Does the leMax2 really support VoLTE, beyond the specification we can see on internet ?
Actually, I’ve never made a VoLTE call with this phone. The HD or LTE icon never appears, and I never make a call with the crystal clear VoLTE sound with this phone.
I’ve tested with SmallEUI 23S, CUOCO 23S, as well as several nougat rom which should support VoLTE (RR, AOSIP…).
I had a Vernee Apollo Lite phone before this one, which allow me to make VoLTE call, so I can confirm that my carrier support this techno.
So, for whose can make call with VoLTE, do you have a icon skowing that you are on VoLTE ? Do you really ear a better sound (the sound of a call is dramatically different between an VoLTE call and a standard call) ?
Thanks.
depends on your telecom /networkprovider, even here in germany E-Plus no VoLTE ^^

Hi,
Sure. It depends on the provider.
But I had an Apollo lite before (I change my phone, not my provider), and the VoLTE worked. Everytime I made a volte call, there was a HD icon display in the dialer (Android stock dialer), and the quality of the sound was just fabulous.
Never had any particular notification on the lemax2, neither a HD quality during my call. And I make the test by calling another person who has the same provider, as well as a volte compatible phone.
I am using small eui.
When I make a call the phone stays on LTE so volte works for me.

How is the recording quality?
Its Great
Other handsets do it too. If an Oppo is set to UK/US theres no record but set it to HK and the option will appear.
Does anybody know if RN4 esp. Mido/Snapdragon variant supporting HD Voice (Audio-Codec AMR-WB) or maybe even HD Voice+ (Audio-Codec EVS) for telephony/calls ?
The question arises if this is supported by hardware and which ROMs support this ?

Dont ask me why it's disabled, this phone is truly "made in China". (fun fact: HD Voice works on MTK variant)
You can try to just add "ro.ril.enable.amr.wideband=1" in build.prop but i dont think it's gonna do anything.
I found out that VoLTE uses either AMR-WB or EVS codec. So if VoLTE is working it should use HD voice.
This hack is for HD voice over 2G/3G

VoLTE works, but it has nothing to do with HD Voice (which is 3G technology), VoLTE is LTE technology.
If VoLTE doesn't work for you then you better contact your sim carrier.
Just like the title says - I'm looking for a call recording app for a SM-G965U (US based Snapdragon Variant) that works with a bluetooth headset. Phone has been upgraded to 9 / Pie.
I've tried ACR, Boldbeast and Skvalex but none of them were able to record the other side of the conversation over bluetooth. My side comes over clearly.
I'm seeing that some people are using a CSC / SIM card hack to get the built in recording working but from what I've read that doesn't seem to be an option with the Snapdragon. Since there isn't a root option for Snapdragon, choices are limited.
Any help would be greatly appreciated - both call recording and the bluetooth headset make my life much easier and it's tough to decide between the two.
Thanks!
You will not have call recording on Pie. Google removed the API used by apps to record calls.
I just deleted ACR and boldbeast from my S9+ because it does not work anymore.
Only option is to go back to Oreo 8.1 to get the call recording back.
I'm on latest global beta. Phone is not rooted. I'm not using VoLTE (because there is no VoLTE in my village). Mic doesn't work in calls usually. When i end call and recall, it's working. How can i fix it. Hardware is not damaged. Mic works well in video or sound recording. I tried RR Oreo few months ago and there was same issue, but not that often. Is there any other rom which doesn't have this bug?
Sorry for bad English.
I'm on T-Mobile, and I have a T-Mobile supplied S21. My S21 is generally functioning very well.
One problem: If I'm on WiFi calling, and I make a call, the person on the other end can hear me perfectly, but I hear nothing. It's not a trivial issue like my volume is off or the sound is redirected to another device.
If that person calls me, even if I am on WiFi calling---no problem.
If I call out using Google Voice Dialer (WiFi calling, Google Voice number)---no problem.
I have WiFi calling (T-Mobile) enabled. VoLTE enabled.
