redmi note 4 on quallcom HS USB diagnostic 900E mode - Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 Questions & Answers

2 days before i unlocked my redmi note4 , i was on latest miui beta so i want to flash twrp now and yesterday i flash twrp from abhishek thread of xda, then from twrp i wipe system and install old stable miui 8.1.15 because it was good and no bugs there which was successfull shown by twrp then clear delvic cache then i reboot to system, twrp gave me error no os installed are you sure want to reboot. i thought that its some twrp bug which i earlier faced on other device ,so i go ahead and reboot, then my mobile goes off, then no charging animation, not booting to recovery not turning on, and at all not going to fast boot by pressing lower volume button and inserting usb cable its going to hs 900e diagnostic mode only detected by pc, as far as my knowledge my mobile hard bricked. so i searched online no thread i found for redmi note 4, but found many thread for redmi note 3 , which was using some mother board pins sorting method for entering in edl mode and on entering for qdl 9008 mode, because redmi note 4 not have edl mode or locked edl also i dont want to open my new mobile back cover. so one last option was going to service center only, i downloaded mi flash but i think its only detects qdl 9008 mode not 900e mode. because fastboot not coming and also i dont have flasher cable, which was also mentioned as solution.
one more thing i found that for redmi note 3 that it also enters in fastboot mode by pressing volume down and power key simultaneously from gsm arena , only 20 % battery was left in mobile .
so i tried this thing and shocked that mobile entered in fastboot mode, note that volume down+usb cable in pc not working here
so by this i entered in fastboot because i not have fastboot rom so i again flashed twrp and then flash RR from twrp and recovered my mobile , then all thing began to working normal. mobile began to go recovery by volume+ + power key and fastboot by volume down+usb :laugh::laugh:

today pc froze while I was running flash all script (stock fw) in xiaomi flash tool with a xiaomi note 4 in edl mode
after that phone would only go into emergency 900e mode
I opened the phone (removed case), unplugged battery connector, shorted two testpoint pins (attachment) and connected phone to pc
phone then showed up in 9008 mode (edl) and I was able to run xiaomi flash tool and restore stock fw

[guide] [unbrick xiaomi mi5 with miflash beta]

Hi xiaomi users
if you bricked your mi5 after wrong flash or something went wrong and you not able any more to start you device normaly, so you'r in the correcte thread to unbrick your mi5 with the correcte fastboot rom and miflash beta
whatever the cause of bricking your device( in my case no boot, no recovery mode and no fastboot mode just black screen),if it connected to your laptop and show qualcomm QHsusb QDloader 9008 in devices manager then you have big opportunity to make it alive again :fingers-crossed:
1 :
download and install xiaomi flashing tool miflash beta frome here : http://en.miui.com/forum.php?mod=at...jYmIxNDZifDE0NjYzMTc1OTZ8MzEyNzU5MnwyODE5Nzk=
2 : download the correct fastboot rom for your xiaomi mi5 from here : http://update.miui.com/updates/v1/fullromdownload.php?d=gemini&b=X&r=cn&n=
note: i have chosen the latest china dev fastboot rom to unbrick my mi5,other fastboot roms not worked for me
put your fastboot rom to c/ drive and extract it ,not on desktop or other extension
3 : enter on fastboot mode by pressing power and volume down you will see logo of xiaomi its fastboot mode,if you cant access fastboot mode just connect you mi5 to your laptop it will detect it as qualcomm driver
4 : open miflash beta and check flash all, chose you rom in c drive then clik refresh button you will se your device as com port, now start flash by cliking on flash button and be patient it will take over 5 min, when success unplug your and start your phone,if not start just let it connected to your laptop over 30 min it will start automatically
now enjoy your mi5 with latest miui8 china developer,

Hi guys, i was trying to flash a global stable rom with edl and miflash but something went wrong and miflash says that memory was unsifficient. What should i do? I'm on windows 10 64bit with all adb installed (i think). I even disabled the driver license. I didn't do nothing since the error and i don't know if i should unplug the cable or whatever.
hey, it says flash done (sucessful), but my phone still with black screen and nothing happens, should i just wait?
Hi guys, im not sure if this will help you or not but my phone bricked last night and ive manage make it work again by following this method but it little bit different so when it my phone successfully flashed, i just left it untill the batteries is empty by left it all night (before bricked the batteries was 50% i think), maybe it will take longer then mine and if this method work it showing battery empty indicator like normal phone.. ps: when my phone bricked i had no fastboot no recovery no edl, just black screen and red light indicator.. good luck guys
i have used the test point method and successfully flashed the latest Rom V8.5.2.0 with the latest MiFlash 201612220. after flash done, the phone still cannot turn on... anybody can help???

