Hi dear v10 users. im here with a veird question again.
I was looking my FB group about v10 and some 1 Claims that: He was charging phone around 45 mins till some 1 use his charger to charge some other phone. since then his phone charging around 90 mins. . And yes i got same stuation. My phone charging around 90 mins and yes some 1 used my charger also. so that can be true ? 0o ?? if our original charger get used by some 1 else does it effect charging speed? btw it still says " fast charging " during charge.
Ty for answers.
Idk but my V10 doesn't charge NEARLY as fast with the stock charger as the Qualcomm Quick Charge compliant charger I have in my car. I've tested other phones on it too. Nexus 6 for example, it'll charge at a nice fast steady rate while I'm using the phone. If I perform the same scenario with the V10, it'll hardly move 1%. Real talk. Idk what the issue is.

I came from the nexus 6 myself. Not only was I disappointed when I noticed there appeared to be a noticeable difference in charging time but I didn't understand why. Here's what I know, the v10 utilizes quickcharge technology however it only activates when the main screen is off/dormant. Unlike the N6 that quickcharges regardless. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news...?

Well i have given my charger many times to different people and did not see such behavior. About the screen on/off - i can't comment because when i charge the phone i usually don't use it anyway but it does not seem too logical. If you use the phone during charge it will have much higher consumption than when sitting on your desk so it is normal charge to take longer time this way.
Just curious. Thank you

About 90 minutes
Weird Mine takes 1hr 50m from 0 to 100%
Only 30 mins but lasts for 3 days of constant use afterwards.
I'm also surprised by these different delay...
I'm not using a quick charger and I'm able to charge my P9000 phone in 2h00/2h15.
I was waiting for a 30/45 min complete charge from 0% to 100% with a Pump Express + Charger.
I tried my phone on 2 Pump Express (not +) charger with a probe linked on the USB power lines and an Oscilloscope and it never change the power supply voltage....
It always stay at 5V.
I was thinking the phone will manage the voltage to accelerate the charging process, but nothing happened.
So, to have a complete view of the problem, I've ordered an original Elephone Quick Charger, and I'll check if there's any change about this subject.
But from my point of view, the Pump Express System is not working at all on the P9000 with the Aerom V4 or Stock ROM 20160608.
If other people have the same issue, please share it here to identify if it's a general bug or limited to some devices only.
20160608 kernel hace messed up fast charging. To me in aerom3 it takes about 70 mins from 0 to 100%
Fast charging still slow
I havent charged from 0% but based on charging times so far I reckon 1.5hrs would definitely get to 100%.
I use an Anker faster charger and Anker usb cable.
Last phone got fried with Elephone cable.
To power up, you consume Red Bull. But your phone just needs its adaptive fast charger. Rate this thread to express how quickly the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 can charge. A higher rating indicates that it charges extremely fast.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
Took me 3hrs to fully change my Mido. 0-100%
3-4 hours for a full charge, this thing really needs fast charging feature to charge this huge 4100mha battery..
Me too 3 to 3.30 minutes. If we use it while charging it charging slowly .
My phone take around 2 or 3 hours
2-3 hours as well, but I just charge while I'm sleeping. It easily lasts the full day, so I don't need to charge during the day
Charging RN4 mido is damn slow. It takes around 3hrs for 0-100% topup but why complain when the device lasts for 2days with 10+ hrs of SOT.
Anyone tested charging speed using a kernel that supports fast charging?
My phone takes around 2-2h30 hours to fully charge.
10% to 100% --> 2 hour 50 minutes
2.40 min if on if off around 2.20 if off
is there by any chance to enable fast charging on this device?
My phone takes around 1-1h30 hours to fully charge. Am from Brazil, here uses 230vts in my region...

Guys .. Is there a solution to enable the fast charging.
Thanks.

Get a micro-USB cable that is 22 AWG or lower (the lower the AWG rating the better). And make sure that the cable is made by a high quality manufacturer.
Charging Time
My Phone charges from 0-100 in 2 hours maximum.
Excuse me but charging Redmi Note 4 with STOCK ROM from zero % to 100% takes minimum 3 hours using the cable and charger from the box.
On stock rom I think it's impossible to go under 3h. What is Your take on this?
3 hours to fully charge my rn4 mido. If this device have quick charge it would greater than it is now

The stock charger doesn't come with quick charge, just buy qc charger that is 3.0 (I suggest Aukey qc) and you'll get atleast 2 hrs charge from 0-90%.
Hi..
I just watched a YouTube review about Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime which have nearly the same specs to our beloved Xiaomi Redmi Note 4. The reviewer was suggesting to use 3rd party Quick Charger 3.0 to enhance the charging time from 2 Hours 32 mins (with bundled charger ) to 1 Hour 40 mins (with QC 3.0).
I don't know if that is true or not also if the QC will harm the battery on the long run???!!
what do you think?

