I am currently debating which method i should follow. i read that recently samsung tighten the security and im not sure if im on that patch yet. can anyone tell me which method i should follow when rooting
also should i wait for samsung to release 7.0 nougat first before i root?
Model: SM-G610Y
Security software version: ASKS v1.2_161011
security patch level: March 1, 2017
Firmware: 6.0.1
also can we reset knox on this device?
anyone?
Im looking for this too, but i guess we will have no root for J7.
I'll be happy to be wrong. [emoji23]

I understand completely. In most cases knox can be disabled or at least reset, but the level of development on lower end devices is often limited. What carrier your through also tends to make a difference.

try installin kingo root
install kingo root app. and open the app touch the one click root. sometimes it first and second attempt will be failed. (need network connection)

Do not do this. Lollipop schi545 has a locked bootloader, if you downgrade you will not be able to properly boot.

yea its called we know more then you so take your attitude and shove it
once you upgrade to lolipop there is no flashing back PERIOD
updating blows the qfuses which means you can not downgrade the bootloader or kernel it doesn't matter if its with odin or kies or if its a official or non official package once you update its over
and had you taken 15m to search the forum before shooting your mouth off you would have known that
You had me at "We know more". Nice try BTW.
He is already on Lollipop okay?
So once he tries to 'officially' downgrade it to KK and fails then what option does Bob have?
Bob can always flash official lollipop. Get your facts straight!

No your wrong. There's a problem with flashing backwards because it blows a q fuse. It'll brick his phone. Seriously lollipop is not downgradable.

Maybe you guys are right. But what I have been doing to all of my phones : HTC DNA, HTC ONE M8, HTC One MAX, Droid Razr XT912, Droid Ultra etc is 'maybe' downgrading on it unknowingly on an unlocked bootloader. Is that so?
There is a hardware check along with a binary fuse on bootloader versions. Downgrading bootloader with odin is a very bad idea. If it were doable we would all be on mdk and there would be way more custom roms. @braindeductions even though the bootloader is locked you can still safestrap roms. What are you on oc1?
Hey guys.
Im having a little bit of troublr finding out how to get from 5.1.1 to 6.0.1 using a Mac

There is twrp for nougat , test build just go through the twrp tread and you'll find it. I'm on 7.0 with twrp and root
Flash the supersu 2.76 zip and you'll get root. As of xposed, as far as I remember it's in the process to make it compatible for nougat.
As of downgrade try flashing mm zip in twrp or just use lgup and mm kdz to go back to mm

No I'm thinking about the one that can boot in nougat that supports external SD fat32, but the one you want, go to twrp irc talk with the developer of our twrp said and test the build that supports exfat for him. I'm at work so I can't do any tests now

When you go to zip flashing and it brings you to directories, i think there was "mount" or "choose to show" and select sd card and it will work

Hello... About your problem... PM me your email address, i will send you twrp for nougat that supports external SD card in any file format and you can post link here. I tried to attach the file to this message but i get an error. I had nougat as well and went back to MM no problem.
To go back i used V10n rom (branded .kdz for Poland) and downgraded through LGUP, but via UPGRADE, not refurbish. All went silky smooth

How did you downgrade? I tried using the M DLL and N DLL. Both not working. Error code blah blah blah. What version of LG UP you're using? Thanks.
Ver. 1.11 and 850_dll for MM. Maybe you have wrong kdz file or trying to go back via REFURBISH?

Maybe downgrade is only available in H850 who's bootloader is unlocked? Is your bootloader unlocked?
Does anyone know if it is possible to install the ROMs of the S9 + American model (SM-G965U) in the S9 + model of Brazil (SM-G9650)?
I'm thinking of testing the Android Pie betas, but it's just for the American model.
Anybody know?
Thanks
I wanna know too.
I have the 965U, what u can do is get both CSC files for 965U and 9650 and try. There is no chance u would brick your phone and u get to roll back if anything happens

I think it would best be to install G965U firmware with G9650 ZTO CSC. This is right about risk of corrupting or losing IMEI?
someone did it
someone try?
I would like to know this too.
I get the same question, who was the brave who tested the beta of G965U in G9650 ?, I would like to try, but I do not want to be my device
Any news regarding this topic?
what is the CSC code for the USA unlocked model?
you have to wait according to sammobile on September 15 beta release for our s9 plus
I've tried flashing with Odin a G965U1 firmware on my S9+ Unlocked Mexico (G9650) with no success, it fails with a Partition Error...
Sadly, the owners of unlocked S9+ in Mexico are stucked on September Update

Wait for the beta from China, G9650/G9600 are the models for China and Latin America.
