Hi, could someone please tell me which repository and branches i have to use for the device tree, kernel and vendor blobs? im having problems compiling cm11 and i cant think about another cause that im using the wrong ones. These are the ones im using from github:
Device tree:
artas182x/android_device_lge_p760 (branch cm-11.0)
Kernel:
artas182x/lge-kernel-omap4 (branch android-omap-3.0)
Vendor blobs:
TheMuppets/proprietary_vendor_lge (branch cm-11.0)
Thanks in advance.
HI, I'm trying to compile cyanogen's kernel for mako
however with the compiler I used to compile AOSP sources, cm won't compile without modification to source code.
Can anyone tell the toolchain used by CM for it's releases so I can do a successful complication without source code modification?
Anyone willing to tell the toolchain?
Hello folks,
I'm looking for the kernel source tree, defconfig, device tree for the Ulefone S7.
I've only found a source tree for a device calle Elefone S7, but I'm unsure whether it's the same chipset, and their kernel is pretty ancient (3.18.22), heavily differing from upstream version (6942 files changed, 2855793 insertions(+), 122204 deletions(-)), no defconfig for the device.
Could anyone help ?
What I finally like to do is porting to recent mainline and submit remaining patches for mainline integration.
thx

Hi, I'am doing a piece of coursework and I'm working with a Proof Of Concept that utilises the ashmem driver and must be patched for it to work, so I need to compile a new kernel with this patch.
Patching these files in specific, can do this successfully on "android-msm-marlin-3.18-oreo".
(/drivers/staging/android/ashmem.c)
(/include/uapi/linux/ashmem.h)
The main problem comes when I come to compile the kernels, I've yet to have a single successful compile using the Google Git kernel(Both GCC and Clang) as well as compiling the source code of ElementalX ,PureZ and NiKernel.
I've been following this guide using GCC, I've also tried his Clang guide from github: By nathanchance
I seem to get an error in regards to"find: 'arch/arm64/boot/dts': No such file or directory" even though that directory exists. I've also found it hard to debug with the GCC deprecation coming up, is there a flag to remove this?
I'd ideally like to do this myself but if anyone can compile this for me with the patch included that would also be greatly appreciated. The patch can be found: Here
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated
