, but I'm very unsure about what I'm trying to do.
I have a T-Mobile HTC One S, about 4 years old, that has a damaged display, but I am trying to do a backup to pull out photos and whatnot that I had on the phone before I broke it.
My question is, is there a way for me to do a backup of the whole Android OS and whatever file there is on the phone to emulate it on my Windows PC?
Now for what I've done so far with a bit of back story. The phone broke about 4 years ago when I dropped it and damaged the display and I never got around to fixing it or trying to do a blind backup through the recovery until a few days ago.
I had a friend replace the screen and the phone booted up, except it was soft bricked and was stuck at the splash screen. I was able to get into the recovery and tried to mount the phone to my computer, but it wouldn't let me and I've forgotten what the error message was.
My problem now, is that I've dropped the phone again and the display is broken yet again, but I was curious if I could extract every single file out of the phone and use an emulator so that I can try and get back into it.
Thank you
Edit: I forgot to mention that the phone is rooted. I don't remember what ROM I used, but the phone does have clockwork mod recovery. My big thing is wanting to know what commands to use to create a backup from adb and what directories to point it at.
This would only be possible with a custom recovery. If you don't have one (and I would assume you don't since you did not mention it already), then there's nothing you can do to recover data as the method to install the custom recovery involves 1) being able to see the display to do some things 2) wipes the phone.
It's using a very old version of clockword mod for recovery. I did forget to mention that the phone is rooted though, and I'll make sure to add this tidbit into the original post.
You might be able to use a tool like this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2339530 then.
Hey guys, this is my first Thread in xdadevelopers
I am pretty new to coding and all this "behind the UI" stuff, but i am eager to learn more, since its really fun.
So i have got a new Phone : the ulefone power 2 with MTK6750T Prozessor. It has quite the battery with 6000mah, but i still wanted to root the device to archieve like one week battery time or so xD
I rooted, installed TWRP recovery and some apps, everything just went fine. I didnt install a custom rom, since i didnt find any for this phone. Well, i wont buy mtk phones anymore, since they dont offer open source code with all its community possibilities
Anyway, today the touchscreen suddenly stopped working. I thought its a common bug, restarted it. Now it wont start the OS anymore, its only booting in TWRP. I dont remember well, but it said something like "phone is not safe, gotta factory reset".
Since i have TWRP, i just did the reset. Without success though. Its still booting into recovery and cant shut down either, whatever i chose in TWRP options.
My next thought was flashing a new ROM with TWRP, which doesnt work due to "zip file is corrupt" error, even though its the stock file from ulefone.com
Since TWRP has a command terminal, it might be possible to use to stop the recovery bootloop when connecting to pc? in this case i might be able to use adb, but atm i cant, and the battery is non removable
I dont care that much about having a phone, i could just buy a new one (xiaomi redmi note 4x it would be), but i would really like to fix this and enlarge my knowledge for situations to come.
Hopefully someone of the professionals here can help. There is a similar Thread already by drkeey, but in my case i can still use TWRP with my mouse, so there might be hope.
I wanted to sign in to Snapchat but apparently, that doesn't work if you have root.
I then uninstalled the Xposed Framework and ignored it saying I should wipe dalvik cache (I now know that's stupid but I don't have a recovery or some option to do that rn)
Next, I went to SuperSu and did the full unroot.
After that I was told to reboot and now I'm stuck at the picture you always see before the bootanimation starts.
I'm looking for something like Titanium Back to get really everything saved and from there on make my phone boot again, stock rom is good enough.
I have access to a Windows PC which doesn't recognize my phone via USB, a big enough SD Card.
However, I don't have a custom recovery installed and when I try going to the stock recovery, it just says "No Command".
If I boot into fastboot, the phone acts as if everything was the way it should be while my PC still doesn't recognize it
Also, I can't remove the battery on this phone but making it go empty doesn't help either.
We´re talkting about my Umidigi Crystal 2/16 Version <-- The 2/16 is a different version!!
And it was running stock rom which was Android Nougat.
I´m not that experienced whith these things, you might have guessed it.
Thank you for any help though.
