Is there a way to disable Bluetooth Volume Control ? - Xperia Z5 Compact Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Volume control of Blueooth is HELL on my Sony Z5 Compact.
step 2 is too low and step 3 is too loud (ARGHGHGH)
So i was thinking that maybe i could simply disable volume control and control them seperately ?
eg set the phone to eg 50% and then use the volume control on the speaker (Harman Kardon Onyx Studio 3)
if i plug in the phone using Minijack i can do this - but then its not wireless anymore.
what do to ?
any other solutions to the volume bug ?
PS. Ive tried installing a fine-tune volume app and its kind of messed up - works almost but then it doesn't after all ...

You can override this without doing anything special in the Developer's Options

Ohhhh, the "disable absolute volume" option!
I will try it.
Thanks!!

Headphones are way too loud

Hey guys, with my touch hd, i like using my in-ear headphones although they are far too loud when using the music player tab in manilla. how can i put the volume down?
try searching, there's already a thread about this.
as far as i know, that thread suggests using advanced config to set the music player value low. Setting it to 1 still makes it rather loud for a minimum sound level and so this doesnt really solve my problem.
also, with the audio booster enabled, how do i change the overall volume?
the only way ive been doing this is by creating profiles with various changes to the overall db values (ie subtracting and adding 1 from total, 2, 3 etc.) but this is a long process and id have to do it for every config.
any ideas?

This maybe a bit simplistic and you may have tried it, but why don't you take all the frequencies down to -6 in the Audio Booster? This in theory should drop the overall volume by -6db? The other thing I did was buy high impedence earbuds which where 150ohms, but ear buds are not everyones thing. I don't like "in the ear" phones myself. I have some yuin PK1's....they are superb HiFi.
If the music is too loud, you can edit the registry to fix it:
Local_machine\software\HTC\AudioManger_eng\Config\ music_player_volumn
Change the DWORD to 10 or lower and soft-reset the mobile
(Original value is hexadecimal: 64 or Decimal: 100)
You have just decreased the maximum music player volume in TouchFLO3D
Here is another tip.
If you want the phone to remember the last volume used with headphones, so that the next time you plug them in, they will automatically play at that last volume, you can also do this in the registry. The only problem with this particular tip, is that after every soft-reset, you'll have to enter the changes again in the registry.
But here is how to do that:
Local_machine\software\HTC\VolumeOverlay\SavedHand SetVolume
Change DWORD to 0

How about using your Stylus (or finger) to lower at minimum?
Rgds,
huh?
Why would you edit registry etc?
Whats wrong with the up/down volume keys or as stated the volume icon in taskbar?

In some cases, (and I had this problem), even having the volume at just a couple of bars was pretty darn loud. That meant that it didn't give you much room to play around with a decent volume range. Basically, you knew you never needed the volume louder than just a few bars. If you wanted to rock out - it was fine. But if you wanted to listen to music at a soft volume, it was not that easy. If you turned it down a bar or so, it would drop the volume quite a bit and another bar down meant no more volume. Also, the side buttons drop the volume faster than if you use your stylus. So, that meant that using the buttons sometimes dropped the volume from loud to mute in one press. So, I had to take the stylus out every time to carefully lower the volume just a bar or two. And that gets annoying.
So by making the registry adjustment, you are basically setting your desired max volume to be at the top of the bars. Now you have whole range of bars to slowly drop the volume down when you want to listen to softer music.
Not everyone has this problem. I had it with my stock ROM, but once I started using Dutty's ROMs, I never had a problem with it.
I see, 5 mins out of box Dutty's ROM on my HD
This problem went away since i switched over to kwbr's Topix a while ago. It seems to be a result of some headphones having a higher sensitivity to others, so they interpret the same electrical signal into a louder sound, hence why HTC try to eliminate the problem by giving a set of headphones which are known to be the right sensitivity.
also, once i have the volume all the way i have it, how can i change the volume? when using the audio booster, the volume control no longer works

I don't understand your question.
However, when I use the audio booster, I can still use the volume buttons as usual. Do you have anything else installed that could be interfering with it? For example software to map buttons?
I think you should use WMP to play, easier to adjust the volume
Try using one of these:

Works well, microphone and answer button work, and has a volume slider so you can tweak volume as required.

[Q] Bluetooth & Notifications!

When I've connected my Bluetooth headset (MW600), my notification volumes are lowered automatically by the system. I found the reason that I don't listen to my music at full volume.
Keeping my music volume lower, is it possible to keep my notification tone's volume at max? (My setting is max already and if I disconnect, I have no issues).

Same happens to me when I connect to my car: volume goes down to approx. 70% and yields the volume control to the car. Just use your headset volume keys and forget about the phone.

Thanks for the reply.
Ja, I do that, but when I play the music it blasts out of my ear! Kinda annoying. I never had this issue with my X10 or Arc. I used this same Bluetooth with them!

Same. Is it normal that music is soft through earpiece? Unrooted by the way.

I managed to increase it a bit from the the Sound Menu in Settings.
I used the Sound Enhancement and changed the equaliser sliders.
I also later install Player Pro and Poweramp. Both gave better and louder sound.
The equaliser had a preamp slider to increase
Fixed Xperia Z2 headphone volume -NO ROOT-
You can increase your headphone volume on xperia z2 dramatically, before i used this method my volume was constantly on 100% because it was too low,and now it's on 60% because it is too high and the best of all is that quality is untouched. This method is very easy...First of all download app called volume booster. Now your walkman settings should look like on the pics i uploaded before you start using the app (I hope they did im new on this site and im on my phone lol) ok so go to walkman/settings/ and do the SAME settings as i have on pics. When you'r done with that take your headphones plug them in play some song,go to volume booster and and move volume button in app from maximum to minimum and without releasing the button move it to the maximum(your button should barely touch the minimum sound so do it fast ---> From max to minimum without releasing than to the maximum and release button, you will hear sound like you do when you press volume up for call volume) if volume after that sound doesnt increase do it more times until the volume isn't VEEERY loud.I do it every time when listening to song it's not hard as it sound you will get used to it,it will pay off trust me Love my xperia z2 now ^^ (settings are in croatian but that isnt importnant just uncheck clear audio go to equaliser and max out evertything and turn on DSEEHX( CRUCIAL STEP)
Even simpler solution... Use viper4Android from here:good:

when i first tested my sony mdr1-rbt bluetooth headset I thought too that volume through bluetooth was very low until I figured out that the volume keys on the headphone do not trigger the phones volume but its own internal volume, which was when i first testet it, set to its minimum :silly:
nevermind if you don't have these, I know that viper4android can boost sound through bluetooth by enabling the playbackagc option and set it to moderate or extreme. only "problem" is you have to be rooted.
sorry for now these are the only possibilities which come to my mind.

Bluetooth volume problem

I have a big problem with Bluetooth volume control of hands free system in my car. Connection is good but when I have a conversation I can not control volume from my phone. It is set to max and the sound is very distorted. In volume panel in phone appears extra canal with probably microphone icon but it controls nothing. In developer options I found option "turn off bluetooth absolute volume" but checkin it also makes nothing. The situation as I described was in originaƂ global rom and also in new miui.eu rom. My phone is Redmi Note 4 (snapdragon) and my car is Renault Espace 4. Can anyone advice me what shall I do to solve this problem?
(when I paired smartphones of other brands ie. Samsung, Umi, Jiayu everything works fine)
After 2 days:
I've checked this issue with Slim 7 Rom and Resurrection Remix Rom. In both there is no control of bluetooth volume during connection in my car but the volume level in Slim7 Rom was lower, and sound was less distorted. Apps like Bluetooth Volume also did not work.