Quick Charging is not enabled by Xiaomi on our device

Not enabled as of now however , I believe its a feature available on all Snapdragon 625. So it definately work if someone builds it into a custom rom.
PS I dont know why REDMI n4 is missing it. If i plug in my moto turbo charger, it charges at regular rate, however if i use a turbo charger on redmi 3s prime, it charges fast (Rather screen also shows "charging quickly" or something)
OEM charger, charges Redmi Note 4 faster in 2 hours when battery is at 5-10%.
I tested many other chargers of 5V and 2A output but only OEM (came with phone) charges faster..
i still dont get why there's always ppl that wants to charge this device faster. you charge the phone for 2 hours and some minutes to get 10 hours SOT 3 days charge, yet still wants to charge faster.

Hi, I'm using the 4x snapdragon, with the final Resurrection rom.
Can someone recommend a good kernel with quick charge and works alongside this rom?
Thanks in advance.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4(X) doenst support Quick Charge!
Snapdragon 625.
I recall that the chip does and xiaomi within the kernel restricted that.

No they did not, it's not kernel related but the charging board and battery that are not compatible.
Thanks for the info.
Why so obsessed to quick charge?
It's not much faster than the regular charge.
Quick charge enabled phone charge the 3000mah battery in 1.5hours... If the battery is larger 4000mah, it will takes approximately 2 hours to charge.
RN4 regular charge is about 2 hours 15mins... Its just 15 minutes longer and if we usually charge it overnight, its nothing difference... you want to take the unknown risk?

Yes!
We do all sort of things with our devices that are outside of "safe use". We overclock and overvolt them, flash stuff that could potentially brick them, etc.
As to why? I wouldn't charge the device from 0-100 with QC enabled but i sure as hell would like to charge it for 5 min and get 20-30%
If QC could be enabled it has to be tested sure, maybe it wouldn't be a good idea with an ambient T of 30C maybe the cut of point would be 60% or 20min. But yes I would like to test it.
Peace
ready for dwialli bomb?

When it comes to play the electricity, the risk isn't your phone brick but bomb...
And it will nowhere near 20-30% in 5 minutes.
LG G5 that have QC 3.0 enabled charge around 10% in 5 minutes. its with 2800mah battery, faster usb-c, etc...
What's the battery charging rate with a stock charger? My stock charger gives 1300mah at 70% and a Blitzwolf QC 3.0 gives 1700mah at 70%.

Well sure it won't be for every one, there is a real risk of the battery catching fire (bomb is a bit hyperbolic) . That's why IF it's possible people willing to take the risk have to test it out. Some might think it's worth the risk though.
My admittedly rusty back of the napkin math says it should be theoreticly possible to get 20% With 20V and 3.6A in less than 7 min.

1-80 should be close to 2000mah.
I have 2 rn4, comes with different stock charger.
EU and US plug
Stock charger with EU plug, charge about 1400-1600mah
Stock charger with US plug, charge about 1800-1900mah

you are wrong,
RN4 snapdragon need 3 hour 5m for fully charged (10~100%) with 5V2A charger
and the advantage of QC is they charge very fast in 0~70% (about 30min only) then slower until 100% (max 1H 40m total)

Oh please, 0-70% in 30 minutes?
Read here buddy: https://www.androidauthority.com/oneplus-5-galaxy-s8-battery-charge-781682/
Congratz.... You found better technology than OP5 dash charge and you don't need the fancy usb-c.
I just measured my RN4 charge speed
0-90 : less than 2 hour
90-100 : you need 45 minutes

I can say that because i have zenfone 2 with Quick charge support bro,, my zen2 only need 30m~40m from 10% to 60~70%
And can you upload log battery from 0~100 ?
Because i have 2 mido and all need 3hour for fully charge,, check my prove in attachment (log battery charge mido)
My friends also need +-3H for fully charged reno4

Well my sister has a zen 2 too... It's not quick charge..
Quick charge is qualcomm tech, zen 2 have intel on it.
And zen2 just have 3000mah battery on it, mido is 4000mah capacity... It's 25% larger. Its totally different...
Before using mido, I was using mi5s that have QC 3.0, with legit 3.0 charger and usb-c, its no way 60-70% in 30 minutes.
Well I have 2 mido, come with 2 different stock charger. One is RN4 global, with EU plug... Yes it will need about 3 hours to charge. One is RN4x, come with chinese charger. It need 2.5 hours to top... 2 hours will get you from 10 to anywhere between 10-90+%, the last 10% is very slow...
Will provide logs later, because I've fully charged my phone this morning and still have 78% left this afternoon.
I've measured this morning charge... Start from 17% to 90% takes 100 minutes.
Note 4 takes less than 2 hours for full charge 10-100%. Just don't use the phone while charging.

Yeah, need at least 2hours to charge from critical value to 90 percent, as my experience fully charge ur phone is bad (i prefer to charge till 95 to 97 percent) furthermore the screen on time is the same.

As request, this is my charge logs....
Yours from 10%... 1 hour charge = 39%
While mine from 10%... 1 hour charge = 58%
Sorry, I have many work to do and need my phone, so I can't do full charge now. You can see the graph, I have to use my phone while charging... Should be more than 58% if I do not use it
