So I've installed LGUP to flash the h850 v10e unlocked kdz as I'm getting nowhere with the fluency HD 24 patch. Now that I have LGUP installed I put my phone into MTP and that's when lgup finds my device but when I click on select I get an error saying 'LGUP can't load the model[C:\program files (x86)LG Electronics\LGUP\model\com

Again ? Please take the time to read through the forums. EVERYTHING that you need is here.
Try for yourself, XDA is a development site foremost(although it is also a friendly environment...mostly), if you still have difficulties and you have tried out all the options/possibilities.. then ask for assistance.
I am far from any Android expert but i have always taken the time to read, read again and try to understand what i am about to do/flash etc and MOST importantly.. know how to get out of any possible mishaps.
Taking the time (yes it's boring) will help you in the long run.
you will need to install the model dll

this looks like downgrading from Nougat to Marshmallow may be blocked on the H831 when using LGUP.
as shown in the screenshot.. your phone is on Nougat (20A) but you are trying to flash a Marshmallow KDZ (10D).
Obtain the 20A (or higher) KDZ for your phone model and that should flash in LGUP.
An alternative to flashing the KDZ would be trying to run a factory reset (wiping user data). You can do this from the settings menu on your phone.. or by booting into stock recovery menu. The G5 All-n-one thread on XDA has steps for how to boot into recovery if unsure.
Some users have stated that they have been able to downgrade from N to M with a combination of LGUP 1.14 + UPPERCUT and LGUP 1.11 and DLL MSI. There are downgrade threads in the G5 section here on XDA for more info on that. Not all models support this downgrade though (even though anti-rollback isnt set). You could technically root the phone then manually flash each and every partition to downgrade but thats risky. But to anyone capable and knowing how to do that.. yes that would work as long as you aren't downgrading fuse version.

That fixed my problem. Thank you
hi v10 folks,
just bought this v10 mobile 3 days before. it came with 5.1 android version, so thought of upgrading it and found some weird observations.
1. on connecting mobile to LG Bridge, model shows as H901 but update shows as F600S30D :crying:
2. downloaded lg phone info app and saw the provider name as SK Telecom
i have attached three screenshots of my mobile phone. is this a genuine t mobile version ? what needs to be done to upgrade my phone to Nougat ??? instead of bricking my phone thought of taking your suggestion guys
thanx in advance
Do NOT use LG Bridge, or you will brick your phone. Dunno where you got your phone, but it has an F600 IMEI, so LG Bridge thinks you need F600 firmware.
There is a v20L KDZ floating around here somewhere. Grab it, and put your phone in download mode (pull the battery / put the battery back in / hold volume up / plug USB cable in -- you don't have to hit the power button). Once you are in download mode, you can flash the KDZ with LG UP. That will get you to MM 6.0.1 which is still rootable using the dirtycow method (if you care about rooting). If you don't care about rooting, I am uploading the v30b Nougat KDZ right now. It is not rootable with any currently known methods. If you do want root, root on v20L, and then I will also be posting an update.zip that will take you to v30b and keep root.

My goodness, thanks for the prompt reply buddy, you saved my @SS im seriously not worried for root or bootloader unlock. im ok with stock nougat without root. so which kdz i need to flash ? im confused
As far as I know, no one has uploaded the Nougat KDZ yet, so I am in the process of uploading it. Google drive is being REAL slow. Since you don't care about root, you can use the same method that I described above (get into download mode, and use LG UP to flash the KDZ). I will make a post just a soon as it finishes uploading.
You might want to take this time to be SURE that you don't want root, because once you flash Nougat, there will more than likely never be a way to root this phone unless another exploit in the Linux kernel can be found...

No if you update h90130b your phone will be a hardbrick.
You have to upgrade F600S30d But you might lose the network !!!
@SandyKick If you can return that phone for an exchange, you might want to. As @dodo73 said, (in not so many words) you are boned. You are going to have to take a risk either way, but the safest route since adb sees the device as an F600, is to flash the F600 firmware. If you lose network, you can then try flashing the H901 modem. Let us know how it goes, but you are probably going to have to do SOME kind of fixup -- it will not be a clean flash / upgrade / happy phone
EDIT: If you flash the F600 firmware and brick your phone, that is also easy to fix -- and you will know that you DO need the H901 firmware.

read this thread by @shadi47pk - https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-v10/general/lg-v10-f600s-conversion-to-t3549884

@SandyKick as long as you have download mode, you can fix your phone without needing a jtag box. What KDZ did you flash / how did you flash it to get in the condition you are in?

I dont think going straight from 5.1.1 to nougat is a good idea. And after 1 hr of download if lg up is going to say incorrect kdz then why time waste
@SandyKick first we have to upgrade it to 6.0 to see everything goes welll then decide to upgrade it to 7.0
I have been searching for v20L kdz link but which model it is the huge problem
as we can not flash H901 kdz.
f600L?
F600s?
F600K?
There are three model with several updates. :/ Pretty confusing right.

Hi guys, i recently bought an used LG G5, after checking out the IMEI with an LG representative via email, it turns out i have the marketing version. I tried upgrading to 8.0 on my own using the regular software update on the phone with no success. I tried using LG Bridge, where it says that "your phone is up to date" however after i press ok for that message, it says that there is an update available "H85010DX". After i click to continue to get to the downloading phase i get the error message "The update cannot be downloaded because there was a problem with the server"
Knowing all of this, is there a way, no matter what for me to upgrade to Oreo? Thanks for ur time guys!
Try with officila KDZ upgrade for H850, using Uppercut and LGUP.
You can find the firmware here and LGUP and Uppercut (with instructions) here.

I am trying right now! Coming with a reply!
Nice! Before trying to flash the KDZ, have you tried to unlock the bootloader with the official LG method? That would allow and easier and safer upgrade via TWRP.

Yes, i tried, as i mentioned in my post earlier, they said it cannot be done because my phone model is the marketing version, HOWEVER!!
I DID IT!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I Downloaded LG UP, The LG Drivers and UPPERCUT, A Romanian Firmware of H850 (there wasn't any for my LG G5 Model so i tried that one, same phone specs "what could go wrong?")
AND IT WORKED PERFECTLY!!!!! I Used a weird ass 100 views guide on youtube hahahahaa
Perfect!

Make sure you are using the Dev Patched LGUP from the Pie KDZ threads. Uninstall any prior version. Read the Troubleshooting Tips in the Pie KDZ threads just below the Dev Patched LGUP installation instructions.
I fixed my problem by flashing US998_20E and it fixed my download mode which appeared to be the problem
Thank you

Hmm no link??? I have the same issue, it all worked and I was going to downgrade again to version A7 and then out of the sudden it does not work anymore. SIGH, so sick and tired of this nonsense.
Whatever it took, I downloaded something which seemed to work and I have downgraded to version 7 - sadly I seem to have lost the link. But here are the files for installing it, first install the msi file and then copy the things in the folder LGUP_pie to the place where it was installed and override anything. And it should work.
So now my F800K is now again running A7, downgraded from A9! Back to looking into rooting and fixing boot loader.
install msi file and copy the things in folder pie into the installation and override it. At least it fixed my issue and downgraded from version 9 to 7.
Just go to ChazzMatt's Stock KDZ thread for your model. It has all the links you need for the correct LGUP version AND the KDZ file AND anything else you're likely to need. PLUS exact steps to install LGUP and perform the flashing. Oh, AND troubleshooting steps in case you have problems.
It's true, it DOES require that you go to the V30 ROM section and click on the thread for your model
