I am running the Temasek ROM cm-13.0-20161226 UNOFFICIAL Temasek i9300-V12.
I have two questions please regarding the camera
1. I cannot find how to save camera pictures to the SD Card
2. Also Photo Gallery doesn't seem to exist
Thanks in Advance
Although I don't use that rom, if you can't find a way to save to another location you can use an app to bind folders, apps2sd by vickybonnick is the one I use but there are others like foldermount, for example..
For gallery you can install Google photos, which in my opinion is a much more comprehensive gallery app.

as we all know..cm9 is too heavy for our ace...
this is a thread in which you can make suggestions on how to tackle this problem..
my suggestions are to remove all apps except file manager market launcher and other imp apps required to just run an android then upload a non flashable zip for removed apps so that users can download it and install apps required by them this might free some up(i hope)
bootable sd card can also be a way out
this solution might not be like by some but its nice we all know we have come a long way down the ics road...from opening drawer takes 20 secs to opening drawer taking no time thanks to galaxyics...what i suggest is to upload a patch for camera preview fix for current nighlty build and end the developing of cm9 and focusing on aosp...or they can keep updating the current sources...
thats all i can suggest to the legends for ace known as galaxyics

My main problem with Cyanogenmod is that the default Touchwiz camera app is the best free camera app I have seen, and even more so for the video camera.
I tried taking the Camera .apk file, but I just get a message saying "application not installed" when I try to install it, and "there was a problem parsing the package" if I try to install it from /root.
Yes unknown whatever installs are allowed. And I've tried a hundred and seven different installer/file manager apps, but they all direct me to the same default installer.
Other apps I'd want to take are the calculator and video player.

They would need porting as they require the Samsung Touchwiz framework to run (only included in touchwiz roms)
I feel the same way. It's the only thing holding me back from flashing a CM rom. The camera is excellent on stock, but with the CM camera app pictures and videos don't come out as clear as they should.
yes, that's a common problem on CM roms ,,, i tried CM on my old Xperia S and Xperia Live with Walkman and on my new SGS3 LTE ,, and i noticed that the camera app in the stock is way better than the CM. the other thing is TW roms have the best features and the exclusive sensors control, so you can get the maximum of ur smart phone.
i liked the CM and it wins the Xperia stock rom but it fails if we compared it to TW ,,
i recommend to stay on TW and u can add mods and customize every single thing with Xposed firmware
hope to be fair on comparing :confused

Hello everyone,
After running on MIUI for a while (a stable release based on android 4.1.2) I made the switch to Cyanogenmod 11 today. Everything is working just fine, there is only one problem that I noticed.
When I installen MIUI, I noticed that the photo's I took with the rom before that (PAC) were missing. It seemed that MIUI created a different file to store the camera pictures. I copy/pasted the camera pictures into MIUI's folder to have them easily accessible from the gallery app.
Now that I've switched to Cyanogenmod though, the MIUI camera folder is gone. I also noticed that the whatsapp folder only contains the pictures from before MIUI.
I've been searching through my SD card with windows explorer as well as the Cyanogenmod file explorer, but I can't find them anywhere. Does anyone know how I can acces the files that were created in my MIUI days?

Hi to everyone,
I tried several kind of Rom 4.4.2 CM and AOSP and in all of this kind of rom i found a problem with camera that goes in FC.
The first time after install it seems work well but then some second of use goes in fc, starts to crash and device restart and this happens Always camera comes open.
I search and tried some apperently Fix but without success.
thanks

thanks
for link.
I tried but doesn't work. I tried an orginal rom based on AOSP and on this seems work.
Now I must install a 4.1.2 to have an efficent device.
I've been on SlimSaber (SlimKat unofficial by fusionjack) and never once had this issue in quite a few months. However I've also tried 4.4 pac, beanstalk, spirit rom and probably others that I've forgotten without this problem.
To ask the obvious, you do install these roms with a full wipe right? The other thing, are you using the official aosp camera that comes with the rom? Or another app that uses the camera (e.g snapchat, instagram for example? There's a bug with the nexus 5 in which the camera will sometimes crash when using it with a third party app. I guess it's possible for this bug to filter down to our device... As I don't use any such apps I can't comment on my own experience with that. But google that issue to read more, you'll find plenty on forums about it.

Hi,
and thanks for the reply.
I tried OMNI rom that is based on AOSP and now la SOKP.
For now only the Omni has been the better with the camera, but this rom doesn't have the same setting of a Slim.
SOKP goes like other AOSP rom. When camera is active for some moment seems work well so moving device to see and touch the screen on photosphere it goes in FC and reboot.
Some days ago, i do this test drag the Omni rom camera on Slim. result app in fault like all rom.
Can anyone explain me why happen if android, base rom are the same?