Xiaomi Note 3 Bootloop after installing TWRP and bad flash

Hi all,
What I did:
- Install TWRP
- Installed a bad ROM through recovery mode
- #brick
Now:
- Stuck in mi logo bootloop
- I can't get to EDL
- I can get to fastboot, but I can't seem to run any commands on my PC
- I can't get to recovery mode
EDL Mode
- I can't seem to get to EDL mode where the red light flashes
- I have tried going to fastboot --> Removing power --> Power + and Power - and Power. Wait for Mi logo to flash twice, and it goes into "Power off mode"
- When I connect to USB again, it connects to the PC and charges
- In device manager, I can see Xiaomi Composite MDB Interface
- No connectivity over adb command
Fastboot Mode
- I can get into Fastboot
- Connect Fastboot into the PC, I am unable to run any adb or fastboot commands.
- Fastboot devices shows nothing, adb devices shows nothing
- In device manager, I can see Android Bootloader Interface
I've tried many soft options and have read through probably 30+ guides. I have not tried the test point method because I do not want to void my warranty.
Anyone experience this and can help?
Thanks!
Try re-installing the driver and see if those adb/fastboot commands work.
U said u installed TWRP right . Then u can go to recovery by pressing volume up+power button and then install another custom rom or stock rom but if u have unofficial unlocked bootloader then flashing stock rom will relock ur bootloader and device will not bootup. So go for another custom rom like resurrection remix its super stable n smooth too.
Follow these two tutorials.

To enter EDL mode, you need to unplug the battery, wait 10 seconds, replug it. Then, remove the USB plug, replace it, then while holding both volume + and -, plug the phone in the computer using the original cable.
Make sure to check what you're getting in device manager. If you get USB_BULK, you need to download the drivers. If you're getting diagnostics, you did the earlier procedure wrong so try it again. If you're getting 9008, you've gained access to EDL.

Xaiomi Redmi Note 3 SE bricked, please help!

So, while trying to flash a new MIUI rom to my Redmi Note 3 in EDL mode I must have flashed an incompatible rom. My phone is acting as though it is in EDL mode but only when it is receiving power from the charger or computer. I cannot boot into recovery or fastboot mode, and the MiFlash tool does not detect it. The windows device manager still detects it however. So, is my phone permanently bricked or is there a way to fix this? I will be more than happy to post the MiFlash log.

Big bricked device problem on EDL Mode

I bricked my RN3Pro on AOSP Extended Rom so i started to flash Xiaomi official rom by MiFlash. That took me 2000seconds on MiFlash so i disconnected phone (to try it again). It crashed from fastboot mode to EDL (red led is blinking). And now.. My phone is undetectable on my PC and two notebooks. I have xiaomi drivers / google drivers, tried to add new android drivers. Nothing helps.
Trying to detect phone by MiFlash, adb, fastboot programs (some versions.. "minimal" too). Its still undetectable. Devices list is always empty. I don't think this is because of the drivers, this was ok before installing this bad xiaomi rom.
I need my phone tomorrow so please help me!
Just press power + volume Down
Then unlock bootloader and then reboot phone
I have the same issue, stuck on EDL (red led blinking) unable to be detected on anything, cannot use buttons to get into Fastboot or recovery.
Please help!!
Use test point method...... U will find the trick on YouTube...

Redmi 3 Pro completely bricked by writing to /dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/aboot

Hello guys!
My Redmi 3 Pro didn't boot into TWRP so I followed the instructions in this post to fix it but I didn't notice that there is a file attached and used TWRP image instead. Now my phone is completely bricked, I can't put it into recovery, fastboot nor edl mode. There is no reaction after plugging charger. But when I connect it to a computer it's visible as Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 so I thought it automatically runs into edl somehow and tried to flash using MiFlash but it always fails with "sahara read end error with status 9" even when using deep flash cable. I've never unlocked it's bootloader but was running LineageOS and then xiaomi.eu ROMs so I think it was unlocked inofficially by the seller I bought it from. Is there a way to fix it?
